Blanver  Variety with abundant, large, bright green,

somewhat savoy leaves.  Selection noted for its resistance to bolting.

Can be planted all year round.  Variety suitable for processing with planting rate

from 75 to 90 kg/Ha.

Histal  Very uniform selection of Aguadulce.

 Tall plants, with 4-5 thick, strong stems, large

leaves with oval leaflets.  Extra-long pods of 30 to 33 cm in length and

3 cm in width, containing 7-8 large grains.  Semi-early variety, ripening 3-4 days earlier than

Aguadulce and with good resistance to cold.

 Aguadulce türünden geliştirilmiş homojen bir

tür.  Yüksek bitki, kuvvetli ve kalın 4-5 sap, oval

büyük yapraklar.  30-33 cm uzunluğunda, 3 cm kalınlığında 7-8 iri

Broad beans Bakla Reina Blanca  This variety is remarkable by its high quality

pods, which are very uniform, straight, cylindrical, narrow and compact; with 5-7 grains, all of the same size.  White seed, maintaining the white thread when

the grain is dry.  Variety suitable for freezing due to the grain

characteristics and concentration of their production, as all pods are harvested almost simultaneously.  Early cycle, flowering two days earlier than

classical Muchamiel variety.  Bu tür tek tip, düz, silindirik, ince ve yüksek kalite

Vegetable seed specifications Vegetable growing has become a highly specialized and intensive activity.

As a result of the ever increasing demand for better quality vegetable growers and plant raisers require an improved quality of the basic material.

The demand for specific seed forms and more information about seed quality has strongly increased to better influence emergence and required number of plants.

Seed is a natural product. The often varying environmental conditions thus influence final results. It is therefore often not possible to give detailed information about emergence and other physical seed characteristics. To meet the wishes of clients as much as possible SEMILLAS FITÓ has made up quality standards for the various seed categories.

The germination percentages mentioned are SEMILLAS FITÓ minimum required figures and made up according to ISTA methods and tolerances.

In cases where the seed does not apply with these product specifications SEMILLAS FITÓ will inform the client.

General definitions Normal seed In general, normal seed has not been subjected to special processes. It is sold by weight and/or by count, depending on the product. Normal seed complies with national standards.

Precision seed Precision seed has been subjected to additional processes. It has a uniform size and high germination. Precision seed is sold by count.

Terms describing the reaction of plants to pests or pathogens and to abiotic stress Immunity Not subject to attack or infection by a specified pest or pathogen.

Resistance The ability of a plant variety to restrict the growth and development of a specified pest or pathogen and/or the damage they cause when compared to susceptible plant varieties under similar environmental conditions and pest or pathogen pressure. Resistant varieties may exhibit some disease symptoms or damage under heavy pest or pathogen pressure.

Two levels of resistance are defined: High resistance (HR): plant varieties that highly restrict the growth and development of the specified pest or pathogen under normal pest or pathogen pressure when compared to susceptible varieties. These plant varieties may, however, exhibit some symptoms or damage under heavy pest or pathogen pressure.

Intermediate resistance (IR): plant varieties that restrict the growth and development of the specified pest or pathogen, but may exhibit a greater range of symptoms or damage compared to high/standard resistant varieties. Moderately/intermediately resistant plant varieties will still show less severe symptoms or damage than susceptible plant varieties when grown under similar environmental conditions and/or pest or pathogen pressure.

Susceptibility The inability of a plant variety to restrict the growth and development of a specified pest or pathogen.

Tolerance The ability of a plant variety to endure abiotic stress without serious consequences for growth, appearance and yield.

Priming Priming is defined as an activation of the germination process with the purpose to obtain faster or more uniform emergence after sowing.

Primed seed is sold by count.

Pelleting Pelleting is defined as the process of changing the seed form by covering it with a material, the main purpose being to improve uniformity of size and shape resulting in improved sowing ability. Also additional ingredients may be added. Pelleted seed is sold by count.

Filmcoating Filmcoating is a full covering, usually pigmented layer, around the seed.

The original seed form remains intact. Additional ingredients may be added. Filmcoating treatments that contain insecticides are normally identifiable by color coding. Filmcoated seed is sold by count.

Gluecoating Gluecoating is a process which fixes the applied crop protection products in an almost dustfree manner to the seed. A pigment may be added.

Terminology with regard to resistances Information on varietal resistances used in resistance codes is based on tests conducted under controlled conditions with known and described biotypes, pathotypes, races and strains of the pest or disease.

It should be noted that, in practice, the level of resistance of a variety to certain pests or diseases can be influenced by certain factors such as the age of the plant affected, the pressure of the pest or disease, its virulence and adverse environmental conditions. On the other hand, new biotypes, pathotypes, races or strains of pests and new or undescribed diseases may appear and overcome partially or totally the indicated varietal resistance.

If certain biotypes, pathotypes, races or strains of particular pests or diseases are mentioned in the resistance code of a given variety, this means that this resistance is not valid for other biotypes, races or strains of the same pest or disease.

If the biotypes, pathotypes, races and strains of a pest or disease to which resistance is given are not mentioned in a resistance code, this means that there is no widely accepted classification for the biotypes, pathotypes, races and strains of these pests and diseases.

In these cases, resistance is valid only for certain biotypes, pathotypes, races and strains without further specification thereof.

Dirençle ilgili terminoloji

Direnç değişiklikleri hakkında direnç kodlarında kullanılan bilgi bilinen ve tanımlanmış salgın veya hastalıklara karşı biyotiplerle, patotiplerle, cinslerle ve bitki saplarıyla yapılan testlere dayanmaktadır.

Vurgulamak gerekir ki bir bitki türünün belirli salgınlara veya hastalıklara karşı direnç seviyesi bitkinin yaşı, salgın veya hastalığın basıncının şiddeti ve öldürücülüğü, olumsuz çevre koşulları gbi belirli faktörlerden etkilenir. Öte yandan yeni veya tanımlanmamış salgın veya hastalık biyotipleri, patotipleri veya, cinsleri ortaya çıkabilir ve belirtilen tür direncini kısmen veya tamamen aşabilir.

Belirli bir türün direnç kodunda belirli salgın ve hastalıklara ilişkin biyotiplerden, patotiplerden ve cinslerden söz ediliyorsa bu söz konusu direncin aynı salgın veya hastalığın bilinmeyen veya tanımlanmamış diğer biyotipleri, patotipleri ve cinsleri karşısında geçerli olmayacağı anlamına gelir.
