Willkommen Welcome Liebe Filmemacher*innen, Sehsüchte freut sich, euch als Gäste zu unserer 46. Festivalausgabe begrüßen zu dürfen! Gemeinsam stehen uns sechs voll gepackte Festivaltage bevor: Wir werden eure Filme sehen, über die Oberflächen dieser Welt diskutieren und das ein oder andere Bier trinken. Damit ihr euch schnell bei uns zurecht findet und die Zeit optimal nutzen könnt, geben wir euch diesen Filmemacher-Guide an die Hand. Neben einem Lageplan des Festivalgeländes findet ihr hier hilfreiche Informationen zu Rahmenveranstaltungen und der Stadt Potsdam, die besonders für euch als Filmemacher*innen interessant sind. Filled up on popcorn calories? Then its time for some athletic activity with the traditional Sehsüchte soccer tournament! Here students, filmmakers and the fitter part of the media industry fight for the trophy, fame and honor. For all those still indifferent, there is also a barbecue on the side of the field.
Outch. The Sehsüchte Party last night was legendary, but now you have a headache and a queasy stomach? Get out of bed and over to our hangover breakfast. If you‘re suffering, it might as well be in the best company! Around lunchtime the worst will be over and you can look forward to a glass of sparkling wine at the Awards Ceremony in the evening.

Showcases Lodz Film School Film University Babelsberg
Sehsüchte offers insight into the current student workings with the exhibition by the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. It will offer short, documentary and animation films a forum outside of the competition and shows the bandwidth of different film projects. The showcase 2017 will be expanded with productions by the Lodz Film School, one of the oldest and most important film schools in Poland. In addition to the film blocks, you are invited to a little round of talks and a get-together between students of both universities.
