ACTIVE LINE PLUS & ACTIVE LINE The new Active Line Plus with up to 50 Nm offers pure riding enjoyment and a natural riding experience. The quiet, small yet powerful drive unit is the best in its class and offers a significant plus in riding enjoyment, as well as improved handling due to its low weight and reduced size. The innovative drive concept allows a very light motor weight of only approx. 3.2 kg. The new Active Line is the the smallest, lightest and most elegant system in the Bosch eBike family. With up to 40 Nm, the quiet drive unit provides just the right support for relaxed riding enjoyment up to a maximum of 25 km/h. TECHNOLOGY ROCKS. FLIP CHIP GEOMETRY FITTING The Flip Chip is a small device found on both sides of the shock mount which can be fitted in two directions. Changing the orientation of the Flip Chip alters the frames geometry: you’ll have either a steeper head angle for technical terrain where more agility is needed or a slacker head angle for a more stable ride on fast descents.
DFS DIRECTIONAL FLEX SYSTEM With DFS, the seat stays are specially shaped and fulfill several functions. The middle part of the seat stays has a transverse-oval shape and offers vertical flex, thus more comfort. At the same time, this design leads to more lateral stiffness, which means increased directional stability of the frame.
CFS CLEVER FENDER SOLUTION To adapt the fork to different tire sizes and to add functionality, we created the Clever Fender Solution which features either a Mini-Fender or a fork insert that can easily be exchanged. When using wide tires you can opt to run either the Mini-Fender for basic spray-protection or no cover at all. Running on narrow tires you can opt for an insert to adjust the fork design to the tire size.
ADJUSTABLE CHAINSTAY LENGTH
The frame’s kinematics are designed to always allow the suspension to work as effectively as possible in all riding conditions. At the beginning of travel the rear end has a very high leverage ratio, meaning that a larger lever is working the shock and thereby guarantees a very sensitive feel to the suspension.
The length of the chainstay can be adjusted to a short or long setting via a small insert that can be mounted in different orientations. Changing the orientation requires you to take out the rear wheel and flip the insert in both drop-outs so the axle bores both point either forward (short setting) or rearward (long setting). Adjusting your chainstay to the shorter setting means more agility while the long setting provides a more stable ride and is especially suited for high-speed tracks.

LCG stands for the dedication of BERGAMONT engineers to achieve the lowest possible center of gravity in a bike. This is ultimately achieved when the heavy components of the frame (swing arms, bearings, rear shock) are centrally located as close to the geometrical center as possible and above the bottom bracket. The lower the center of gravity is, the better is the handling of a bike.
Our ambition to make good things even better led us to design our very own, unique motor housing and bash guard for our e-bikes. It’s pleasing to the eye and also a major design feature. The motor now fits seamlessly into our bikes’ design and the impact-resistant and glass fiber reinforced bash guard doubles as a cable guide which makes maintenance a lot easier.

The coaxial positioning of the rear link bracket around the rear axle provides maximum decoupling of the suspension and brakes. The Coax Pivot System provides neutral braking without brake judder and nega064
tive influence on the suspension. Conversely, the suspension works independently of the brake. Advantages: less weight, more stiffness and grip.

FEM FINITE ELEMENT METHOD To simulate and analyze individual frame components even before the first samples are fabricated, the BERGAMONT engineers use the latest FEM computer software. Components can be tested and optimized for static and dynamic loads way in advance. There is no more trial and error, only precise mathematical calculation. This guarantees the best possible safety of the resulting products while greatly reducing developing times.
BXF BOX FLANGE CONCEPT As a central frame element the Box Flange simultaneously eliminates several constructional weaknesses of low-entry frames. On the one hand the frames stiffness is significantly increased and on the other hand BERGAMONT’S engineers have enough room to integrate the battery into the seat tube. The combined effect of these changes is an improved handling and a more stable bike, which means a safer ride.
