It is a tale of adventure that started back in 1897 based on the skill and creativity of a resourceful master cobbler, which has continued for over one hundred years with commitment, tenacity and all Italian passion. Dolomite has been shaped by true adventure. The first in 1954: an Italian expedition group started the mission to conquer the K2 in the Himalaya mountains one of the most dangerous peak in the world - they were equipped with Dolomite boots. Many other expeditions followed: from Groenlandia in 1966, the ascent of the great Fitz Roy peak in Patagonia in 1976, to the last charity “challenge” Rangdum 2011. It is to these extraordinary traditions that Dolomite owes its unique knowledge and great experience, which you can feel in every piece of the collection.
Lifestyle Collection Dolomite presents a collection rich in new features for SS 2017. The sources of inspiration – yesteryear’s light hiking and today’s urban outdoor – generate a multifunction collection for cross-activity use ranging from travel to everyday wear. Dolomite’s iconic Cinquantaquattro range is enriched with colours, new style and technical input, such as the new Cinquantaquattro Surround, which harnesses Gore-Tex® Surround® technology to ensure maximum breathability and waterproofness under diverse environmental conditions. Another new look is the Cinquantaquattro Knit with a knitted upper which envelops the foot like a glove for maximum comfort. The women’s models include a restyling of the Cinquantaquattro Canvas range, now enriched with more spring-like colours. Ottantacinque also broadens out; this range is inspired by lifestyle changes in the Eighties, when sports footwear began to be worn in urban settings. Clearly inspired by the outdoors and light hiking, Ottantacinque Surround SS 2017 implements Gore-Tex® Surround® technology and a thoroughly urban look.

Shoes engineered with Gore-Tex® Surround™ product technology are designed for indoor and outdoor use in moderate or warmer conditions. They are durably waterproof and highly breathable all around, offering enduring waterproof protection and optimum breathability all around the foot. Water stays on the outside while perspiration can easily escape from the inside. Moisture and warmth are not only conducted via the upper of the shoe, but also downwards to the sole and out through large side sole openings. Your feet stay cool, dry and comfortable even at higher temperatures.
The use of GORE-TEX® in footwear creates a breathable, waterproof barrier thanks to a series of thin membranes, so your feet can stay fresh and dry in any conditions.
Vibram® soles, thanks to the combination of hyper-functional design and exclusive rubber compounds, ensure best performances in terms of comfort and lasting quality. The Morflex compound offers extreme lightness, high impact absorption, energy conservation and excellent comfort for everyday shoes.

Ortholite: foodbed that uses recycled rubber, featuring long-term shock absorption, excellent breathability, lightness and antimicrobial action. Removable and washable.
