The gift of literacy in our community Our vision: To welcome all people to a lifelong journey of enrichment and an exploration of ideas.

Public libraries exist to bring a broad array of materials to enrich the lives of all who live in their communities, from those just discovering the joy of reading to those who turn to libraries to find answers to questions that have puzzled them for years. We try to have on hand what you will need or might enjoy before you even know that it will resonate with you. This work is rewarding for all of us‌ even if it has become harder as our revenues have fallen. We are grateful that there are those in our community who have contributed through the years to keep our resources stronger than they would be if we had only tax resources to depend upon. In fact there has never been a year in which individuals, non-profit organizations or businesses across the community have not provided gifts to the Library. Their gifts

have enriched the experience of using this Library for every one of us. The library staff has assembled a list of ideas that we recommend for your consideration as an opportunity to expand the wonder and service offered by your community library. Please know that no gift is too large or small to help with the services we provide. If you can imagine a more wonderful Herrick Library‌ please, help us create it. Sincerely,

Tom Genson, Director Herrick District Library
