A late check in fee of $50 will be charged after 9pm. Check Out time is 12:00pm CST Check-Outs as late as 1:30 p.m. are charged $50. Samasati’s entrance o�ice is open 8am to 5 pm every day. Samasati’s entrance gate is closed after 9:00pm
Frequently Asked Questions How close is the beach? The nearest Caribbean beach is a short shuttle ride away, 15 minutes to Puerto Viejo. What is the weather like? Mornings are generally sunny and a�ernoons will o�en bring in tropical rain. Will I encounter wildlife? Yes, we share the rainforest with all creatures, including insects who may make a guest appearance in your room. The lodging is screened and closed off, however, we recommend no food items outside of the restuarant to avoid attracting our rainforest friends. Is there A/C? There is no air conditioning, but the screened in windows allow for the year round sea breeze to circulate and cool. What if I’m not a vegetarian or if I do have dietary restrictions, requests? Fish (market price) and Chicken ($7) are available for addtional charge . We ask that you notify us of your dietary needs prior to arrival.
Is there wi�? Yes, it's included for free and available in the restaurant & lounge. Do I need a 4X4 to stay at Samasati? No, 4X4 shuttle service is provided to transport guests up and down the mountain road. If you bring a non 4X4 vehicle to Samasati you're welcome to use our secure parking at base camp. If you bring a 4X4 vehicle to Samasati you can park it securely in the sanctuary. How far away is Samasati from San Jose Airport? Samasati is 4-5 hours away from the San Jose airport by car or shuttle van. If you prefere to take a flight to the Limon airport, it is 30min by air and then another 45 min by shuttle to Samasati. What amenities are available? Samasati is a full service eco-lodge and has many amenities available including a Jacuzzi, Restaurant, Lounge, Spa, & wifi. Situated within 250 acres of primary and secondary rainforest, Samasati may not be an ideal destination for travelers who desire: Luxury accommodations In room wi� (available in lounge) Walking access to the beach (daily shuttle departs at 10am) At Samasati, we do our best to exceed guests expectations, but please note the property’s in the rainforest and therefore heavy rain and insect encounters are probable.
Airport Transfers, Spending the night in San Jose & Driving Directions Details available at www.samasati.com/questions/ Cancellation Policy Deposits and payments for reservations at Samasati are not refundable, including in case of early departure. If cancellation of your reservation is made 2 weeks before your arrival, you will receive a Samasati Credit Voucher that can be used for the six months following your original reservation’s date. Booked transfers will be fully charged unless the transfer’ reservation is cancelled 72 hours before arrival time.
