Voltage-tolerant A dynamo supplies 6 V AC. An e-bike battery between 6 and 42 V DC. A regular dynamo headlight is unsuitable in such a case. A special headlight is required – naturally with B&M’s established and superlative IQ-TEC light technology. The solution is here: the new LUMOTEC IQ Fly E.

The headlight has an ON/OFF switch as well as an output for connecting regular dynamo rear lights! Suitable for speed e-bikes: admissable according to EU guideline 2009/67EG, complies with the standards of ISO 6742/1. Please note: For pedelecs, a dynamo is still mandatory in Germany, and therefore a dynamo headlight has to be used.

This new technology is called BrakeTec. At its core, it is a new processor that is integrated into the rear light. It interprets hub dynamo signals. If the bicycles decelerates suddenly and significantly, the rear light shines noticeably brighter – like a brake light – and warns following traffic! Technic tip Charging the cache battery
E-WERK (ref. no. 361) with cache battery (ref. no. 461A)
The cache battery is an accessory for the E-WERK. With it as a buffer, “sensitive” mobile devices can be powered via a hub dynamo. The cache battery is charged by the E-WERK, but it can also be charged using a standard power outlet – e.g. at night in a hotel while travelling. To do this, the charging device of the IXON IQ Speed headlight (ref. no. 447/3) as well as an adaptor cable (ref. no. 461/447/3-1) are required. Please note: The charging device has two modes. The cache battery may only be charged using the standard charging mode (0.9 A), not the rapid charging mode (1.8 A).
