A Letter From the SAG-AFTRA Foundation President Courtney B. Vance

Dear SAG Awards® Nominees and Supporters,

For nearly 40 years, our Foundation has been providing critical emergency financial assistance and scholarships to SAG-AFTRA artists and their families during times of need. Over the past four decades, we have granted over $29 million in vital aid to our community and offered over 14,000 free educational classes, panels, and workshops to hundreds of thousands of SAG-AFTRA artists seeking to navigate the evolving entertainment industry landscape.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, we successfully transitioned all our in-person programs to remote learning alternatives. Now, three years later we begin a new chapter, not only offering a hybrid programming model that is more robust and accessible to all SAG-AFTRA artists nationwide, but making a major investment in our community and our future. Please read on to learn more about our new Center opening in Los Angeles in 2024.

We are a community that takes care of each other. I invite you to take your seat with us in this exciting new venture we’re making together!

Grace and Peace,
