Kicking off at 1pm, our fairground is going to packed with rides and games to keep you busy (and dizzy). Fairground all-time classics The Waltzers and Dodgems will back yet again, and our Summer Zorb Balls will be returning after a popular premier last year!! London based artist Nicholas will also be back to draw your caricature and capture your beautiful faces before it all gets a bit messy.

Exam time will soon be over, the sun has started to come out and play and eating ice cream is getting more and more acceptable each day. It can only mean one thing. Summer Ball is around the corner! The biggest event of the year will be happening right here on campus on Saturday 27th May! Wiley, Fleur East, Blonde, The Pigeon Detectives along with Abandoman (look them up, honestly they’re hilarious) and The Mariachis will be live here on our
Plus we hope you’ll be hungry! Because with 7 different amazing food options, you’re going to want to pace yourself. From chicken, to burgers, to sweet shops, there’s a
option to hit any craving right on the head. Our headline artists will be doing their thing until midnight, but the night doesn’t end there. Our Silent Disco will be back in the Main Marquee and ready to party with you until 4.30am. But this year we’ve stepped it up a notch by throwing a UV twist to it! Get in there for an abundance of bad dancing and even worse singing! Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten your drinks. Make sure to grab your wristbands from the wristband tent on the day. Our “alcoholic” wristbands will be £20, buying you 6 drinks with 2 tokens for doubles! Steady now! Our non alcoholic wristbands will be £7.50 and buy you 5 drinks! Plus feel free to nurse yourself to health the next day with a £5 full english breakfast at the Union Bar! Happy Summer Ball-ing!

The annual celebration of Roehampton students is upon us! The RSU Awards ceremony celebrates the achievements and successes of our wonderful students. It is a great evening of entertainment that marks the end to another successful year for Roehampton students and an opportunity for us to congratulate those about to graduate while inspiring those returning in September. Make sure you get a ticket and join us on Froebel Lawn on the 23rd May. Awards for students and staff alike will be… awarded to… students and staff… alike. 27 awards are given out: categories vary from societies, student-led events, going the extra mile to help your peers, best volunteers, most active students and your favourite members of staff. The night is spread out between delicious dishes, delightful drinks and special speeches. Emotions fly, tears are guaranteed and celebrations are… celebrated. Make sure you attend one of the best events of the year and, who knows? You may even win an award!

College Cup is far from over! May boasts the most College Cup events of the year! There are a total of 800 points up for grabs yet! Any College could still win! Will the Zeebras win for a 4th time? Will the Sharks FIN-ish in 1st place? Will the Badgers beat their way to the top or will it be the Lions who roar their way to victory? Only one way to find out: get stuck in with College life! The Cup continues consistently to cultivate college community since the College Cup’s clever, cunning and crazy creation five years ago. There are so many Cs in that sentence you may as well call it an ocean. Don’t forget all fundraising (so long as it’s logged with the RSU Activities intern) and environmental efforts also win you College Cup points! If you only do one thing College Cup related, make sure to attend the College Cup finale on 2nd June for a massive inflatable course and the famous Colour Rave - powder paint and dancing galore!

Tickets for summer ball are live. Get down to monte hall on 3rd, 4th or 5th May to secure your ticket. If you can’t make it we are doing some onlie sales, but there will be a limtied number online. Online sales will open on Friday 5th May 2017. Students will be permitted to buy a maximum of 2 tickets. Again, there will be limited availability online, so if you intend to buy your ticket online instead of on-campus then do so as quickly as possible from when sales open.

RAG has always aimed to challenge students to difficult, but also once in a lifetime tasks to not only raise money. This time, we are attempting our biggest challenge so far. So what are RAG up to? Well prepare for one of the best views of London you are ever going to get as we are bringing a bungee crane right here to Roehampton University Campus! On the 20th May, the area outside Grove House will be turned into a jump zone, as students will be sponsored to jump from a height of nearly 50 meters from a bungee crane. From midday you will be able to come spectate as these students attempt the ultimate challenge, with a Pimms bar and an ice cream truck to add further enjoyment! All this will be part of our second RAG week where from the 15th May there will be a number of events and Activities to keep you entertained, as well as to make as much money for charity as possible, Including some long distance sports challenges, and the return of Roehampton does Strictly!
