JAYCI + JALEN ALBION BASIN Jayci and Jalen met while they were both students at Utah State University. “We initially followed each other on Instagram, but didn’t meet in person until we were at a dance,” says the bride-to-be. Jayci and Jalen locked eyes from across the room, and the energy that pulled them closer together was just the beginning. Six years later, the pair was in Scottsdale, Arizona on Jalen’s birthday and had reservations at an elevated steakhouse for the special occasion. The two were seated in a private dining room, and since Jayci didn’t request the intimate space, she was very puzzled. After dinner, dessert was brought to the table and placed in front of Jayci. However, it all began to make sense when the server lifted the cover and inside was an engagement ring. Once the newly engaged couple arrived home, another surprise awaited. Jalen filled their apartment with balloons, candles and rose petals, along with a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and two dozen roses to enjoy.

BEKAH + JOSH CEDAR BREAKS Bekah and Josh met through mutual friends, which led to an obvious matchmaker set up shortly after. The couple dated for eight months before taking the next step in their relationship. While on a romantic date in the mountains one evening, Josh proposed to the love of his life. The couple shared a ride on their ATV to the picturesque reservoir in Pine Valley, a hidden gem offering an escape from the heat of the southern Utah desert. As they watched the sun slowly disappear behind the horizon, Josh got down on one knee and popped the question! KAILEE + CODY P L AT E A U R A N C H E S Kailee and Cody are proof that some of the greatest love stories are years in the making. Long before their relationship began, Cody was Kailee’s younger brother’s best friend. Kailee’s father even teased that she would marry Cody one day. This almost seemed preposterous to Kailee at the time, but it wasn’t until Cody graduated high school and began working on her family’s ranch that her outlook shifted. For generations, in a remote desert location among the red cliffs of Marble Canyon, Kailee’s family has been running cows, building fences, and taking care of the idyllic rugged land. It’s only fitting that she fell in love on the same ranch. The pair spent days at a time together and soon made things official as sparks were undeniably present. Their dates consisted of branding cattle and long drives from town to the ranch. After Kailee graduated from college and Cody finished farrier school, a proposal was in the works. Back home, Kailee’s sister told her that their brother had a flat tire above Sand Hollow State Park; she of course volunteered to help. Kailee made her way through the reservoir surrounded by impressive red rocks, where Cody was waiting down on one knee. Maycon + Cody E A G L E M O U N TA I N Maycon and Cody’s love story began nearly three years ago after swiping right on the dating app, Tinder. For New Years Eve, the couple headed to Bear Lake, a popular summer destination that transforms into a serene, snowy mountain town during the winter months. As they were counting down the seconds to welcome 2021, Cody popped the question! Following the proposal, Maycon and Cody commemorated the momentous occasion with an outdoor photoshoot, each donning their wedding suits.

Natalia +Devin LINDON

Natalia and Devin met at church when they were fairly young. While a connection instantaneously clicked, time would bring the two together, then separate them until finding their way back to one another. To propose, it only seemed natural for Devin to get down on one knee in the same room of their church where they first met. “He recreated the entire scenario of how we would sit next to each other every Sunday back in the day and portrayed everything so perfectly,” Natalia recalls.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES “Our advice is to unconditionally love each other. Neither one of us is perfect, but we are willing to love each other no matter what. We have learned that at the end of the day, all we’ve got is each other. Material things come and go, but our love will remain with us wherever we go. Also, being prideful doesn’t get you anywhere.”

Anastasiia + Stanislav S A LT F L A T S Anastasiia and Stanislav’s relationship goes way back to the days of youth summer camp. “We met when we were twelve years old while at camp in Ukraine. My girlfriends told me, watch how that boy looks at you. We fell in love with each other at first sight and always felt something special for one another. Stan even said, Anastasiia will be my wife one day,” the bride recalls. As the cliché phrase goes, “When you know, you know.” Years later, Stanislav and his family moved to America, while the teenage couple imagined they would never see each other again, fate persevered their love story. To propose, Stanislav coordinated a surprise sailboat proposal and enlisted the help of Anastasiia’s friend to assist with a coverup story. When Anastasiia was contacted to be part of a music video in Los Angeles, California, she didn’t suspect a thing. Fast forward, the group set sail on the Pacific Ocean for filming as Anastasiia posed in an airy white sundress. Hours passed and the sun was beginning to set beyond the sea. A light warm wind paired with shades of pink and orange in the sky offered absolute romance. The videographer instructed Anastasiia to turn around and toss rose petals into the air. There, Stanislav waited on one knee waiting to pop the question! Anastasiia and Stanislav planned an intimate and ethereal wedding for May 30th.

Kaitlin + K C S A LT L A K E C I T Y What started as a friendly conversation for Kaitlin and KC on a connecting flight from Dallas Fort Worth Airport quickly turned into a modern love story. Kaitlin and KC were both traveling to visit family in Utah when they were seated next to each other on the plane. The two hit it off and exchanged numbers before deboarding. “I almost didn’t want to give him my number because I thought it would ruin the magic of how the last few hours went,” Kaitlin shares. The magic was undeniably still present as the pair talked almost everyday for the next year before their friendship became romantic. On the couple’s one year anniversary, KC proposed at his family’s cabin in Eden complete with flowers and flickering candles in the shape of a heart. Kaitlin and KC planned a modern, vintage wedding for June 5th.

Emmy + Mitch

LINDON Since the beginning, Emmy and Mitch’s relationship has been defined as lively and fun. It’s how they met, how they got engaged, and naturally, how they were married. Emmy was working at Classic Skating & Fun Center when one Friday night Mitch made a song request then skated away. Fifteen minutes later, he returned to request another song. This time, they striked up a conversation over skate wheels and skating, only hoping to run into each other again. The following week, Mitch made an appearance at the rink where the duo skated in circles for what seemed like hours and that was the beginning of a rolling skating relationship. Fast forward nearly two years, Emmy and Mitch rode electric bikes around Sugar House, one of Salt Lake City’s oldest neighborhoods before their adventure led to a local park. The couple danced to one of their favorite songs, immersing themselves in the moment when Mitch dropped to one knee and asked Emmy to marry him. Emmy and Mitch kicked off their wedding weekend with a rehearsal dinner at Classic Skating & Fun Center where they first met. “We had a pizza food truck, an outdoor rink and skated the night away! It was so meaningful to us since we met there and spent the early stages of our relationship on the rink. Having all of our friends and family there with us made it even more special,” Emmy says.

BLOOMING LOVE Emmy and Mitch planned a colorful, retro wedding for August 17th. Floral designers, Cactus & Tropicals helped bring this vision to life, beginning with the bouquet. Using bright bold blooms and wild foraged textures, then tied with a dusty blue ribbon, Emmy’s arrangement made a beautiful statement.

P R E T T Y G A R D E N PA RT Y The reception took place at Wadley Farms, nestled at the base of Mount Timpanogos which features a grand castle, historical buildings and acres of gardens, vineyards and orchards. The bride reflects, “I had always dreamed of an outdoor wedding and we put so much into making it the cutest garden party. From the ribbons and flower garlands hanging from the trees, to the pink tablecloths we had shipped in from Los Angeles, it was an absolute dream!” Dessert was a four-tier cheesecake adorned with pretty florals and at the end of the night the newlyweds rode off on an electric bike in the pouring rain as guests tossed rose petals into the air.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES “Be true to you! The best part of our wedding was how ‘us’ it felt. We definitely rocked with some things that were trending, but we really tried to put an emphasis on things that we love. Your wedding day will be so magical and special if you let your uniqueness shine into your wedding plans.”

Breck said “I do” to Brendan at Bellissimo, an outdoor venue like none other where 75 guests cheered them on. After they kissed, doves were released, symbolizing peace and unity. The bride donned three stunning wedding styles, from an elegant A-line to romantic lace and a modern mini, each look evoked glamor and couture. Mismatched, floral bridesmaid dresses stood out, adding a unique sense of dimension to the chic soirée. Breck and Brendan said goodbye in true fashion with a fully decorated 1957 convertible Porsche.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES “Make sure you have a private moment with just your spouse on your wedding day. Lala + Christopher CANYON POINT Lala and Christopher were introduced to one another through a mutual friend while living in two different countries. After a year of dating, Christopher proposed to Lala in Oia, Greece, a small coastal village carved out of Santorini’s rocky cliffside and set against the indigo Aegean Sea. While taking in views at the end of the Caldera with their four year old daughter, Christopher presented two matching rings for both girls and asked Lala to marry him. A local Greek photographer captured the proposal. Lala and Christopher planned a modern, neutral toned elopement for August 22nd.

Elizabeth + Jacob S A LT L A K E C I T Y

It was a round of golf that sealed the fate for Elizabeth and Jacob. Jacob met Elizabeth’s brother on the golf course and after the 18th hole the two guys became quick pals. In turn, Elizabeth’s brother suggested that Jacob ask his sister out. At the time, Elizabeth was living in New York City, New York, so, the pair occasionally went on dates when she was home visiting. While back in Utah for winter break, Elizabeth and Jacob made their relationship official. The couple dated long distance as Elizabeth finished her last semester at New York University. Eight months later, in a true Hallmark moment, Jacob proposed in Central Park. With the help of Elizabeth’s roommate who is a stylist, a planned photoshoot was orchestrated at the beautiful cherry blossom trees near the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. As the camera shutter clicked, Elizabeth caught sight of a man wearing a suit and carrying a bouquet of flowers walking towards her. Jacob got down on one knee beneath the blanket of springy pink blooms and asked Elizabeth to marry him. Elizabeth and Jacob planned a Dutch Masters inspired wedding for August 27th.

ALL ABOUT FUN

For many brides, a wedding day is awash with white. From the crisp white dress to clean décor, a white monochromatic space is certainly a classic look. But for Elizabeth, she subtly and tastefully included bright colorful blooms into the day. “I loved how the flowers brought color to the venue while maintaining the ambiance of the country club.” The couple’s summer wedding was a continuation of fun and celebratory nature similar to their personalities. “Jake and I both love a good party so it was really important for us to have a big dance floor and fun band. The dance floor sat underneath the trees that were twinkling with lights and the band on a stage in front of spectacular views of the mountains we love,” says Elizabeth.

Diandra

+Danny

MOAB

In 2014, Danny’s work relocated him to San Antonio, Texas. At the time, his coworker and roommate was dating one of Diandra’s best friends, Taylor. Taylor insisted Diandra meet Danny before he moved to his next construction project. A double date was arranged at Cowboys Dancehall, a premier honky tonk experience, but when the girls arrived at Danny’s apartment an hour late dressed in athletic attire, the group decided to forgo a night on the town. Instead, they ended up having an at-home dance party right in the living room. Even though the date didn’t go according to plan, a relationship was soon underway. Four years later on a summer trip to Breckenridge, Colorado, Diandra and Danny embarked on a hike up Mount Sherman. Little did she know that Danny would get down on one knee and ask her to be his wife with a stunning 360 degree view of surrounding mountains. Diandra and Danny planned a desert elopement beneath Corona Arch for September 19th.

TRADITION OF BREWS

After they said “I do,” the newlyweds toasted to forever with a local IPA from Moab Brewery. “Cracking a beer on the summit after a hike has always been a tradition of ours! You better believe we upheld this tradition even at 10:00 in the morning after exchanging vows,” says Diandra.

RANCH ROMANCE Nestled in the picturesque paradise of the Wasatch Mountains sits Tag Ranch, an exquisitely appointed working ranch and luxury retreat offering adventure and rustic romance. Planner Meredith Parsons of Bluebird Event Destination Management drew inspiration from the property to create a raw, earthy and sophisticated atmosphere. The rugged landscape plays a part in every detail of the wedding, beginning with weathered wood benches and foraged foliage to a desert canvas teepee and a lived-in lounge setting. A bridal bouquet designed by Orchid Dynasty features shades of soft ivory, rich caramel and blushing pink paired with greenery and trailing grasses that feels a bit wild and untamed, synonymous with the terrain. As you walk down the aisle to an outdoor ceremony among rolling fields, you can hear the sound of horses galloping through the pasture. Now, your forever begins.
