MAKE IT OFFICIAL Marriage License application appointments are required for non-Summit County residents and cannot be scheduled earlier than three weeks prior to your desired application date. Summit County residents can be served between 9am and 4pm on a walk-in basis with a Summit County physical address on their Marriage License application. The cost of the License is $30 and couples will automatically be charged for three certified copies. You will need proper forms of identification and the filled out Marriage License application at the time of purchase. Sam + Colson Sam and Colson met on Tinder and decided to move in together at the start of the pandemic. One morning, Sam woke up to find Colson in the living room with coffee. He told her that she was skipping work for the day and to get ready for a trip. She packed her bags and they made their way to the airport for a trip to Denver. Sam hates surprises, so she already knew that Colson was going to propose, but she did not know where.

Sam and Colson landed in Denver and began driving to the mountains. The pair stopped in Breckenridge, went to a bookstore, ate lunch and walked through the town. Soon after, they drove to a nearby lake with spectacular views of the mountains. Colson got down on one knee and proposed on the shores of the lake while Katie Dawn Photo captured the special moment. Melissa & Brian Melissa and Brian grew up in Portland, Oregon and went to the same Hebrew school. Years later, after both had moved away from Portland, their moms rans into each other. As they were talking about their kids, they figured out that both Melissa and Brian were living in Denver. Brian was strongly encouraged to reach out to Melissa, and as they say, the rest is history. Three years later, Brian proposed in their new home after their furniture was delivered. He claimed he wanted to take a family picture, so even their cat, Simon, was captured in the moment with them.

Melissa and Brian chose to share private vows with Jewish elements at Blue Lakes before their ceremony. Melissa is a planner by nature, so she took care of most of the planning, but Brian gave his input in the areas he cared about. Working with Petal & Bean made the planning so easy with their extensive knowledge of Summit County. Rainstorms were in the forecast for Melissa and Brian’s July 25th wedding day, but they wouldn’t let that stop them from a ceremony with a view. Just before the clouds broke loose with rain, Melissa and Brian broke glass, kissed as husband and wife and their officiant, Melissa’s brother, ended the ceremony with a Yiddish saying-”When people plan, God laughs.”

Tyler + Adam Tyler and Adam met working at Chili’s together when Tyler was in college. They dated for six years before Adam proposed. He popped the question on a hike to Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. The breathtaking views and special moment shared between Tyler and Adam made the day incredibly special. They planned a romantic and whimsical elopement with just the two of them and their photographer, Lindsay Grace Photography, at Blue Lakes in Breckenridge on August 9th. They chose to have a Christ-centered ceremony including a moment for feet washing. This was a symbol for Tyler and Adam of being humble and willing to serve one another.

Kari + Abdul Kari and Abdul’s meeting was a Grey’s Anatomy scandal from the start. Not really, but they did both work at the same hospital and were introduced by mutual friends. They dated for three years before Kari got a rock in the Rockies. The pair went hiking in Estes Park right after they moved to Colorado. Kari should have known something was up when Abdul spent 30 minutes talking to the park ranger about the perfect hiking spot. They made their way to Mills Lake where Abdul would get down on one knee and propose in a secluded area away from other hikers ensuring the moment was memorable and intimate. They chose to elope with an intimate ceremony at Boreas Pass surrounded by 17 of their closest friends and family. The day was classic and casual, however, Kari and Abdul were grateful to celebrate in the midst of the pandemic with their families. After they exchanged their vows, they celebrated with a reception at a local Airbnb with catered food from a local restaurant, Ridge Street Kitchen.

Kylie & Mitchell Kylie and Mitchell met in high school because conveniently Kylie’s best friend happened to have a twin brother, Mitchell. Four years after the two started dating the couple went on a wintertime snowshoeing and hiking adventure to Colorado’s Mount Falcon. It was there that Mitchell proposed and they started planning their intimate snow-covered elopement for December 17th.
