SUMMARY Ilie ROTUNJANU, Daniel ANTONIE, Viorel VOIN Consideraţii asupra caracteristicilor geotehnice ale rocilor din coperta carierelor din Oltenia în funcţie de adâncimea acestora şi influenţa lor asupra elementelor geometrice ale taluzurilor Considerations on The Geotechnical Characteristics of The Overlying Rocks in The Quarries of Oltenia According to Their Depth and Their Influence on The Geometrical Elements of Slopes The dependence of slopes geometry of in open - cast mining on the physical and mechanical characteristics of the overlying rocks in quarries calls for the careful study of the latter and the assessment of their variations. The aim of this paper is to analyze the influence of geological formations depth on the rocks strength and to establish the geometrical elements of slopes according to the geomechanical characteristics of the main rock types for the quarries in Oltenia.

It is a difficult job to design an efficient suction system because several parameters should be known. Each suction hole shale be designed so that it doesn’t allow a recycling of toxic and/or explosive gases, but nit catches coarse particles that night clag up even ventilation pipes.

Waste water from U.P.Coroesti washing technological process has a lot of argillaceous colloidal substances and is recalcitrant in cleaning. There by, in order to increase the sedimentation speed there are used certain clearing reactive. The purpose of this study is to replace Zetag reactive - with coagulation role, used in present time at Coroesti processing plant, with electro coagulation in continuous electric field with consumable anode.

Using the analysis with finite elements, we can find constructive solutions for the increasing technical performances of belt conveyors from lignite quarries.
