Todos os MIs permaneceram firmes ao longo do tratamento. Após o tratamento, eles foram removidos sem anestesia. No entanto, o MI posterossuperior direito instalado na área da tuberosidade maxilar havia se curvado gradualmente durante o tratamento e fraturou durante a remoção após o tratamento. O MI fraturado foi deixado em sua posição com o consentimento da paciente (Fig. 12). Exames complementares serão necessários para prevenir quaisquer condições patológicas. O fragmento de parafuso incorporado no osso cortical pode ser removido cirurgicamente: faz-se um rebatimento do retalho total, remove-se o osso em torno do MI

CONCLUSÕES Mini-implantes podem simplificar o plano de tratamento e fornecer ancoragem absoluta para o movimento distal em grupo dos dentes, bem como para a retração máxima dos dentes anteriores em tratamentos de Classe II com biprotrusão alveolar por meio de extrações atípicas de segundo molar superior.
