The late day sun was shining brightly as I hit the homestretch of leisurely jog along the Los Penasquitos Canyon at The Grand Del Mar resort, located about a half hour north of downtown San Diego. I’d already conquered the steep uphill sections of the four-mile trail and was now headed downhill, surrounded by a few errant lizards. The view from this stretch of the trail was truly grand. Rolling wildlife made for an exhilarating way to end my run as I approached the main entrance to the resort.
