South Branch

2014 Sponsorship Package

Reining Alberta & the South Branch Reining Alberta is a not-for-profit organization established in 1993 (Non Profit Society #506897065) its mandate is to promote, develop, and enhance the sport of reining in Alberta. The National Reining Horse Association describes Reining as a “judged event designed to show the athletic ability of a ranch type horse within the confines of an arena…each pattern includes small slow circles, large fast circles, flying lead changes, rollbacks over the hocks, 360 degree spins done in place, and exciting sliding stops that are the hallmark of the reining horse. If you would like to watch a video to see what Reining is all about please click here. Reining Alberta has over 500 members throughout western Canada, with a vast majority living in Alberta. The Association offers three major Classic shows during the year which attract participants from across western Canada and the northern United States; and pay out in excess of $95,000 in winnings. In addition to the Classic shows the Association also promotes the sport at a grass roots level through its three regional branch’s. The South Branch has over 200 members with a majority living within commuting distance to Calgary. It roughly covers the Red Deer area and south to the Alberta and US boarder. In 2014 the South Branch will be hosting six Branch Shows, with a focus on encouraging beginner and youth riders. In addition to the shows we will be hosting two clinics to continue to provide a venue for members to obtain new knowledge and skills, as well as to attract and introduce new people to the sport. Four of the shows will be held at Prairie Mountain Ranch near Crossfield, and two will be held at Silver Slate Arena near Nanton. We would like to ask for your consideration in donating to our Branch. We are looking for donations in cash, product, or service that will serve to enhance our current prize offering, and also support the growth of some new awards. Our goal is to create an even stronger member base, and encourage increased participation and interest in the Branch through a greater variety of classes that encourage beginner Reiners. Please see the attached list of classes and sponsorship levels. Sponsorship of the Branch shows or the clinic is a great opportunity for the targeted marketing of your business or company, and provides a great return in exposure for sponsorship dollars.

If you are interested in sponsoring our Branch please feel free to contact us for further discussion or information. Thank you for your consideration, Megan Ritchie Reining Alberta South Branch Chairperson (403) 889-6300 m.ritchie@msn.com
