The Rise of the Tiger! Elma Bartholomew BMMI is set to launch Singapore’s premium beer on the island. This isn’t just a promotion, mind you? They’re going all out with a huge event. Party-goers in the country should know by now that if BMMI backs up an event, it’s going to be grand. Imagine an occasion where the retailers themselves are hosting a whole festival, albeit to launch a premium beverage from Singapore — Tiger Beer. The drink is only the tip of the iceberg. When they do something, they do it big. It’s no surprise that the event on June 13 is the biggest this month in the nightlife scene. To unveil the introduction of the beverage to the Kingdom, they have called upon the region’s top DJs, live musicians, beat boxers and dance crews. Giving the event an artistic flair is the collaboration with top artists. How often do you get to see installations, graffiti and body art in a party house? BMMI is keeping it urban and cool this month. Headlining the show is Dubai’s own DJ Marko Smokingroove. That’s right; they’ve reeled in the long-term resident of the award-winning Nasimi Beach Club to pump up the energy. Not only does he soundtrack the hottest party destination in the Middle East, he helped discover and launch the venue in 2009, curating the monthly Full Moon parties which saw record attendances well into their thousands. Joining him is Attala, a Lebanese/Egyptian music producer, composer, song writer, MC and founder of cigAwet Productions, which BMMI is associating with for the event. You can dance to the beats of DJs Mysterioo, Detour and Sami Dee as well on this action-packed night. The line-up should make it obvious that all kinds of house will create a unique vibe. It isn’t just about the magic behind the turntable. May Alqasim throws her enchanting voice to show us what she’s made of. Mellow X (Ahmed ‘Eddie’ Ayoob) throws fire to the mix. If you couldn’t get enough of the b-boy contest last month, catch the Street Star crew bust some unbelievable moves. From the other end of the spectrum rises Ballare’s dance crew. The state-of-the-art studio proves that even they’ve got what it takes to conquer a dance floor. On the art front, BMMI host two amazing people, who can be categorised as dreamers. Bahraini artist, Asia Fuse, who also goes by the name of Aysha Almoayyed makes an appearance. It only seems natural that Fawaz AlOlaiwat, aka FawazO, joins the party given his mastery in the field of art and music. The progressive artist is sure to put on a show on June 13.
