FROM THE PULPIT By Pastor Yomi OBADIMEJI

C

OVENANT is how God has chosen to communicate to us, to redeem us, and to guarantee us eternal life in Jesus. These truths, revealed in the Bible, are the basis of Christianity. The Bible is a covenant document. The Old and New Testaments are really Old and New Covenants. The word “testament” is Latin for Covenant. The Biblical Covenant am talking about today is the Covenant of Prosperity. Deuteronomy 8:18 - “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. I have discovered through personal encounter, study, research and understanding of biblical principles that the power to get wealth is a direct function of the covenant. When you enter into the covenant of prosperity everything automatically begins to walk in your Favour. Prosperity is not a function of binding and loosening, neither fasting nor praying. It is a Covenant you practice. What is a Covenant? Covenant is a binding agreement between two or more people which leaves each of them with a responsibility. Anytime a covenant is made, a binding agreement is enforced. Take for instance my wife became my wife the day we wedded, marriage covenant was enacted that day. Now my wife cannot be fasting and praying to be my wife because she is already my wife. Likewise when you enter into a covenant of riches you do not need to fast and pray for prosperity you just walk in the covenant. Your location has nothing to do with your prosperity, Isaac was in the land of Gerar where there was tough famine, everyone was living in hardship but in the same land Isaac had more than enough, He was extremely rich. Genesis 26:1 - There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. Genesis 26:12-14 - Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him. Isaac was walking in the covenant of wealth so economy had no effect on him as the economy was getting tougher he was getting richer without fasting and praying or binding and loosing, he had something that others did not have. Covenant is superior to location or connection, when covenant of prosperity is enacted financial destiny is guaranteed. Psalms 89:34 - My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips. The reason many are struggling today is because they have not entered into the covenant of prosperity, when you locate the covenant and enter into it, you are automatically out of stress for life. Abraham walk in the covenant, he was exceedingly rich, he commanded riches in all spheres, he became a fig that cannot be despised. Genesis 13:2 - Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. Jacob walked also in the covenant during economic crunch, he had more than enough. During famine he had great access to money, he asked his children to go with double money that could afford them to buy food from a foreign country. Genesis 43:1 - Joseph’s Brothers Return with Benjamin Now the famine was severe in the land. Genesis 43:12 - Take double money in your hand, and take back in your hand the money that was returned in the mouth of your sacks; perhaps it was an oversight. Children of God, covenant is greater than anything, all you need is to be connected to the covenant of riches and your life will take a new turn. No famine or economic crunch can stop you when you are connected to the covenant. I Opening part of a message delivered by Pastor Yomi OBADIMEJI on May 25th 2014. CONGREGATIONAL HYMN

STAND UP, STAND UP, FOR JESUS Stand up, stand up, for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross; lift high his royal banner, it must not suffer loss: from victory unto victory his army shall he lead, till every foe is vanquished and Christ is Lord indeed. Stand up, stand up, for Jesus; the trumpet call obey; forth to the mighty conflict in this his glorious day: ye that are men now serve him against unnumbered foes; let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose. Stand up, stand up, for Jesus; stand in his strength alone; the arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own: put on the Gospel armor, and watching unto prayer, when duty calls, or danger, be never wanting there. Stand up, stand up, for Jesus; the strife will not be long: this day, the noise of battle; the next, the victor's song. To him that overcometh a crown of life shall be; he with the King of glory shall reign eternally. RCCG EFA JUNE THEME - UNCOMMON VISION

ISION can be defined as the faculty or state of been able to see. It could also be the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom. The inability to see is one of the greatest impairments a man can face. I personally believe that ability to see is superior to that of hearing or speaking. For example, one will be able to make a better judgement about what one is seeing than what one is hearing. Uncommon vision however is the power to see beyond the ordinary. It is the ability to see or visualise that which the normal eyes could not see. This comes with an advantage, as one will have a prior knowledge of things before they occur In contemporary warfare, a soldier that wore a night goggle will have a better vision of objects than the one that didn't. There are several people in the scriptures that God blessed with uncommon vision. One of them is Elisha. Elisha could see beyond the normal eyesight. He was able to demonstrate this severally: Whenever the Syrian Armies tried to lay ambush for the Israelites, Elisha would warn the king of Israel, and the ambush would be unsuccessful. So the king of Syria thought it would be easier to deal with Israel if Elisha was out of the picture. Soldiers were sent to Dothan to arrest or kill Elisha. Though, Elisha had not come out to see the day, but he already knew in his bedroom that soldiers of Syria had surrounded his domain, and more importantly, that the hosts of Heaven were protecting him. His servant that came out first could only see the physical enemies. Elisha had to pray to God so that the boy could also see their supernatural marines bodyguards (lI Kings 6:8-17). This month of June and beyond, God will grant us uncommon vision to consolidate our faith in Him; to assure us that He is on our side; and to boost our courage to serve Him. He will also bless us with the ability to think effectively and to plan our future with great imagination and wisdom that are not common to man. He will also blindfold any 'Syrian' that is monitoring our movements in Jesus name. Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

RCCG EFA LEEDS 2014 PROPHECY.THEME: OUR YEAR OF NEW BEGINNING Exodus 12:2

A

s 2013 was running to an end. I began to ask God what He will do for us in the year 2014. Few weeks ago, God impressed it on my heart that He is making us to enter into an era of New Beginnings. He said, He will fulfil our time in the year 2014. Our time will be 8 years in 2014, 8 been a number of new beginning. God said, ‘Though I have taken you to a time of completion at 7 years, yet I’m ready to start work on you afresh’. In Gen. 1:1-4, prior to the beginning, God made the heaven and the earth. God reside in heaven, but the earth was without form and void, and also dark. At a later stage, God decided He wanted to make a new beginning with the earth and He began with light and other things, until He could confirm that the earth was equally good. God recently told me that what He intends for Everlasting Father’s Assembly to become is not yet revealed.’I am about to begin anew with you’, He said. ‘I will take you back to Genesis i.e Creation and re-make you’. He said, He will make us into a more impressive form, shape and brilliance.’I will also introduce a new kind of light into you to make your difference from before very obvious’. He said. Do you know that Manufacturers remake their products mainly for two reasons? (1) They identified a fault or error in the system after usage. (2) They just desire to make something nicer; more current or a newer model. God said regarding Everlasting Father’s Assembly, He will repair every faults within our system in 2014. He has also desire to make us into something more glorious. When we started in 2006, we were like something without form and shape, it looks like few people joking. Thank God for then and glory be to God for now. Today, God says, ‘I will start you again in your 8th year’. He said, He will take us back to the things we enjoyed in our first start and then make us to experience even more. God then gave me our anchor scripture as: Exodus 12:2 -This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. The daylight of 1st January shall be the beginning of months and years to us; it shall also be the first month of 2014. Everything that has happened to us before now are just occurrences before our real beginning. He said your enjoyment up till now is just like a test drive. You will now begin to move about confidently and comfortably. Hear again the promise from God to us for 2014. Revelation 21:5-6 -And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

SERMON FROM ARCHIVE NEW HERE TODAY?

The Struggles of Man: 5 Lessons To Learn By Minister Gabriel Adunmade LESSON 1 HE struggle of man began in the Garden of Eden, after man disobeyed God and God pronounced judgement on man following the sin of disobedience. Genesis 3:19 – In the sweat of thy face shall thou eat bread, till thou return in to the ground for out of it was thou taken, for dust thou art, and into dust shall thou return. It was not so in the beginning. Genesis 2:16 – And the Lord God command the man, saying of every tree of the garden, thou may freely eat. Jesus Christ picked most of His disciples where they were struggling for daily living to make both ends meet. In fact in the Old Testament, all the people God used were working either in the farm tilling ground, or in the field rearing animal. Moses was looking after his father in law (Jethro) cattle, David was looking after his father’s sheep; Saul was searching for his father’s lost Donkey. Elisha son of Shaphat was ploughing ground when Elijah found him. Jesus Christ does not condone laziness, He cherish hard working people. As a matter of fact, who ever want to be His disciple must be hard working. However, each time Peter, John and James feature in the bible (of cause before they received power) in connection with their profession (fishing) it was always with struggling. For instance, in Luke 5: 4-6, They fished all night without catching any fish. Yet at each point, miracle and wonders happened in their lives. (As it will happen in the life of some one here today). Why did it happen? Simple obedience without questioning, reasoning or arguing. After the death of Jesus Christ, why did they go back fishing even when they have been told they will be fishers of men? That is what usually happen when boredom replaces zeal. Sometimes God allows us to struggle in order to teach us that – planning, budgeting, figuring things out, our skills can fail us, our expertee, many degrees, our exposures, best practices can still fail us. It can only be solve by one way Ecl 9; 11. NLT. If you don’t believe fastest runner does not always win the race- go and ask Elijah and King Ahab. If you doubt strongest doesn’t always win the battle, go and ask David and Goliath. If you are not sure the skilful people are not necessarily wealthy, go and ask Obededom – who became the richest man in the city with in a space of three months without toiling or struggling. This not to say that it is not good or needful to plan, budget, work hard or be skilful- BUT ALWAYS GIVE GOD PRIORITY IN ALL WHAT YOU DO. Lesson 2 Proverb 23:4 NLT. Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich, be wise enough to know when to quit.
