My Presence Shall Go With Thee and I Will Give Thee Rest Text: Exodus 33: 1-23

HE Theme of the month of August is Jehovah's manifest presence as spoken by God through His prophet. I perceive in my spirit that Jehovah is saying to someone here today 'My presence shall go with thee, you are about to embark on a journey (the journey as it were may not necessarily mean travelling from one point to another like from Leeds to United States, but it might be starting a new business, getting married, going back to school, whatever that journey might denote for you, Jehovah is saying to you today, ‘do not be afraid for My manifest presence shall go with thee’. The Bible makes us to understand that God said to Moses in verse 2 of the text, “I will send an angel before thee as you go to possess the land that is flowing with milk and honey that I promised you and the children of Israel”. But we thank God for the wisdom of God upon Moses for he had an understanding of the ways of God (the children of Israel were conversant with the acts of God, the miracles, the manna, the parting of the Red Sea, the drowning of their enemies & the meat). May The Lord make His ways known to you and I, so that we know how to please Him at all times. This was a man like you and I (a mere mortal) yet he communed with God mouth to mouth (for the Bible says God Himself said 'if there be other prophets He speaks to them in dreams and visions but with Moses He spoke mouth to mouth as a friend would speak with his friend). May The Lord God Almighty speak to you and I as a Friend in Jesus name. He said the same of Abraham His friend in Gen 18:17, 'And The Lord said, shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do. The Bible made us to understand that Moses refused that an angel should go before them rather he insisted that if he had found favour & grace in the sight of God, then God should be the one to lead them, as he rightly said in verse 15-16 (New Living

Jehovah’s Manifest Presence
EHOVAH is one of the self-declared, choicest names of God (Ex. 6:3). It means: The Almighty; Most Sovereign; Creator; Possessor of all; The Man of war; etc. Manifest is defined as evident; obvious; plain; or apparent. While presence is defined as to be in attendance or show appearance. Throughout ages, Jehovah always demonstrates His obvious appearance whenever it is very necessary for Him to do so. Like when He came down to disperse the people at the Tower of Babel (Gen. 11:1-8), as well as to put an end to the maltreatment of the Israelites by the Egyptians (Ex. 3:7-8). In Gen. 28:10-22, Jacob ran away from Canaan to Haran (Turkey) because of his brother Esau. He travelled through the desert in terrible condition: on foot, no change of cloth, harsh climate and bad terrain. One night, as he approached a city called Luz, the sun set and he had to sleep out of town on sand with a stone as a pillow. That night, he had a dream, he saw a ladder from heaven touching the earth. Angels were ascending and descending the ladder, and God was speaking from the topmost of the ladder. When he woke up, he exclaimed "God was in this place and I knew it not!" He then worshipped God and made a vow unto God. Though Jacob was in a hostile terrain, alienated from loved ones, destitute and unsure of his destiny. God encouraged him with His manifest presence and the transfer of Abrahamic covenant upon his life. In this month of August and beyond, regardless of the terrain we tread and the prevailing situations we encounter, God said He will demonstrate His obvious presence among us. He will give us this Land; He will multiply our offspring; He will make us to spread to the four corners of the world; He will bless the nations of the world through us; He will keep us wherever we go; He will make us to be rooted in our Canaan and He will not leave us until He has fulfilled all His promises concerning us. Translation) 'Then Moses said if you don't personally go with us, don't make us leave this place. How will anyone know that you look favourably on me and your people, if you don't go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth'. So Brethren it is the Presence of God that we carry as His children that sets us apart from the world, that is what makes you and I different, unique and special. It is the DNA of Jehovah in us that makes us a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar people called out of darkness into His marvellous light to show forth His praise. And God Himself answered and said “My presence shall go with you and I will give thee rest”. Brethren it is only Jehovah The God of heaven and earth, The Almighty One that sits in Heaven and doeth as He pleases, the Holy One that rules in the affairs of men, He is the only one that sends a man on an errand and goes with him. Moses knew that without the manifest presence of Jehovah they were doomed, their enemies would have triumphed over them. What does the manifest presence of Jehovah bring: Just like when an earthly Father travels and does not come home empty handed, rather he comes home bearing gifts, the Bible says God has not called us to seek Him in vain. 1) Favour: the presence of God in a man's life comes with His favour. THE RCCG (EVERLASTING FATHER’S ASSEMBLY) 2013 PROPHECY. THEME: OUR YEAR OF GOD’S REST Isaiah 65: 21-24, Isaiah 14:1-4

WAS meditating recently to find out from God what will be our theme for 2013. There were certain challenges I saw in 2012 that I was asking God to completely eradicate in the next. God answered and said, "All covenanted ministries (whether individual or church) will hit major storm in their 3rd year. If the ministry escapes that by grace, a greater storm will come against it in its 6th year. If the ministry equally escapes the double storm, it will then qualify for the blessings of the 7th year”. For us in Everlasting Father's Assembly, there were storms that we went through at three years. To the glory of God, we escape them all. Also at six years, thank God for all the astounding accomplishments that we have enjoyed, we also escaped double storms. Glory be to God!

Year of Signs & Wonders FOR INDIVIDUALS: 1. No matter the darkness around you, your star will shine brighter. 2. God says, He will speak peace to your storms 3. Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow. 4. In many senses of the word, this year will be of completeness. FOR NIGERIA: 1. The prayers of some of you minimized death of prominent Nigerians last year, don’t stop praying. 2. Before the middle of the year, many will say hope rising. 3. Learn from disasters of 2012 and take precaution soonest to avert bigger ones.. INTERNATIONAL: 1. The Lord says prominent world leaders need a lot prayers so as not to die in office. 2. Prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals. 3. Weather conditions may get worse, much worst, unless prayers are intensified. 4. We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year. 5. So I asked God, since we have escaped the sixth year, what is the blessing of the seventh year? He took me back to the creation of the world. He said, ‘What did the bible says I did on the seventh day’? And I said that You rested from Your labours. So, God said "2013 is your year of My rest". Note that it is the God's rest, not our kind of rest. The bible says that God does not sleep nor slumber (Ps. 121:4). So it's not a rest of sleep. Neither is it of folding of hands. It is a rest from excessive labours and entering into excessive favours. The seventh day was a time when God stopped creating on this earth, but switched to watching over what He has created. In 2013, God will help us to look after what He has created for us and through us. We will supervise and oversee machinery that will run itself. Every system that God has helped us to create will begin to work for us. Grace will supersede haste. There was a time when the Israelites were fighting Canaan, the Israelites were outnumbered. So God began to use constellations to fight for them (Judges 5:20). God will assign hosts of heaven to work for us in 2013 By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

May God Appear To You As Jehovah

N Ex. 6:3, God Himself declared that His name is Jehovah - meaning The Great Redeemer. I recently read that some theologians disagreed that Jehovah is a name of God. They said that God's name is simply Yahweh. Stating that in old Hebrew writing, there were no vowels, so that God's name was writing as YHWH. They claimed that it was only about 500 years ago that people mistakenly translated YHWH to JEHOVAH. I disagree with such scholars. I believe that God's names are in-exhaustive: Yahweh, Adonai, Jehovah been part of them. Like a wise writer said that if it’s true that God's name is not Jehovah until 500 years ago, how come the ancient Hebrews named themselves with names stating with prefix of Jeho-? We will review few of such names and use them to declare God's goodness and mercies upon our lives: 1 Chronicles 8:36 - Jehoaddah. Ahaz fathered Jehoaddah, and Jehoaddah fathered Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri fathered Moza. - Jehovah adorns. May God adorn your destiny with beauty and honour. 2 Kings 14:2 - Jehoaddin. He was twenty- five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty- nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jehoaddin of Jerusalem. - Jehovah is beauteous. May God do His marvellous works in you. 2 Kings 10:35 - Jehoahaz. So Jehu slept with his fathers, and they buried him in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son reigned in his place. - Jehovah upholds. May God upholds you throughout life in Jesus name. 2 Kings 11:21 - Jehoash Jehoash was seven years old when he began to reign. - Jehovah supports. May God supports you till the end of life in Jesus name. 1 Chronicles 26:3 - Jehohanan Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh. - Jehovah is gracious. May God shower you with abundant measure of His grace in Jesus name. Ezekiel 1:2 - Jehoiachin On the fifth day of the month (it was the fifth year of the exile of King Jehoiachin), - Jehovah establishes. May God establish your home, family and all that concerns you in Jesus name. 2 Samuel 8:18 - Jehoiada and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and David's sons were priests. - Jehovah knows. God knows all you are going through. He will grant you victory in Jesus name. 2 Kings 23:34 - Jehoiakim And Pharaoh Neco made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the place of Josiah his father, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. But he took Jehoahaz away, and he came to Egypt and died there. - Jehovah sets up. May God put you in the place of honour in Jesus name. 1 Chronicles 9:10 - Jehoiarib Of the priests:Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, Jachin, - Jehovah pleads. May God plead your cause. 2 Kings 10:15 - Jehonadab And when he departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. And he greeted him and said to him, “Is your heart true to my heart as mine is to yours?” And Jehonadab answered, “It is.” Jehu said, “If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand. And Jehu took him up with him into the chariot. - Jehovah is liberal. May God be kind to you always. 2 Chronicles 22:11 - Jehoshabeath But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the king's sons who were about to be put to death, and she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Thus Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram and wife of Jehoiada the priest, because she was a sister of Ahaziah, hid him from Athaliah, so that she did not put him to death.
