See, I Have Given Into Your Hands Jericho City Josh 6:2 By Pastor Samuel OBAFAIYE
A
ND the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.God told Abraham to go out of his father's house, kindred and nation and proceed to a place which He would show him, a place that flows with milk and honey. God then brought Abraham to Canaan which was the Promised Land. Later on, God spoke to Abraham and said in the future his descendants will be taken into captivity for about 400 years, and then he will bring them back to the Canaan land. Genesis 15:13 - And God said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; So, at a time in history, God raised up Moses to lead the Israelites back to their Promised Land. Sadly, because of their unbelief and murmuring against God, the journey of 40 days became 40 years. Everyone that was above 20 years of age when they left Egypt died before they entered into the Promised Land, except for Joshua and Caleb. Even Moses was provoked by the people to error and as such did not enter the Promised Land. Joshua continued where Moses stopped until they got to the bank of Jordan River. Here God performed a miracle as the river parted and the people went on dry ground. The Israelites thought their problems were over until they discover they had to pass through Jericho to possess their inheritance. - There is someone here, you thought going into 2013 was your greatest challenge, but you just discovered there is a wall of Jericho before you. God says, those walls will crumble. - In January 2014, you declared enjoyment at last, after moving forward, and then the Jericho walls emerged. Those walls will be levelled by God. What is the city of Jericho? - It is believed to be one of the oldest cities in the world. May be the challenge you just discovered is a long term problem. Today, God will deal with it. Perhaps yours is not a long term one, but deeply rooted. Again, God will visit its foundation today. - Jericho was described in the bible as a city of Palm trees. Its 258m below sea level and therefore has oases which favoured human habitation. It is a strategic place. - Palm tree is a precious resource. Oases are equally precious in deserts. May God deliver into your hands every precious thing He has promised you. - Jericho was a highly defended city. It has high walls which are 15 feet wide apart, with soldiers watching over it. It does not matter how defended the Jericho before you is, or who are watching over it, it shall still crumble in Jesus name. IDING is defined as a report of recent events or facts not previously known. While victory is the success or superior position achieved against any opponent; opposition; difficulty; obstacle or problem. The Israelites were on the journey to the Promised Land when they encountered the Amorites on the way. Sihon, king of Heshbon refused to let the Israelites pass through their land, instead he gathered his soldiers and fought against the Israelites (Num. 21: 23-24). God however delivered Sihon and his people into Moses and the Israelites hands. As the Israelites continued on the journey, they also encountered another Amorite king, Og king of Bashan. Similarly, Og and his people went out to battle with the Israelites, again God gave Israelites the victory (Deut. 3: 18). The Amorites were seasoned warriors, with giants among them. The Israelites who were physically disadvantaged were supernaturally empowered by God to be victorious. Under Moses, they enjoyed tidings of victories throughout! In this month of April, which coincides with the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, God says He will fill our mouth and lives with tidings of victories; He will subdue any opposition before us; He will grant us success over every difficulty and problems; He will empower us to surmount any kind of obstacle and also make us to triumph over life challenges. s 2013 was running to an end. I began to ask God what He will do for us in the year 2014. Few weeks ago, God impressed it on my heart that He is making us to enter into an era of New Beginnings. He said, He will fulfil our time in the year 2014. Our time will be 8 years in 2014, 8 been a number of new beginning. God said, ‘Though I have taken you to a time of completion at 7 years, yet I’m ready to start work on you afresh’. In Gen. 1:1-4, prior to the beginning, God made the heaven and the earth. God reside in heaven, but the earth was without form and void, and also dark. At a later stage, God decided He wanted to make a new beginning with the earth and He began with light and other things, until He could confirm that the earth was equally good. God recently told me that what He intends for Everlasting Father’s Assembly to become is not yet revealed.’I am about to begin anew with you’, He said. ‘I will take you back to Genesis i.e Creation and re-make you’. He said, He will make us into a more impressive form, shape and brilliance.’I will also introduce a new kind of light into you to make your difference from before very obvious’. He said. Do you know that Manufacturers remake their products mainly for two reasons? (1) They identified a fault or error in the system after usage. (2) They just desire to make something nicer; more current or a newer model. God said regarding Everlasting Father’s Assembly, He will repair every faults within our system in 2014. He has also desire to make us into something more glorious. When we started in 2006, we were like something without form and shape, it looks like few people joking. Thank God for then and glory be to God for now. Today, God says, ‘I will start you again in your 8th year’. He said, He will take us back to the things we enjoyed in our first start and then make us to experience even more. God then gave me our anchor scripture as: Exodus 12:2 -This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. The daylight of 1st January shall be the beginning of months and years to us; it shall also be the first month of 2014. Everything that has happened to us before now are just occurrences before our real beginning. He said your enjoyment up till now is just like a test drive. You will now begin to move about confidently and comfortably. Hear again the promise from God to us for 2014. Revelation 21:5-6 -And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. N this month of high and lifted up, the Lord will pull you out of dungeon in Jesus name, and, He will be your helper in Jesus name. To be high and lifted up means, to go from a lower level to a very higher position, to move to an unimaginable height and to break all records of lift. In spiritual terms, the lifting up of our Lord Jesus Christ broke all records and principles of lifts. He became elevated above all heights. He made the heavens His home, and the whole earth became His footstool. Brethren, have you ever thought in your heart how a particular thing would be possible? The message for you is that, you need to wait upon Him, look unto Him, lift up your heads unto Him and He will look down unto you from the heavenly throne, and he will promote you in Jesus name. So, if you have been having sleepless nights because of your academic or job, the Lord is encouraging you to lift up your eyes and head unto Him and He will do you well. It is very possible to go to bed being a poor man, and, to wake up and find that you have suddenly become blessed and rich. Our God is a God of possibility. He makes things to happen in His own time; how He does it, is nobody’s business. I 6:30PM - 8:30PM pray that your situation will change for the better SATURDAYS within the next twenty four hours in Jesus name. 2 Kings 7:3-8 now there were four men with leprosy at EVANGELISM (4th Saturday) the entrance of the city gate.
