Introductio n

SAUDIA, also known as Saudi Arabian Airlines, took off in 1945 with a single twin-engine aircraft that was a gift from US President Franklin D. Roosevelt to King Abdul Aziz. A few months later, two more aircraft were purchased and a few years later he formed the core of what would become one of the world’s largest airlines.

SAUDIA is the national airline of Saudi Arabia and operates from a main base at King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED). The company also has hubs at Riyadh King Khalid International Airport (RUH) and Dammam King Fahd International Airport (DMM). It is a member of the Arab Air Transport Association and SkyTeam. SAUDIA has also received numerous awards in the aviation industry, including the Silver MENA Travel Award, Yahoo Middle East Online Award for Best Regional Online Marketing, Lufthansa Quality Cube Award, Royal Brunei Airlines Silver Plate for On-Time Performance, and Inflight Service Magazine Diamond Award.

Before delivering the luggage to the check-in desk, all flights that originate in Riyadh and have a destination in the United States must be securely wrapped in safe wrap. Infants are only permitted 23 kg of free check-in baggage, and further luggage is not permitted. A bag’s combined length, breadth, and height must not exceed 158 cm.
