HISTORICAL RECREATIONS On the 27th, 28th and 29th August 2010 there was a historic recreation in Almeida commemorating the Bicentennial of his defense. Historically, from that moment the Siege would begin, whose preparations delayed the attack of the besiegers until the 26 of August of 1810 with an important force of Artillery. A determining factor was the fact that two projectiles fell precisely in the city's powder magazine causing a huge explosion. Three days later capitulation would take place.
