Zangersheide “the place to be” Elk jaar in september is het Belgische Lanaken (vlakbij Maastricht) voor de internationale hippische wereld “the place to be”. Dan verzamelt de aanstormende generatie jonge paarden zich in Domein Zangersheide om te strijden voor de titel Wereldkampioen tijdens de ‘FEI/WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses’, een WK voor vijf-, zesen zevenjarige paarden. Gelijktijdig met het WK vindt een exclusieve competitie plaats voor hengsten, de “Sires of the World”, de Zangersheide hengstenkeuring, de Zangersheide Quality Veilingen en vindt ook het Belgisch Kampioenschap Jumping voor Senioren plaats. Sport, fokkerij en handel gaan hand in hand tijdens dit vierdaagse wereldevenement onder het toeziend oog van Beschermheer Ingmar De Vos, President FEI.
Every year in September the kick-off takes place of the final of the finals. Then the FEI/WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses take place at Zangersheide in Lanaken - the Belgian border town next to Maastricht. This is where the oncoming generation of young horses annually meets at Domain Zangersheide for their World Championships. A WC for 5-, 6- and 7-yr-old top-class jumping horses. At the same time the exclusive and reputable competition for licensed stallions takes place, the “Sires of the World”, in addition to the stallion selection, the Zangersheide Quality Auctions and the Belgian Jumping Championship. Sport, breeding and commerce go hand in hand during this four day event in Lanaken under the patronage of Mr. Ingmar De Vos, President of the FEI.
