Water Cooling Tower Evaporation Credit Service Context: Your facilities that operate cooling towers are evaporating money. Our Evaporation Credit Service will save you money each and every month. While you probably know that a cooling tower is designed to evaporate water, you may not know the true cost of operation. When you purchase water for the cooling tower you are also charged for sewage at that time. Even though a portion of the water evaporates, and is not returned as sewage, you still pay as if it did return as sewage. National sewage cost per 1,000 gallons average 1.5 to 2 times greater than the amount paid for makeup water. Normally 70 to 80% of the water sent to the cooling tower evaporates, and is eligible for this credit program. Many cooling tower owners have in the past completed the necessary monitoring and reporting for a period of time, only to see the routine fall through the cracks. Allow us to assume the hassle of managing your evaporation credit program. We have the technology and experience to handle matters efficiently, professionally and affordably. Monitoring & Reporting: princetongreen.org has developed a program for you to begin receiving evaporation credits on your water/sewer bill. For an initial program fee, we will install the approved monitoring equipment, commission the system, begin monitoring evaporation, submit the supporting data to the water company for you to receive the credit, and reconcile on the next months’ bill to ensure the credit was received. We share in these savings at a higher % for the first year to recoup our equipment, installation and commissioning costs, after which you receive a greater portion of the savings in subsequent years. princetongreen.org will continue reporting, auditing bills and maintaining the equipment for a portion of the shared savings, making it easy for you to save money month after month. Leak Detection: princetongreen.org’s technology will identify when a leak or overflow is occuring. For example, many times the float valve will get stuck in the open position, wasting water and money. Our system provides you with protection since you will automatically and instantly be notified of such an occurrence.

* NOTE: Each program fee is per water meter, and includes one cooling tower on one water meter. Multiple coolings towers on one water meter requires additional equipment and labor. Therefore, customized program fees will be determined based on your specific cooling tower layout. Program fees do NOT include municipal fees, including the cost of water meters and installation, application fees, participation fees, and permits. Prior to deciding, we can analyze your cooling tower(s) and current 12 months of water bills in order to estimate the average monthly credit (+/- 10%).
