Kendo Literally called “the Way of the Sword,” this is the modern sport of Japanese fencing based on traditional Kenjutsu “sword fighting.” See Sports in Youth Section. Pickleball

Pickleball is a racquet sport that has been heralded as “the fastest growing sport in the country.” It is like tennis— but different. Like racquet ball—but different. The ball is like a whiffle ball— but different. The court is like tennis—but smaller. We use a paddle—but this is not paddle tennis. The net is 2” shorter than a tennis net. Pickleball is fun, very social, and you get an excellent workout with less stress on the joints than the game of tennis. The instructor, Jack Hodges, an avid tennis player and tennis instructor, discovered the advantages of Pickleball after retiring from coaching baseball. Jack has equipment for you to use so you can try the sport—so drop in anytime. Contact Jack at 1-949-5472251 for details or go to his website for information, www.pickleballpasorobles. shutterfly.com. Location: Instructor: Age: Days: Time: Sessions: Fee:
