AVERAGE DAYS ON MARKET FOR SOLD BOATS OVER THE LAST 11 QUARTERS Time on market is a gradually changing indicator. Though moving in the right direction, it varies by market segment. “Motoryachts have been more sought after than convertibles,” says Tom Horvath, a sales executive with Allied Marine/ Ferretti Group in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. “Motoryachts and express cruisers are more in demand to sell right now.”

BOATS SOLD BY PRICE FOR OCTOBER 2011 “All boats are selling if the price is right,” Horvath says. “Some sellers are willing to bite the bullet and go ahead and take a lower price, especially if they’re looking at a larger boat, because they know they’ll get it back on the purchase.”
This 2005 Bertram 51 convertible sportfisherman is powered by a pair of 1,360-hp MAN diesels that push her to a top speed of 37 knots. She sold on October 4, 2011.
