Value: USD 253,000,000 Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning revealed that the Client: Ministry of Works, Municipalities ministry is almost finished with the sea Affairs and Urban Planning reclaiming of the fourth Muharraq bridge’s first phase that links Muharraq and MaWebsite: www.works.gov.bh nama. The cost of this strategic project is around BD 95 million. It is financed by the Saudi Fund for Development which includes reclamation and construction of a four-lane bridge. The Manama-Muharraq fourth bridge will link the economic, tourist and development facilities in Muharraq Island in the capital Manama from the north. It will also provide access to the new Busaiteen, Saya and Seef areas. The 150 meters-long bridge will include walkways. The pedestrian paths will also be established to enable them to move between the sides of the bridge. It will also link the investment projects in Muharraq Governorate to the existing commercial areas in Manama namely Diplomatic Area, Bahrain Bay and Bahrain Financial Harbor. Saudi Arabia plans to develop a $2 billion solar and carbon black integrated complex in partnership with China’s Longi and South Korea’s OCI. A feasibility study for the solar and carbon project will be completed by mid-2019. Carbon black is produced from heavy petroleum products and is commonly used as a filler in tyres and rubber products. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is aiming 58 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030 and is planning to construct a significant amount of plant throughout the kingdom.

The second phase of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children includes the construction of a new tower with a capacity of 100 beds, at a total cost of Dh300 million ($82 million). The new tower will be adjacent to the current hospital building located in Abu Dhabi Gate City and will be operational by mid 2020. The project has been designed by renowned American architectural firm HKS, who designed the existing tower of Danat Al Emarat in addition to Amar Golden Design. The second phase will be a new addition to women and children healthcare services, increasing the overall capacity of beds, especially number of advanced NICU beds, as well as bringing in pediatrics subspecialties and improving the services provided to women and children in the Emirate. The project includes opening of 50 new pediatric beds, 50 new beds for women, 3 digital operation rooms, 10 delivery rooms and 20 new beds at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Construction is likely to begin in the next three months.

Announces Sales Growth Across the MEENA Region in 2018

D Trucks has announced that it registered a nine percent increase in sales across the Middle East, East and North Africa (MEENA) region in 2018, despite challenging economic circumstances. In the Middle East region alone, the Japanese truck manufacturer either increased its market share or recorded stable sales in five out of seven markets. The UAE market has been very tough over the past twelve months; however, UD Trucks once again performed well and saw its market share increase. Bahrain remains a very strong market for UD Trucks as the brand enjoys a significant market share, which it continued to strengthen further in 2018. The brand continues to hold the number one position in the market. Saudi Arabia has experienced another tough year, with the total market continuing to drop. However, UD Trucks managed to keep a good level of sales while improving its market share in some key segments such as waste management and construction. Saudi Arabia remains a key focus for the brand, which has

put in place aggressive plans to further grow and support its customers in the Kingdom. Both Lebanon and Jordan were reactivated in 2018 as the brand transitioned from the legacy trucks to the introduction of new models in both the heavy and medium duty sectors. UD Trucks has high ambitions in these two markets as it leverages on the strong brand reputation built over recent years. It also enjoyed increased market share in two of its key East African markets - Ethiopia and Sudan. In Ethiopia, the challenge remains related to hard currency availability, yet despite these tough conditions the brand performed very well, especially in the last quarter of 2018. The brand has also registered good sales in Sudan, since it officially launched its new models in February 2018, both in logistics for medium duty, and for mining and construction for the heavy duty. In Pakistan, UD Trucks was officially relaunched in June 2018, with fantastic initial feedback from customers regarding the brand’s heavy duty truck, ‘Quester’, which was said to become the truck to pave the way

Trials First CNG Truck in Lithuania “ The perfect alternative for all transport operators ” Scania in Lithuania has partnered with the Vlantana logistics company and SG dujos, which develops gas infrastructure, to trial the first gas-fuelled truck in the country. “The Scania CNG gas truck provides us with a great opportunity to become a front runner in sustainable transport.” says Vladas Stončius, Executive Manager, Vlantana. “Further advantages for us will be driving in restricted areas and opportunities to access ferries and underground parking garages.” The Scania R 410 with its 13-litre gas engine is being trialled by Vlantana on their local and regional routes. Fuelling CNG in Lithuania is currently more than 40 percent cheaper in comparison with diesel.

Lithuania already has nine CNG filling station trucks with services available in all major cities. The CNG trials are seen as a forerunner to coming availability also of LNG, with the first LNG filling station due to open next year. With Lithuania’s floating LNG storage and regasification unit Independence, docked at Klaipeda since 2014, a rapid expansion of LNG facilities is expected. “Using gas as vehicle fuel in Lithuania only started this year,” says Virginijus Korsakas, CEO of SG dujos. “Gas is becoming a perfect alternative for all transport operators, not only because of the environmental aspects but also because of the competitive price.”

Best Sales Result in the Past Decade: Daimler Trucks Sells Well Over 500,000 Trucks in 2018

tuttgart -Daimler Trucks, the world’s leading truck manufacturer, achieved one of the best sales years in its history in 2018: Based on initial data, unit sales of the Mercedes-Benz, FUSO, Freightliner, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses and BharatBenz brands increased to well over 500,000 vehicles in 2018 (2017: 470,700). The exact sales figures will be announced by
Daimler AG at its annual press conference on February 6, 2019. In a generally positive market environment, the Daimler Group’s trucks division had already increased its unit sales by eleven percent to approximately 466,900 units by the end of November, significantly more than in the same period of the previous year (January - November 2017: 422,500).

In June 2018, Daimler Trucks presented the heavy-duty Freightliner eCascadia and the medium-duty Western Star eM2, the first all-electric series-produced trucks for the North American market. The first vehicle, a Freightliner eM2, was handed over to the major US customer Penske Truck Leasing Corp. on December 20, 2018 for use in real customer operations. In the coming months, an innovation fleet of 30 all-electric trucks from Freightliner will be put into operation. Together with the Saf-T-Liner C2 electric school bus from Thomas Built Buses and the FUSO eCanter, Daimler Trucks offers the widest range of electric commercial vehicles on the North American market. Daimler Trucks at CES for the first time in 2019 - with innovations for automated driving At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on January 7, 2019, Daimler Trucks and Freightliner are announcing strategic news on the subject of automated and connected driving. Once again, Daimler Trucks is underscoring its claim to innovation leadership within the truck industry. At the same time, the company is also presenting its broad portfolio of electric trucks in Las Vegas, all of which are already on the road and in service with customers. Double-digit growth rates in Asia, influenced by Indonesia and India
Strongest sales growth was in NAFTA region Most of Daimler Trucks’ largest sales markets developed positively in the past year, with the highest growth achieved in the NAFTA region. Sales of the Freightliner, Western Star and Thomas Built Buses brands increased by 15 percent to a total of approximately 172,700 units in the first eleven months (prioryear period 150,600). With a recent market share of 38.3 percent in weight classes 6 - 8, Daimler Trucks was by far the undisputed market leader for medium- and heavy-duty trucks in North America once again in 2018. In Asia, too, total sales rose significantly by 12 percent to 147,900 units (2017: 132,400). At approximately 40,000 trucks, sales in Japan in the first eleven months were roughly at the prior-year level (40,700). In its home market of Japan, the Asian commercial-vehicle subsidiary FUSO had a market share of 19.2 percent. FUSO’s heavy-duty flagship, the Super Great, benefits from the success of the global platform strategy - as do the latest heavy-duty trucks from Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner. In addition to a standardized electric/electronic architecture, the Japanese truck also uses the common drivetrain and this year will gain functionalities for partially automated driving (level 2). In the important Indonesian market, sales rose by a strong 52 percent to 57,400 units by November

2018 (prior-year period: 37,600). Customers in Indonesia have appreciated the trucks of market leader FUSO for more than 40 years. Since mid-2017, Daimler Trucks has also been offering Mercedes-Benz truck models there, which are mainly used as construction site vehicles. In India, sales were boosted by a significant recovery in demand for medium- and heavyduty trucks. Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) sold approximately 20,500 trucks in the first eleven months, a significant increase of 35 percent compared with the same period of last year (15,200). Daimler Trucks also reached an important milestone in September 2018 with the production of its 100,000th vehicle at the Chennai plant. In addition to BharatBenz trucks for the local market, the plant in Chennai also manufactures models for export to more than 40 markets worldwide. No other western manufacturer than Daimler has successfully become established in India so far. In China, the world’s largest market for commercial vehicles, Daimler holds a 50 percent equity interest in the joint venture Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive Co. Ltd. (BFDA), the manufacturer of Auman medium-
and heavy-duty trucks. As expected, sales of 95,100 Auman trucks in the first eleven months were below the high level of the prior-year period (104,600). In 2017, the market had benefited not only from the favorable economic developments but also from regulatory measures for the renewal of the stock of vehicles. Since it was founded, the joint venture has sold more than 580,000 Auman trucks. In order to participate more effectively in the dynamic development of the Chinese truck market in the future, Daimler Trucks made personnel changes for its business in China in 2018. Since the beginning of 2018, Sven Ennerst has been responsible for all truck activities in China on the divisional board of management of Daimler Trucks. And in January 2018, experienced commercialvehicle executive Kelley Platt took over the management of BFDA in China. Significant market recovery noticeable in Latin America In Latin America, Daimler Trucks significantly increased its unit sales in the first eleven months by 26 percent to approximately 34,400 trucks (prior-year period: 27,300). A significant contribution came from sales growth in Brazil,

the region’s main market. At approximately 19,300 vehicles, sales there grew by 59 percent (prior-year period: 12,200). With a market share of 27.7 percent, the MercedesBenz brand was once again the market leader in the medium and heavy-duty segments. Despite the economic crisis, Daimler Trucks has systematically used the past two years to focus on the future - among other things, by comprehensively modernizing its production facilities. At the Sao Bernardo do Campo plant, for example, Mercedes-Benz put a state-of-theart new truck assembly line meeting industry 4.0 standards into operation in 2018. Sales growth and market leadership also in Europe and Germany In the so-called EU30 region (European Union, Switzerland and Norway), Daimler Trucks’ unit sales increased slightly by 4 percent in 2018. From January through November, about 76,200 units were sold (prior-year period: 73,600). Mercedes-Benz Trucks maintained its market leadership in the medium- and heavyduty segments with a share of 20.4 percent. With the new Actros, Mercedes-Benz Trucks presented a vehicle to the public at the 2018 IAA Commercial Vehicles Show that has reached a new level in the heavy-truck segment with its technological innovations. The new MercedesBenz Actros with Active Drive Assist is the first series-production truck to enable semiautomated driving (level 2) on public roads. With Active Drive Assist, the new Actros can independently steer and brake, and significantly enhances safety in highway traffic by permanently monitoring its surroundings. Furthermore, an optimized drivetrain, the

In the field of electric driving, MercedesBenz has been handing over the first eActros trucks to its customers Hermes, EDEKA, Meyer Logistik and TBS Transportbeton since October 2018 in order to test their suitability for everyday use in regular transport operations. And around one hundred of the first all-electric FUSO eCanter light truck are now in service with customers in New York, Tokyo, Berlin, London, Amsterdam and Lisbon. In June 2018, Daimler Trucks brought together all its electric activities under the umbrella of the E-Mobility Group (EMG). The E-Mobility Group defines the strategy for all electrical components and complete electric vehicles across all brands and divisions. With over 14,000 m2 of space, the open-air terrain (809-813) will once again provide space for more than 60 exhibits. Among the many products on display will be new innovations and developments in the product categories of tower cranes, mobile and crawler cranes, earthmoving, material handling, deep foundation, concrete technologies and mining. Liebherr will also present its latest components in hall A4 (stand 326) on a showroom floor of nearly 450 m2. Here, the focus will be on condition monitoring and system solutions. Mercedes-Benz at the CMT 2019: Exhibition at the Trade Fair is All About the New Sprinter Stuttgart. The third generation of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is already proving to be a successful model, less than a year after its market launch. Since the start of sales in February 2018, the flow of orders has been steadily increasing. Orders placed in Europe for the Sprinter in the camper van segment have almost doubled in 2018 compared to the previous year. In 2019 the new Sprinter will be even more attractive for use as a camper: thanks to the newly developed “Mercedes-Benz Advanced Control� (MBAC) interface module, camper vans based on the new Sprinter will soon be connected homes on wheels. A review of 2018 - Sprinter concept on the rise, orders in the camper segment double The new Sprinter’s first year on the market has not yet drawn to a close, but one thing is already clear: now in its third generation, the iconic van has successfully expanded its presence in the camper van segment. The orders placed in Europe for the Sprinter as the basis for camper vans show a growth of around 100 percent compared with the previous year. The basis of the successful launch: the requirements of campers and bodybuilders were taken into consideration from the very beginning during the development phase of the third-generation Sprinter. In addition to being available in panel van and chassis cab variants, the new Sprinter is also available as a tractor head model. Here, the drive system, fuel tank and all other assemblies are located in front of the B-pillar, i.e. in the front area of the cab. The frame and rear axle are fitted individually and connected to the tractor head. In doing so Mercedes-Benz has set a new standard regarding the freedom of designing camper bodies. The drive system types of the new Sprinter are as individual as the body variants themselves. For the first time ever it is available with front-wheel, rear-wheel or allwheel drive. Crosswind Assist, which celebrated its premiere in the Sprinter in 2013 and which was a first in the segment at the time, is also on board. In addition, the new Sprinter impresses with regard to comfort thanks to features that have been developed especially for use in camper vans such as the ergonomically designed swivelling driver and co-driver seats and the electric parking brake. The omission of the handbrake lever in the centre aisle opens up access from the cockpit to the rear. This is an interface module which does away with the division between the basic vehicle and the living area, connects the components in front of and behind the B-pillar and thus makes their convenient operation via a central location possible. Thanks to MBAC, bodybuilders will be able to implement a central display for the water tank or gas levels, centrally regulate the temperature of the fridge or even that of the vehicle itself. Plus, installation of a central control system for the sound system, interior lighting (including ambient lighting) or the electrically retractable awning to name but a few will also be possible in Sprinter-based campers. Mercedes-Benz is offering three options for the centralised operation of these and other components in the new Sprinter: • The MBUX Touch Display in the vehicle’s cockpit • A separate display in the living area that bodybuilders can position as required • A smartphone app As a result, campers can enjoy the comforts of their connected home on wheels regardless of where the Sprinter camper van is parked. Trade fair appearance - Mercedes-Benz at the CMT with MBAC “discovery corner” Visitors to the CMT 2019 can test and interactively learn about MBAC at the Mercedes stand in a “discovery corner” either in the Sprinter cockpit exhibition, via a smartphone provided for their use or on displays which depict the control centre in the living area. Mercedes-Benz experts will be available for questions about this from 12 to 20 January 2019. The Marvelroad app will also be presented at this year’s CMT as a further integral part of the Mercedes-Benz digital service portfolio. Available since November 2018, this routes app makes car journeys an experience and now offers route suggestions for camper fans too.
Also on the Mercedes stand in Hall 7: a broad portfolio of body variants on the basis of the new Sprinter, including the semi-integrated 5-tonne camper van produced by Frankia on the basis of the Sprinter chassis. The Frankia M-Line T 7400 offers space for up to four people as standard and impresses with a high degree of comfort - whether on the road with numerous assistance systems such as Active Brake Assist or Active Lane Keeping Assist, whether in the cockpit thanks to the new Mercedes-Benz MBUX multimedia system or whether in the living area with standard panoramic roof and a headroom of over two metres. The Grand Canyon S, the compact camper by the HYMER brand is, on the other hand, based on the Sprinter Panel Van. It is available as standard with rear-wheel drive or with all-wheel drive as an optional extra - thus making journeys fun, even on snow-covered roads. A feeling of spaciousness awaits campers in the living area thanks to an intelligent allocation of space. The X-Class - the Mercedes-Benz pickup with a powerful 6-cylinder engine (combined fuel consumption: 9.0-8 .8 l/100 km, combined CO2 emissions: 236-230 g/km)[1] and a roof tent structure by Movera with a roof carrier from horntools completes the exhibits for the trade fair together with the popular Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo camper vans and leisure vehicle family.

Exhibitors Gear Up for Automechanika Jeddah 2019

eddah, Saudi Arabia: Rising vehicle parc (vehicles in operation), in Saudi Arabia is setting the stage for solid growth in the Kingdom’s US$7.4 billion automotive aftermarket. According to global research company Aranca, 10 million vehicles will ply Saudi roads by 2022, including 6.5 million passenger vehicles and 3.5 million commercial vehicles. As a result, demand for spare parts and related auto services will grow six percent annually, reaching a value of US$9.8 billion in 2022. According to Aranca, car parc in Saudi Arabia stood at 7.3 million in 2017, with 438,000 new passenger cars and 110,000 new commercial vehicles sold for the year. Tires accounted for the greatest slice of revenue in the Saudi’s spare parts market, with a 30 percent share in 2017 (US$2.2 billion), followed by lubricants (US$1.4 billion), batteries (US$400 million), and other components (US$3.4 billion). A market ripe with opportunity will be underlined by the 3rd edition of Automechanika Jeddah, which is licensed by Dubai-based Messe Frankfurt Middle East to their Saudiheadquartered partners - ACE Exhibitions. The only dedicated trade show for the automotive aftermarket and service industry in the Kingdom’s western region, Automechanika Jeddah takes place from 26-28 February at

وسيتم تنفيذ المشروع على خمس مراحل من قبل شركة مانكاي لالستثمار الصينية ،التي تمتلك 25شركة تابعة .يقع المشروع في مدينة السادات وسوف يمتد المشروع على مساحة 3.1مليون متر مربع ،وسيضم 568مصنعاً .كما أن من المتوقع أن يوفر المشروع فرص عمل ألكثر من 160،000عامل وفني بقيمة إنتاج سنوية إجمالية تبلغ 9مليارات دوالر أمريكي. وبحسب وزير التجارة المصري ،فإن التشغيل التجريبي للمرحلة األولى سيبدأ في مايو .2019وسيتم االنتهاء من المرحلة األولى من المشروع في نهاية عام 2019 ،وتشمل تنفيذ 150مصنعاً باستثمارات تبلغ حوالي 230مليون دوالر أمريكي في المرحلة األولى.

تلتزم ميناء ومنطقة صحار الحرة بتشجيع االستثمارات التجارية الجديدة التي ستلعب دور حيوي في خطط التنويع االقتصادي في السلطنة .وتماشيا مع الشراكة ،لن أيضأ سيخلق في وقت الحق العديد من الفرص. يضيف فقط المصنع الجديد للبترول قيمة للصناعات الموجودة بالفعل في المنطقة الحرة ،ولكنه ً يبلغ إجمالي استثمارات مصنع الفحم البترولي المكلس 75مليون لاير عماني وسيشغل مساحة قدرها 18هكتا ار في منطقة صحار الحرة .سيكون لدى المصنع سعة سنوية تبلغ 440،000طن متري ليتم تنفيذها على مرحلتين .تبلغ الطاقة اإلنتاجية للمرحلة األولى 280،000طن متري وسوف تبلغ الطاقة اإلنتاجية للمرحلة الثانية 160،000طن متري .سيتم تصدير المنتج النهائي ، CPC ،إلى صناعات األلمنيوم والصلب في وحول منطقة دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي.

كشف وزير األشغال وشؤون البلديات والتخطيط و ازرة األشغال والجهات اإلدارية والتخطيط العميل: العمراني أن الو ازرة قد انتهت تقريبا من االستصالح العمراني البحري للمرحلة األولى من جسر المحرق الرابع www.works.gov.bh موقع الكتروني: الذي يربط المحرق والمنامة .تبلغ تكلفة هذا المشروع االستراتيجي حوالي 95مليون دينار بحريني .وهو ممول من الصندوق السعودي للتنمية الذي يشمل استصالح وبناء جسر من أربع حارات. سوف يربط الجسر الرابع بين المنامة والمحرق المرافق السياحية والتنموية واالقتصادية في جزيرة المحرق في العاصمة المنامة من الشمال .كما سيوفر الوصول إلى مناطق بوسايتن وسايا والسيف الجديدة. وسيتضمن الجسر البالغ طوله 150متر ممرات .كما سيتم إنشاء مسارات المشاة لتمكينهم من التنقل بين جانبي الجسر. وسوف تربط المشاريع االستثمارية في محافظة المحرق بالمناطق التجارية القائمة في المنامة وهي المنطقة الدبلوماسية وخليج البحرين ومرفأ البحرين المالي مما سيسهل الحركة االقتصادية في المملكة. 77
