In April, the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau unveiled their new destination brand strategy after a year’s worth of research and work. “Creating a successful brand comes down to one thing—making a promise. Managing a brand to success is about delivering on that promise. Every organization, including destinations, needs to embrace and fulfill their brand promise every day. Thankfully, the LRCVB selected a promise that speaks to the best of who we are and what we have to offer. It is a brand promise that touches on our city’s best quality—that we exceed expectations. Consistently, our visitors tell us that they were pleasantly surprised with Little Rock’s hospitality, the passionate nature and progressive attitudes of our people, the richness of our history and culture, and an authenticity and excitement that is uniquely ours. I believe the brand promise is spot on, and something we can all embrace as a community.” Lena Moore, Deputy Executive Director, William J Clinton Foundation.

TERM through 12/31/14

Wednesday, June 12, 2013 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Join the Community Service Committee as we host the children of Operation Breakthrough on a tour of the Deanna Rose Farmstead. We will be chaperoning thirty 3 and 4-year-olds as they experience a fabulous tour of the area’s largest petting zoo, go on a hayride, feed baby goats, and take a ride on a pony. After the children depart at 1pm, PCMA members and guests will gather for lunch at Mimi’s Cafe (lunch will be on own and is not included in the registration fee).

Did you join us for a little Cocktail Chatter?

About 30 members of PCMA’s Heartland Chapter met April 17 at Renee Kelly’s Harvest, a farm to table restaurant in Shawnee, KS, for a cocktail and membership reception. Besides enjoying a signature martini created by the restaurant, attendees also enjoyed appetizers and great conversation. Thank you to our sponsors:
