When asked the secret to his nearly continuous Best of wins, owner Kevin Dick jokes it is a top secret. He will say his team plays a major role in their success. “We care, we actually care,” he said. “This is a testimony to our team and the effort that we put in and it is nice to have that reciprocated.”
Walgreens Pharmacy Manager Cliff Wilembrecht said, “We lost a tough contract last year. But the people in the pharmacy have kept up the service.” The pharmacy has eight employees who fill 11,000 prescriptions monthly. “Business is holding steady,” said Wilembrecht. Best Florist Payson Florist & Gift Shop Although Payson Florist is well known in town and a frequent Best of winner, this year’s win was especially sweet. Rita Jorgenson and her daughter Kali Jorgenson bought the shop in May from longtime owner Marilyn Dedman and made several changes. They lowered prices and brought in more flowerbased products. Kali was so surprised by the win she could barely hold still long enough to get her picture taken. “I am shaking. Chase Manager Andy Strader said, “I have amazing employees — and customers.” The bank has operated for 40 years in Payson — previously as Valley National Bank and Bank One — and has about 5,000 customers. “This award means a lot. It’s about caring. We care about every single person that comes into that bank. I came from a big bank in Phoenix. It’s wonderful here.
