Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
For more than 67 years Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary continues to be one of Gold Coast’s most treasured attractions mixed with fun for all ages. Spanning 27 hectares of coastal rainforest you can jump on-board a miniature train ride to see hundreds of amazing Australian wildlife. You can cuddle a koala, feed the wild Lorikeets and friendly kangaroos, or let the kids loose on the outdoor playground, Wild Island. Experience the 12 daily shows including the Dr. Doo-Lots & the Creature Teacher show with the one and only original Wildlife Whisperer, Air Asia Free Flight Bird Show or the Simply Magic & Animal Show just to name a few. Now imagine gliding gently through the lush surroundings of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on a Segway, the green way to go,
in seeing Currumbin. Visitors can start with the 10-minute Eco Fun Experience to learn how to ride the Segway, which have an intuitive steering system which simply goes in whatever direction you lean. Then to upgrade to take a fully guided 45 minute tour of the Sanctuary’s vast bushland and rainforest habitats. Put yourself to the test at Adventure Park with the exhilarating treetops ropes course with 80 challenges over five separate courses including the new Croc Shock, which features a 150 meter zip line over the saltwater crocodile and kangaroos to thrill even the most extreme adrenalin junkie. With high Tarzan swings and a giant flying fox, the black course will test the agility and daring of anyone who takes it on. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a ‘not-forprofit’ organization and reinvests all proceeds back into our amazing Australian native wildlife and conservations programs.
