Help us keep making magic Please don’t share our dreams away.

Our Christmas will be spent by ourselves this year and will be a very laid back day. We will still be having lots of fun (but I may choose to have a much simpler lunch). I also hope to do some crafting with the kids in the afternoon. I plan on having all the supplies ready to go to make some cute ornaments together for use in future years. The pattern I will be using is featured in this issue- Piccolo Snow Globes by Piccolo Studio.

I hope that you enjoy this issue, I am so proud of everyone’s input. After such a tumultuous year, it will be nice to sit in my sewing space and reconnect with my creative side. Please stay safe these holidays, I look forward to seeing your makes in our Facebook group!

JEANINE THOMLINSON The Crafting Fiend www.thecraftingfiend.blogspot.com Jeanine loves to create! From sewing to pottery and almost everything in between! She works with Carla Hegeman Crim running the Scientific Seamstress Pattern Company and overshares on Instagram regularly at @jeanine_thecraftingfiend. Jeanine has contributed many things to this issue- tutorials on how to create an appliqué design and fabric gift tags, and the Of Mice and Meese pattern.

NIKKI MARSH Bubby and Me Creations www.bubbyandmecreations.com.au With a love of sewing and creating, Nikki has created a business that she is truly passionate about. Whether it be patterns or fabric, her designs are fun and practical with a modern twist. Nikki has contributed the Daydream Skirt to this issue.

LAUREN WHITEMAN Laz Designs www.facebook.com/LazDesigns Laura started Laz Designs as a place for all her crazy creations back in 2012. She loves to sew and design appliqués for her two kids. She started sewing when she couldn’t find ready to wear clothes for her tall and skinny kids. She has made many custom appliqués for friends, and thought it was time to start sharing her ideas. For this issue, Laura designed the Moustache Tree Appliqué.

Ann was 10 years old when she made her first dress! She had been making dolls clothes from the age of 7 on her little toy sewing machine and her mum thought it was time for her to upgrade to the big electric Singer sewing machine. She’s been sewing and making patterns for herself and others ever since. She has been in the fashion industry for over 20 years. Ann has contributed the Miss Jasmine Dress to this issue.

Disclaimer: DEB ZALESKI Sprouting Jube Jube www.sproutingjj.blogspot.com Deb’s love of sewing and design can be traced back to the age of 3, matching fabrics to sewing patterns. After that it was never enough, and she just wanted to learn more. Deb is a mum to four kiddos, part time graphic artist and part time blogger at Sprouting Jube Jube. When she’s not at the sewing machine you can find her in the kitchen cooking and baking. For this issue, Deb has created a tutorial to add pockets to the Moku Skort.

SARAH SCOTT Piccolo Studio www.piccolostudio.com.au Sarah is a mother of three living on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. She’s been in the handmade industry for 13 years and loves to shop small and support other creatives. She spends her time either attached to her sewing machine or caring for her family. Sarah has contributed the Piccolo Snow Globes to this issue.

BROOKE SMITH Idle Sunshine www.idlesunshine.wordpress.com Brooke has a passion for creating! She loves the balance that photography and sewing give to her day job and her most important role of being a Mum to three busy kids. Brooke is inspired by the perfect (and sometimes crazy) pairing of fabric combinations with sewing patterns and is known for pattern hacking. Brooke has contributed the Slouchy Santa Hat pattern to this issue.
