Russell, among countless others. Perhaps its most iconic piece is sculptor James Earle Fraser’s 18-foot plaster tribute to the Native American people, The End of the Trail. It’s easy to spend hours combing through this tribute to the American West, but it’s worth seeing the grounds and statues if you only have a short time to explore. The gift shop has some great lost-wax cast TIP bronze replicas of Frederic Remington’s western sculptures. 1700 NE 63rd St., Adventure District 405.478.2250 // nationalcowboymuseum.org S/S 2013 | OKCCONVENTIONER.COM | 23
