Welcome It is a privilege to write the introduction to the latest edition of Offshore Holland. As the Dutch Deputy Vice Minister for Foreign Trade, I have witnessed first-hand the innovation, pragmatism and ‘can do’ mentality that characterizes our oil and gas industry. Our experience as a gas producing country and a logistics hub coupled with the international reach of Dutch oil, gas and maritime companies have made us global leaders in this industry. Our focus on innovation and cooperation is why the Netherlands was voted the most competitive country in the European Union in 2016, according to the World Economic Forum. It also helps explain the strong ties between the governments of the UAE and the Netherlands and its peoples. Ties premised on multifaceted economic bonds and a shared focus on innovation, which offers many opportunities to deepen our bilateral relationship. I am therefore excited to welcome all Dutch participants from the oil and gas sector to the annual Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) in Abu Dhabi from 13-16 November 2017.

ADIPEC is one of the premier oil and energy conferences, attracting tens of thousands of attendees and more than 2,000 exhibiting companies from more than 135 countries. This year’s theme is ‘Forging Ties, Driving Growth’, which resembles Dubai Expo 2020’s theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’. This similarity is no coincidence as it underscores the UAE’s approach to economic growth. Located as a hub between Europe, Asia and Africa, the UAE understands that achieving sustainable and inclusive economic growth depends on cooperation and innovation. Cooperation and innovation also characterize the oil and gas industry in the Netherlands. The need for cooperation stems from the basic premise that “no one knows all the answers on their own.” Cooperation between the government, private sector and knowledge institutes has produced niche technologies in the areas of production optimization, asset integrity and use of big data to manage oil and gas fields.

4

2017

The strength of the Dutch energy sector also lies in the fact that we provide a complete value chain proposition, from upstream to downstream activities, and from onshore to offshore solutions. A second hallmark of the Dutch oil and gas industry is the relentless focus on innovation. Innovation is vital to stay ahead of the curve in a fast changing energy environment but critically important when oil and gas prices are low. Both our governments share the commitment to innovation, which resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding on innovation signed earlier this year by HE Minister Al Mansoori and Minister Henk Kamp. It encompasses government-togovernment, business-to-business and knowledge-to-knowledge cooperation on a wide range of topics, including the water-food-energy nexus. The cornerstone of our engagement with the GCC region is a strong relationship with the UAE. The fact that more than 200 Dutch companies

and knowledge institutes – including leading companies like Shell, Van Oord, Fugro, Boskalis, Wageningen University and Research, TNO as well as many SMEs – call Abu Dhabi or Dubai their home affirms they are long-term partners of the UAE and the wider GCC region. I am positive that the 2017 edition of ADIPEC will strengthen existing ties and cement new bonds with counterparts in the UAE and the GCC region. To increase our visibility, the Dutch pavilion will be given a Holland+You touch. Holland+You is a communication and branding platform initiated by the Dutch economic network in the GCC to strengthen the understanding between our country and the GCC region. I wish you a pleasant and productive ADIPEC 2017 and I look forward to having the opportunity to meet with many of you in beautiful Abu Dhabi.

NG-5500X-LD, latest version in GustoMSC’s successful series of self-propelled jack-up designs

Brown field development in a lower for longer oil price environment

The offshore oil and gas industry is developing a general drive to increase the ultimate recovery rates from existing oil and gas fields. Home countries of these reservoirs will benefit from the additional income and decreased need of importing hydrocarbons. The existing oil and gas fields, or brown fields, need to be refurbished during their production life cycle to extend the production horizon. Apart from renewing the production platforms topsides and pipelines facilities, it also involves well workover, well intervention and re-drilling of wells to stimulate additional production from the reservoir.

8

2017

Traditionally those well campaigns were undertaken with existing drilling units. For example in shallow waters tender barges or drilling jack-ups would be used. The use of tender barges is limited to existing wellhead platforms that are still able to carry the derrick equipment set. This use is often challenged by the physical condition of those platforms. Existing drilling jack-ups are a good alternative to barges and can operate more independently from the existing platforms with better uptime characteristics, but in-field rig transit and installation time needs to be accounted for. With frequent but short duration workover jobs per platform this will weigh in significantly on efficiency of the rig. Perfect fit solution

The NG-5500X-LD is the latest design in GustoMSC’s successful series of self-propelled jack-up designs, the NG series, of which already a significant fleet of units is in operation for many years. It is the perfect fit solution for well intervention work in a large number of mature fields in the shallow waters of the Middle East, Asia and NW Europe, using its four legs and thrusters to gain a significant upside on the traditional barges and drilling jack-ups. The unit is suitable for the conditions of the brown fields typically found in the Middle East and Asia, which are characterized by water depths of up to 80 meters, but the unit is also able to work in the much harsher Southern North Sea conditions at water depths up to 50 meters. In this former domain of classic drilling jack-ups and tender barges with associated day rates and operational restrictions, the NG-5500X-LD offers the same intervention capabilities at a much more attractive rate and at modern safety and operational

standards. By being a DP-2 selfpropelled four-legged jack-up platform the NG-5500X-LD is much faster to install since no ballasting operation is required for preloading the legs and the rig can move on its own power from one location to the next and by carrying its own cantilever the physical condition of the platform it will work on is not relevant, since all the drilling loads will be carried by the unit. Key features

One of the key features of the NG5500X-LD is that it is designed with practical operational and survival capability in mind. The unit is capable of remaining offshore when adverse weather conditions occur, reducing downtime due to demobilization and remobilization time. It stays connected to the well but at a reduced combined load, resulting in more workable days, greatly enhancing efficiency and a minimum of non-productive hours. A large clean main deck of over 1,200 m2 provides space for third party equipment, mission specific needs such as X-mas trees, spool pieces and valve blocks as well as space to allocate additional drill pipe, casing or tubing. The light drilling cantilever truly bridges the gap between the successful

and maximizing uptime efficiency.

shallow to midwater service units and the full-fledged drilling rigs. The cantilever features the field proven and patented X-Y Skidding System which provides a large drilling envelope of 18.3 m x 7.9 m (60 ft x 26 ft), ensuring access to a vast majority of brown field platform well bay layouts seen in the Middle East, Asia and NW Europe. Conclusion

In the ever increasing search by oil companies for optimizing cost and reducing risk in extending the economic life of mature oil fields a fast moving, quick installing light drilling unit that has no effect on the production platform is an increasingly interesting option. Such a rig can stimulate the existing wells, perform refracturing operations and even drill into nearby previously untouched parts of the reservoir, as well as install water injectors for additional pressure on the reservoir. The GustoMSC NG-5500X-LD is specifically designed to fulfill such a role at an attractive price and with unmatched technical capabilities, enabling the oil industry to produce longer from their existing assets while keeping the associated risk to their asset very low, due to the maturity of the design and the ingenuity and experience of the engineers behind the design.

Revolutionary anchor demonstrates extreme holding power

Vryhof successfully tested Stevshark Rex in Australian calcarenite rock

Vryhof has successfully completed extensive field tests with the revolutionary Stevshark Rex anchor in Australian waters, proving its suitability for hard soils and carbonate rocks. This completely new anchor with its radically new fluke and shank geometries has already been designated by insiders as the ‘game changer’ in the mooring industry.

10

2017

In 2016 a total of 15 tests were successfully carried out at three locations in the North Sea famed for their anchoring problems with stiff clays. In early 2017 the new anchor was used in the United Arab Emirates by a rock cutter suction dredger on cemented soils. The results received from this site were also very positive. For the most recent test Vryhof selected test sites offshore Australia in close collaboration with Woodside Energy, one of the major Australian operators. “We were very interested in getting the test results of the Stevshark Rex anchor in remote and challenging territories such as the Angel Field in the North West Shelf of Australia with complex cemented soils of carbonite origin or calcarenite to calcilutite to limestone rocks,” explained Amy Rathmel, Geotechnical Engineer with Woodside Energy. “These geological settings can be quite brutal and very hard, so difficult for an anchor to embed.” Within a period of several days, Deep Sea Mooring Australia coordinated and executed the test. The 18 tonnes Stevshark Rex anchor with 7.2 tonnes ballast was tested in one hundred meters of water at four different locations, each with their own ‘extreme’ soil characteristics. For the execution of the tests, Farstad’s ‘Far Scorpion’, having a bollard pull of 251 tonnes, was deployed. The first test took place in a carbonate silty sand seabed, up to 4 meters thick and overlaying calcarenite rock. The second test was performed in a thinner sediment (1 – 2 meters), also with rocks beneath. The soil for the third test consisted of calcarenite rock with rough/irregular topography, while the last test was in calcarenite

rock with a smooth bedrock surface. All of the tests were successful. The holding power of the Stevshark Rex exceeded all expectations. The open geometry and the protruding fluke tips on the anchor effectively penetrated even the hard rock field at the final test site as predicted. Leopoldo Bello, Managing Director of Vryhof Anchors said: “We are very pleased with the results of these tests offshore Australia, of course, proving that the Stevshark Rex is more efficient, more predictable and stronger, and delivers holding power

in extreme conditions unmatched by any other anchor. We are grateful to Woodside Energy, Farstad and our Australian colleagues for the fantastic cooperation. At Vryhof Anchors we offer anchoring solutions based on extensive practical experience, as well as knowledge of the geotechnics, experimental research, modelling and testing. The ability to use anchors in challenging soils is a perfect example of how Vryhof combines its products and services to support its customers in optimising the way they address their challenges in a cost efficient manner.”

Add-on equipment drilling jack-ups

Optimizing operational efficiency Modern day drilling jack-ups are highly specialized machines aimed at drilling wells in the most efficient way. But they are also built to a certain price point and thus cannot always do everything an owner might want to do with it when it is delivered from the yard, or after some years in service. For this reason GustoMSC has developed add-on equipment that will allow the existing jack-up to be used more effectively, increase capability or enable operations beyond the original design conditions.

Optimizing operational efficiency by integration of new equipment.

12

2017

The texas deck can also be used as an access platform to a fixed platform and can take part in the material handling route towards the platform, since it can be skidded within reach of the rig main cranes. Add-on spudcans

The GustoMSC SmartCrane offers unique features that directly address the call for cost reduction from operators, while providing drilling contractors with a means to distinguish themselves. Focus of this equipment was to increase efficiency by enabling simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) independently of any operation in progress on the drill floor and enabling access for safe and efficient material handling underneath the cantilever and between the work platform and drill rig. The economical step change is found in rig day savings in plug and abandonment operations, which can amount to around 10% compared to the conventional procedure, in which all activities such as logging and cementing must be performed in a sequence on the drill floor. The SmartCrane is fitted out with a series of wire line guide sheaves to guide the wire line to any position where the crane tip can reach. In addition, it provides a 20 metric ton hoisting capacity underneath the cantilever at any position outside the drilling riser, and also has the possibility to reach to the main deck of the rig. It can thus transfer containers and other pieces of equipment (<20mt) from the main deck of the rig to underneath the cantilever and vice versa.

Because of its electrical drive system, the SmartCrane requires little maintenance. It can be installed on a new build rig or retrofitted to an existing rig. Due to the efficient foundation interface, it requires little modification to the existing cantilever structure. The SmartCrane is easily dismountable enabling full reach and combined load capability for cantilever operations when needed. It is even possible to use the SmartCrane on different rigs of the same type when the same integration point is used on similar rigs in the drilling contractor jack-up fleet. Texas deck

A texas deck provides the ability to vertically support the riser or conductor from a separate platform, instead of from the rotary or top drive and move transversely along the stern of the rig. During transit the texas deck is folded up vertically against the stern and while elevated it is lowered into its horizontal working position. The texas deck enables the rig when it is working on subsea templates to temporarily hang off a marine riser with subsea BOP, such that it can install the subsea Xmas tree and pick up the riser again right after installation of the Xmas tree. This type of operation saves valuable time and thus increases the efficiency of the jack-up significantly.

When a jack-up is assessed for suitability to work on a certain site but fails certain criteria of the site specific assessment, all is not lost. There is always one mitigating measure that can be taken, which is to reduce the VDL and/or combined load acting at the cantilever. But if that is not enough or not desirable there remains one more option: modification of the spudcan. A jack-up always relies on the soil for its stability by preloading the legs up to and beyond the expected maximum survival vertical leg reaction. This can then lead to severe penetration and cause too much leg to protrude below the hull. Another issue that can appear is lack of soil fixity, whereby the original spudcan cannot generate enough soil fixity to relieve the leg-hull interface. Both issues can be solved by enlarging the existing spudcan or fitting it with a skirt or a combination of these, either by using a temporary or a permanent welded structure, or by fitting add-on spudcans. These add-on spudcans are completely pre-fabricated spudcans that are attached to the lower end of the leg chords with a dedicated clamping mechanism. The advantage of using add-on spudcans is that they require very minimal non-productive time of the jack-up since it only needs a marine mating operation that does not even have to take place in a drydock. The add-on will usually be designed with a specific field in mind, enabling the jack-up that was previously unable to do the job to pass the site specific assessment and start working on that field.

Van Heck operates in the field of water management and movement

The brand new diesel driven HK800.

Moving water any way you want it Van Heck operates on an international level in the field of water management and movement. With its diversity in pump units, Van Heck operates from dredging, salvage and offshore operations to sewer renovation and cool water applications. Every operation can be customized to meet the wishes of the client and the project’s demands.

16

2017

Van Heck’s equipment is designed and built on their own premises. Van Heck is constantly innovating and developing its fleet. Van Heck is also active in the offshore and maritime industries. Spearhead in these industries is equipment for ballast operations. This equipment is specifically designed for load-outs and floatovers, and ideally suited for salvage operations. The completely autonomous ballast and deballast system can be entirely controlled from a central point and has a total capacity of over 40,000 tons per hour. Capabilities

Van Heck’s capabilities in this field: • Load-out: Supply a complete ballast system, including (ballast) engineering and operation, to load a construction from the shore onto a barge. • Float-over/mating: Supply a complete ballast system, including engineering and operation, to install a platform on the offshore location. • Jet trenching: Supply pumps to jet in cables on the ocean floor.

A number of Sea Trophy emergency response kits have been mobilised to strategic locations over the globe. These sets are suitable for FOR (Fast Oil Recovery) systems on board vessels as well as with the standalone Milk Can solution, making tank access through holes as small as 200 mm diameter possible. Each Sea Trophy emergency response kit consists of a complete set of tools and accessories, including the hydraulically driven Sea Trophy pump, capable of pumping oil with a flow of 70 m3/h. Besides in The Netherlands, the emergency response kits will be available from bases in Miami, FL USA and Singapore. By distributing the kits globally, they can be on site very quickly. Every station has its own logistic services and can facilitate the mobilisation and operation of the Sea Trophy adequately. Largest

For less complicated operations a mini ballast and/or manually controlled system can be supplied. Global availability

In 2012, Van Heck started to use its proven expertise in water pumps to develop a new, innovative system for ‘green and easy oil recovery’, the Sea Trophy. This oil pump enables fast oil recovery out of fuel or cargo tanks if a ship is in distress or when incorrect fuelling has taken place. The aim of the Sea Trophy is to provide the ship with the ability to recover the fuel or cargo tank’s content in case of an emergency, when no other on-board equipment can help. In 2016, Van Heck has announced the global availability of the Sea Trophy.

After a complex development process, Van Heck’s engineers succeeded in 2017 to build a mobile pump set with an even larger flow and volume. The brand new diesel driven HK800, like Van Heck’s present pride, the HK700, has been built on 20ft container size. Where the HK700 can pump around 7,000 m³/hour, the HK800 will reach a flow rate of almost 10,000 m³/hour! This comes down to draining an Olympic swimming pool within 15 minutes. The HK800 is extremely suitable for dredging projects and calamities. If desired, this pump set can be supplied with sound reduction. The first HK800 has already been rented for a nice dredging project in Egypt.

Contingency plans

Van Heck has accumulated a broad insight into how to respond to diverse emergency situations. Key factors in emergency response are speed and a suitable solution. Van Heck’s contingency plans provide an answer to both these factors. Advantages of a contingency plan • Significant time gain in reacting to an emergency; • No need for site visits; • Everyone involved is prepared and knows what actions must be taken; • Substantial cost reduction because a prepared emergency response is considerably less expensive than emergency response without a plan; • Limited damage due to prompt action; • Professional and reassuring approach towards all parties. How it works

Flood prone locations as pumping stations or other key areas at risk are best known within your organisation. After an inspection of the location(s) the desired contingency is discussed. Van Heck proposes the best suited pumps for the location and the required pump capacity. Necessary site preparations and crane positions (and the type of cranes required) are also noted in the contingency plan. Van Heck provides preferably three versions for the pumping solution. This guarantees availability of equipment in case of an emergency. When the installation drawings are completed, packing lists are produced, stating all the necessary material (pumps, piping, bends, gaskets, bolts and nuts etc.) with a loading plan showing the material divided over the required number of lorries.

Most technologically advanced vessel

Royal IHC to design and build integrated reel lay vessel for Subsea 7

Royal IHC and Subsea 7 have signed a contract for the design and build of a new reel lay vessel. This high specification vessel will be capable of installing complex rigid flowlines including ºpipe-in-pipe systems. Delivery of the vessel is planned for early 2020.

In close cooperation with Subsea 7, IHC has incorporated several innovative features to make this the most technologically advanced vessel to date. The vessel’s compact dimensions are facilitated by the creative positioning of its three engine rooms and main reel, efficient use of the superstructure, and low-profile pipelay ramp. The smart use of space opens a large aft working deck, whilst the optimised mass distribution minimises the ballast water requirement. With model tank testing already having been performed, Subsea 7 can be confident that it will receive a vessel from IHC that excels in

20

2017

performance, both in transit and in DP conditions, and provides maximum comfort for the crew. The design of the reel lay system focuses on operational efficiency and flexibility, alongside crew safety. The twin tensioner pipelay ramp tilts to allow pipeline installation from shallow waters to depths of up to 3000m. The large multi-level workstation optimises the efficiency of operations in and around the firing line, whilst a fixed auxiliary reel, recessed into the main deck, gives payload flexibility. Royal IHC has delivered a total of

eight vessels to Subsea 7 in the course of their longstanding relationship. This new Reel lay vessel will be the first to be equipped with a pipe lay system, also designed, engineered and built by IHC. Dave Vander Heyde, CEO Royal IHC: “We are very proud of the confidence that Subsea 7 has placed in IHC. Our integrated approach to vessel design will give Subsea 7 an industry leading asset that sets a new standard in offshore pipe lay. Based on the ratio between top pipe tension and payload to displacement, this will be one of the most cost effective vessels to enter the market.”

First commercial charter in offshore wind sector for SafeWay

Successful ‘new technology’ debut on offshore access market

Adwen very consciously chose the SafeWay

The possibility of a stepless 10-meter vertical height

gangway for having a unique active ‘free-float’ mode.

adjustment enables the access arm of the SafeWay to maintain a nearly horizontal position in all tidal conditions.

The Van Aalst Group with his headquarters in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, can look back on a very successful debut in the North Sea wind sector with the implementation of the project using the unique SafeWay motion compensated offshore access system. The design for transferring personnel and cargo safely and efficiently from an offshore vessel to a structure is so revolutionary that SafeWay believes the gangway will be a ‘game changer’ in the offshore oil, gas, wind and renewables industries. The unique 28 metre long walk-to-work Seagull-type is able to compensate for significant wave heights of up to 3,5 metre on a standard 75-metre long PSV hull, resulting in an operating window that can be significantly higher than other available systems in the market.

This first SafeWay gangway is currently installed on the 95-metre long OCV ‘Olympic Intervention IV’, owned by Olympic Subsea ASA, Norway. The DP2 vessel, having

24

2017

excellent seagoing properties, offers accommodation and workspace to 100 passengers (POB) and is chartered by the German wind turbine manufacturer Adwen GmbH for maintenance

activities and trouble shooting at three different wind parks located in the German sector of the North Sea. Under sometimes challenging weather conditions, with significant wave

heights above 2.8 meter, 851 people transfers were carried out during 173 landings without any problem in 29 days, including an additional 301 cargo transfers. The gangway incorporates a 3D compensated crane capability, for which the design includes a separate winch to transfer up to 400 (or optional 1000) kilos. This efficient transfer of equipment helps expedite the operational work flow as well. Major advantages

Ralf Schuckert, site manager of Adwen, is enthusiastic about the smooth and high performance of the SafeWay gangway, designed to tailor to the needs of different market segments, weather conditions, sea states, cargo and crew loads. Adwen, part of Siemens Gamesa, has experience with other gangways as well, but especially points out two major advantages of SafeWay. Firstly, the 10 meter vertical lifting possibility of the SafeWay is praised by him. Schuckert: “Secondly, the hovering above bulwark with stairs to a safe area on the turbine deck has great advantages as a 360 degree landing can be realised without any special preparation. That is why Adwen very consciously chose for using this gangway having a unique passive ‘free-float’ mode, the so-called Zero Impact Bumpering mode, enabling the access system to ‘float’ just above the entry point onto a platform or monopile, without actually touching it. Not only does the vessel get more freedom in heading, it also gives the access system greater workability compared to other systems. Moreover the hovering system exclude people from climbing over bulwark, thus increasing their safety.” Adwen used the SafeWay access system for the first time during the

maintenance campaign at the Trianel Windpark Borkum, where 40 turbines had to be inspected. After this project the ‘Olympic Intervention IV’ was directed to the Wikinger wind park, 35 km off the German Island of Rügen and Germany’s first offshore wind farm Alpha Ventus, located 45 km off the coast of Borkum. Comfortable

Morten Endre Stakvik, captain of the ‘Olympic Intervention IV’ confirms the encouraging comment from client Adwen. “I had never worked before with a walk-to-work system that can be lifted vertically and my experience is quite positive. This gangway is behaving perfectly and it was amazing to witness the speed of the personal transfers as well as the cargo transfers. The cooperation with the SafeWay operators is great. They are very professional and what is more important, they explain the system to the maintenance technicians who make the crossing for the first time, in a very understandable way. And what I understand from these technicians it feels quite natural and comfortable walking 20 metres above sea level from our accommodation vessel to the structure. It’s kind of like crossing a street, but at sea. From the vessel you can walk straight to work in a totally covered construction. Just like walking in a jet bridge to a plane.” Revolutionary

Wijnand van Aalst, managing director of SafeWay, is excited about the excellent feedback. “With the development of the SafeWay we aimed to revolutionize the walk-towork market, introducing a product which surpasses competition. We learned already from the first crossings earlier this year for Total E&P Nederland and Oranje-Nassau Energie (ONE) that our smart and

innovative approach is a big step forward in technology and safety, the latter being undeniable our number one priority. The system is 100% redundant with in total 440 alarm notifications, so a singlecomponent technical failure will never cause hazardous situations. But in the eyes of the world we now had to prove what we were claiming since we unveiled the distinctive features of this motion compensated gangway in 2015. And that’s why we are so grateful to companies like Olympic Subsea and Adwen that they rewarded our innovative system with this contract and trust our capabilities.” Features

The Bureau Veritas approved SafeWay motion compensated gangway system incorporates three main features which are unique in the walk-to-work market: 1. R oll compensation: the SafeWay technology is based on a unique roll cylinder, enabling the system to keep the mast in a vertical position at all times. 2. H eight adjustment: the possibility of a stepless 10-meter vertical height adjustment enables the access arm to maintain a nearly horizontal position in all tidal conditions. This rules out unsafe uphill or downhill walking, further enhancing safety. 3. Z ero Impact Bumpering: active free floating allowing maximum freedom in vessel heading and zero preparation at the landing point. Second unit

Van Aalst offers all different types of the SafeWay gangway for purchase as well as rental. Based on the positive feedback and market potential, Van Aalst has commenced building a second unit which will be available in Q41 of 2018.

Boskalis fulfils strategic ambition

Acquisition of subsea survey specialist Gardline

The ‘Ocean Researcher’.

Royal Boskalis Westminster has recently acquired all shares of the Gardline Group. The UK based company’s main activities include marine geophysical surveys, offshore geotechnical services and environmental surveys.

With the acquisition Boskalis fulfils its strategic ambition to build a position in the offshore survey market and becomes a specialist provider of subsea geotechnical surveys with an exposure to the renewables market and the early cyclical oil and gas market. Gardline operates 15 survey related vessels in addition to 25 smaller vessels including crew transfer vessels and survey catamarans.

The consideration paid including assumed debt amounts to approximately GBP 40 million. The current annual revenue level is approximately GBP 60-70 million. Based on the challenging near-term outlook Boskalis does not expect the transaction to be EBIT accretive within the next few years. This transaction however positions Boskalis well for when end-markets recover.

Gardline was established in 1969 and was a second-generation family-owned business. The company’s principal offices are located in Great Yarmouth, UK with further activities in the USA, Brazil and Singapore. Gardline currently employs approximately 750 employees including a pool of 100 surveyors. With the acquisition Boskalis strengthens its position as marine services provider in Northwest Europe.
