5 DAYS 100+ SONGWRITERS It’s the 9th year of the Panarts songwriters’ festival and conference. Once again we have a great mix of local talent and award winning international artists. We’re putting songwriters centre stage and highlighting the importance of being creative. Over the 5 days we have concerts featuring different styles of writing from Folk to Rock and Comedy, Pop to Americana and Country. The 9th Song Writing Convention™ features many of the main artists and they are here to share their skills. We’re looking at Intellectual Property, Royalties, and incomes streams, as it is very important to protect what you have created. We’re exploring copyright and how to register your trade mark or brand name. The Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Invest NI and the MU will talk about the support available for songwriters (see pg 9 and www.belfastnashvile.com). On behalf the Panarts Trustees, we would like to thank all the volunteers and a big thank you to our funders and sponsors. Hope you’ll make it along to the conference and come out to support live music at the Belnash concerts. See you there. Colin Magee - Panarts Director | Anne Coulter - Festival Manager

John Spillane In Concert With Special Guest Alana Henderson

John Spillane is a musician, songwriter, performer, recording artist, storyteller, poet, dreamer – a canvass filled with colour and brilliance. Two-time Meteor award winner, John is one of the most accomplished songwriters in Ireland today. Among those who have covered his songs are Christy Moore, Karan Casey, Sharon Shannon and Sean Keane, to name a few. John’s performances effortlessly flit between beautiful poetry tinged with melancholy to roguish, irreverent Cork humour. If you are looking for a night of good ‘craic,’ a John

Spillane show should not be missed. The man and his music are pure magic. At tonight’s concert multi-talented Alana Henderson is launching her new EP ‘Wax & Wane.’ As well as performing her own songs, Alana plays cello and flute, sings songs in Irish and Scottish Gaelic and traditional ballads in English. johnspillane.com alanahenderson.bandcamp.com Black Box, Concert Room, 18-22 Hill Street, Belfast BT1 2LA
