5 Days 40 Concerts 100 Songwriters It’s been a great year for Panarts with our Song Writing Programme running throughout the year and now the finale, BelNash 2016. We have our regular concerts featuring the very best of Roots Music; Bluegrass, Americana and Country. Our unique concert series ‘Songwriters in the Round’ links international American artists such as Stephen Bishop, Gary Burr, Georgia Middleman and Jim Lauderdale with local talent on stage together. This year we’re branching out and celebrating more wonderfully creative people in the world of music. West End star Anna O’Byrne (AUS) will be performing beautiful songs, from The Musicals, with Belfast School of Performing Arts. Jazz and Swing features in The James Huish and The Savage Five concerts. We’re particularly pleased that Ulaid are performing with Liam Ó Maonlai, of Hothouse Flowers fame. In the Music City Roots Show, filmed for television and broadcast into 60 million homes across America, we are celebrating the musical links between Belfast and Nashville. One of Ireland’s most charismatic musicians Liam Ó Maonlaí will share the stage with the highly innovative traditional band Ulaid. Liam had global success as frontman of rock band Hothouse Flowers and is also described as one of Ireland’s best sean-nós singers. A master pianist, Liam also performs on guitar, harp, tin whistle and bodhrán John McSherry, Dónal O’Connor and Sean Óg Graham are the creative force behind Ulaid. For twenty years, Uilleann piper John McSherry has been a major figure in Irish music. Fiddle player

Dónal O’Connor has toured the world and has composed music for theatre, television and film. One of Ireland’s finest accompanists, guitarist and accordion player Seán Óg Graham has performed with many artists and was founding member of acclaimed band Beoga. Music City Roots Show, Belfast to Nashville is a special one-off concert featuring amazing artists from both sides of the Atlantic, celebrating Sister Cities with a shared musical heritage.
