AluArtForum - Zagreb The plot proposed for the competition is located between Street Ilica 83 and 87 where is now in the Academy of Fine Arts parking space is a void of special value; on the one hand, this gap opens up the park as one of the most important arteries of the city (Ilica), on the other hand provides a potential opportunity to complete the historic facades of the same artery . The basic question that arises from a planning perspective is precisely the relationship of the object with respect to the potential opportunities afforded by the empty space, the continuity of the park or continuity urban fronts. In today’s cities and urban cores consolidated, green areas are urban areas that are worthy by today’s paradigms not only sociological and social values as a public space, but also extremely important ecological potential within the urban fabric. The proposed project gallery of Fine Arts primarily seeks to preserve the

“opening “ of the park to the city and with it, the chosen form does not compromise a given historical context. The typology proposed can be defined as a kind of Vertical Exhibition Pavilion, which is obtained by stacking the optimal maxi area of exhibition units in the form of boxes, one above the other. Character pavilion is further underlined landscape design greenery on existing lateral walls that will remain intact. Vertical greenery seeks to preserve the relationship with the front of the park down the street and at the same time interacting with the new facility creates a special value in the interior. New gallery will give a new definition to the existing block to keep existing fracture at the same time , its shape defined by a new public entrance. The volume of the building with its composition floors that are “ beyond our grasp” seeking to establish that a harmonious relationship with the existing context, opens to the park and exploiting slip

floors for filtering light intended for the official space. The project fully meets the program requirements with regard to dimensions. It has a slightly higher gross area of the default (2350 m2) but it is not used for excavation Increasing multifunctional space that is primarily intended for the combination of exhibition space and workshop, the space to interact with the audienc

Coima Headquarter - Milan The proposal for the building of the new COIMA building by architect Mario Cucinella completes the area of Porta Nuova Varesine in Milan. The building has two objectives: to be a highly representative intervention and connect the urban fabric to the adjacent park. The project explores the theme of the synthesis between “natural” and “artificial” formally and environmentally. The intention is not to put another “actor” in a place where the architectures are already strong and full of symbolism, but to create a flexible and reconfigurable project alternating offices and commercial spaces and emphasizing the relationship between interior and exterior. Specifically, in this work I collaborated as interior designer, I studied the office out-fit, followed by the executive design phases and tecnical drawings.

Brßckenpavillons - Wuppertal The challenge of the project is to achieve attractive retail pavilions without interfering with the already very character- ized architecture of the neighbourhood. For this reason we propose a simple building, easy to realize, flexible and easy to maintain. A glass box with a captivating roof structure, hiding all the technical amenities and embracing the new bridge. The simple and light cladding of the roof makes the general metal structure easy and cheap to realize. The roof itself becomes façade on the back of the pavilions where it can be a great support for commercial spots or decorative lighting perceivable from the road below. On the front side of the pavilions it becomes canopy, protecting people from the sun and the rain, but on the same hand providing a soft lighting on the pedestrian bridge. The steel curved beams are characteristic and exciting

over than necessary. The signboard of the shop is lasercut in the metal cladding above the windows, where it can be easily backlit to obtain an attractive and very elegant effect. The interiors of the pavilions can be organized following the tenants’ needs, assembled in larger or smaller units, always including a back of house stripe with the related technical amenities above. The choice of the materials of the project is due to the willing of having a light and elegant building, but solid and with less need of maintenance.

Designing In Therean The aim of the contest is to bring together ideas and identify solutions that will provide the best and most coherent integration of the structures in the local urban and commercial setting, with projects that take into account cultural and technical aspects, in order to enhance the buildings, making them recognisable, with a clear sense of identity. The spaces in question will be used for commercial premises and offices, and crucial in these designs will be the ability to convey the sense that these spaces are interpreted with contemporary sensitivity.

Mercati Generali - Rome The regeneration of the Mercati Generali site is a key component in the reconstruction of this area to the south of the city centre. It is of course remarkable that such a large site is available for development in the centre of Rome, and this places a responsibility on the design team to design a project of excellence. The goal is to work with the existing old market buildings to produce a scheme which perfectly combines traditional and contemporary architecture. In addition, there will be a wide variety of internal and external spaces which will produce on completion a vibrant destination. This is a truly mixed-use retail, leisure, hospitality, workplace and cultural project and will ensure a highly successful new component in the urban fabric of Rome. As the market has evolved over time, it expanded into a series of orthogonal

building blocks parallel to Via Ostiense. The best heritage buildings have been retained for inclusion as integral parts of the new development. The retained buildings have created a series of rectangular sites of varying sizes. In response to this we are proposing to continue the orthogonal character of the traditional market planning, and to design a series of buildings and spaces that t naturally on the site. It is key that the heritage buildings are visually dominant onto the principal Via Ostiense faรงade, to maintain the character of the place. The new buildings have been carefully massed to maintain this objective. To the east of the site, adjacent to the railway line, the buildings are more contemporary in nature to correspond to the surrounding character of the city. The objective is to produce a legible

project which is also a complex arrangement of streets and piazzas, to ensure a wide variety of visual experiences for the users of the completed development.

CĂŠzanne. Les ateliers du Midi Royal Palace, Milan The intention of the exhibition is to enter in the Paul CĂŠzanne studio. This means penetrate into the depths of his creative process. Via Aselli - Milan This ia a refurbishment project of a flat that is located in the central area of Milan. The building is a typical social house typology of thirties from last century with a great architectural quality. Although the building offers a big green courtyard, height of ceilings (around 3.5m) and great opening, it has also many gaps regarding to interior division. The client asked to redevelop all the interior design, starting from the division up to the new furniture. Everything has been designed in response to the requests of the client that has been involved in all decisions process. The living room took wide part of the flat to respond to the desire to have a large space for cooking. The central block required more attention in the design process. The client is a designer and photographer so there was a request

for a very special room: a darkroom to develop photos. This room has been designed in the darkest part of the flat next to the big bathroom. The bed room and the studio/room have been maintained in their original location.
