The SouthCoast Chamber’s Good Morning SouthCoast Breakfast Program is quickly becoming an event business leaders turn to for relevant information from topic experts. In March, the Honorable Jay Ash, Secretary of Economic Development and Housing for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, joined us and discussed the state of our local business community. He touched upon the impacts of Off Shore Wind, The SouthCoast Rail and the economic opportunities surrounding the Port of New Bedford. Following his remarks, an interactive panel discussion took place where roughly 100 attendees had the opportunity to ask hardhitting questions about the economic development of the South Coast.

The next edition of Good Morning SouthCoast Breakfast Program, Sponsored by BayCoast Bank will take place in June. The event will focus on our local education system, the progress made and what is being done to continuously increase attainment rates. Education is one of our most vital economic tools and it is essential the business community is well informed on how prepared students are to enter the workforce. Better Community Living, Inc. Helps Local Individuals Find The “NEXT STEP” To a Successful Future This spring Better Community Living, Inc. introduced their new program at its 5 Ventura Drive site in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The NextStep program is geared for interested individuals ages 18 and older who prefer a unique individualized program rather than the traditional day habilitation programs currently available for young adults.
