The New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Membership Campaign on Tuesday, June 9th and Wednesday, June 10th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please consider giving three and a half hours of your time with fellow business leaders, all while sharing the value you derive from being a member. The day will include a complimentary lunch. In addition, valuable prizes will be awarded to top recruiters!
The Greater New Bedford Connecting Activities Partnership is seeking the assistance of local employers to help high school students find summer internship opportunities. Turn to page 3 to find out more.

The Chamber provides numerous services for its members, including networking and professional development, export services, an electricity discount program, free and low cost marketing, school-to- career initiatives, trade shows, as well as government affairs programs and advocacy to encourage a positive business climate for the New Bedford Area. In addition, the Chamber’s New Member Campaign will also feature several “join now” incentives for businesses and organizations that enroll with the Chamber, including free advertising, website listings, admission to Chamber networking programs and more. Legislative Luncheon to Feature Governor Charlie Baker The New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce will bring Beacon Hill to the SouthCoast when it hosts Governor Charlie Baker as the keynote speaker at its 2015 SouthCoast Legislative Luncheon on Thursday, June 11th. The event will he held at Hawthorne Country Club, 970 Tucker Road, Dartmouth, MA from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Check-in for the event starts at 11:15 a.m., with the luncheon beginning at 11:45 a.m. The cost of the event is $45 for members and $55 for non-members, with tables of ten also available. Advanced reservations are required by Friday, June 5th and can be easily made by calling the New Bedford Area Chamber at 508-999-5231 or online at www.newbedfordchamber.com.
