From the Creator of HBM... rates to name a few things. And what if receiving was not about taking or getting? And what if receiving is also at times about other people’s emotions washing through us and dissipating? If we have a belief that I am all about being the ‘giver’ then if people are desiring to gift us money, kindness, energy or information, are we really going to allow ourselves to receive? And how much does that then impact the collective? The gifting and receiving with Mother Earth has been profound for me in the last month and has really allowed me to tune in and our move to be 100% online feels really light and even more conscious of the environment.

This has come from having a close connection with the Earth like never before during our partial lockdown. How can we contribute to the Earth and how can we receive from the Earth today?

The theme this month is ‘gifting and receiving’ which I see as a simultaneous experience and it can be a way of being. Even science shows us the massive benefits our bodies receive when we give from the heart!

Thank-you for continuing to support and share this magazine and you can read my interview with inspiring cover girls Sonya Driver and Sarah Rosborg (AnneMarie Tipper couldn’t be in the front cover shot due to the lockdown protocols from previous months) on page 20-21.

Although when giving becomes an obsession, without lowering our barriers to receive, it can create imbalance and even illness. The healing world can at times encourage a ‘give until you drop’ philosophy and receiving may be viewed as bad, weak or selfish. However, giving to ourselves and learning to receive may reduce burnout, sickness and suicide

Thai Style Pumpkin Stuffed Pappadums RECIPE REBECCA MUGRIDGE

Perfect for lunch or a picnic, this recipe is as warming and colourful as it is nurturing. Ingredients: Pappadums 3 cups pumpkin – choose a sweet pumpkin like Kent/Japanese ½ cup spinach (or kale), finely shredded (optional) ½ cup red lentils, rinsed ½ medium sized red chili, seeds removed and finely chopped 1 red onion, diced 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 tsp Thai red curry paste (or to taste) 1 lemon, juice of and zest of 1½ cups water (as needed) Fresh coriander to serve Fresh flat parsley to serve Method: Cook pappadums according to packet directions, try and use a spatula to cook

them into a ‘bowl like’ shape, drain on paper towel. Chop the pumpkin into small pieces. Using a saucepan, heat a little olive oil over a medium heat. Add the onion, cook until translucent (around 1 minute). Add the garlic, chili and paste, stir together around 30 seconds. Add in the pumpkin and stir through before adding the water and lentils. Reduce heat to a simmer and stir together. Gently stir as needed for around 10 minutes or until pumpkin is soft enough to mash and lentils are cooked. You can add more water if needed but you want this nice and thick so be careful not to make it too watery. Add in the spinach for another minute. Use a hand masher or a hand stick blender to create a smooth mixture. Add the lemon juice and zest for some

flavour zing. You can also add extra chili to taste at this point if desired. Spoon the mixture into prepared pappadums and top with fresh coriander or flat leaf parsley for those who do not like coriander. Note: Can be topped with natural yoghurt. If making for kids reduce or leave out chilli. Native to North America and cultivated for thousands of years, pumpkin is a vegetable high in both Vitamin C and B and contains Vitamins A, E and K, along with minerals – calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, zinc and manganese. Joel’s Spicy Bean and Veggie Soup One of my favourite comfort foods in winter is this hot and spicy soup. Hearty, chunky, very tasty, and so easy on your digestion. Better yet, there’s no onion or garlic in this recipe so it’s perfect for those who suffer IBS symptoms. SERVES 6 Ingredients (use organic where possible): 6-8 large tomatoes, diced 3 carrots, diced 3 celery stalks, diced 2 cobs of corn, kernels removed 3 cans of beans of your choice (I use a mix of black beans and red kidney beans, in BPA-free cans) 1-2 cups water Spice mix (I use 3 tsp paprika, 2 tsp cumin, 1 tsp coriander, 1 tsp oregano, ½ tsp turmeric plus salt and pepper) ¼ cup apple cider vinegar Method: Place everything in your slow cooker, stir to combine, and cook for six hours until ready. Serve with coconut yoghurt, corn chips, and top with diced avocado and cucumber with a squeeze of fresh lime.

nyone else craving a spicy curry or hearty casserole right about now? The cold winter months leave us craving warm comforting foods, but also have us reaching for heavier accompaniments (think refined white carbohydrates like pastas and white rice). Although these options might taste fantastic at the time, they can really do a number on your digestive system within 30-60 minutes of eating. Here’s a few simple guidelines I follow to keep my body warm and nourished, and my gut happy all winter long! Eat something raw with every meal It may sound counterintuitive to eat cold raw food when all we really want is something to warm us up. But pairing every hot cooked meal with something raw is a fantastic way to achieve digestive balance so you won’t feel the lingering effects of a heavy meal. For

breakfast I’ll always team porridge with some fresh fruit. A good nasi goreng is always better with some sliced tomato and cucumber on top. A rich hearty stew is just as tasty atop raw zucchini noodles. And a curry always features a leafy green and fresh herb salad at my place. Give this a try and I guarantee you’ll feel lighter and notice a difference in your gut. Smart and simple swaps My ‘half and half’ rule involves cooking the foods you love and enjoy, but replacing half of the portion with a more gut-friendly alternative. Want to eat white rice? Add a cup of quinoa when cooking the rice to reduce the sugar spike in your bloodstream. Want to enjoy a Bolognese sauce? Lemon Coconut Cashew Collagen Fudge RECIPE TABITHA LEE

T

his is super quick and easy. So it’s perfect if you are short on time as you can whip up in 15 minutes. This snack gives you energy and with the added collagen you are being kind to your gut too. Just an extra way to get that daily dose of collagen in.

Ingredients: 1 cup raw cashews ½ cup plain collagen (your collagen of choice) 3 heaped tbsp raw honey 1 tsp vanilla ¼ tsp sea salt 1½ heaped tbsp lemon rind 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice ⅓ cup desiccated coconut 4 tbsp desiccated coconut, extra Method: Line a 10cm x 15cm container with baking paper and place aside.

Now the easy bit. Throw everything into a very high-speed blender like a Vitamix, except the 4 tbsp extra coconut, and blend on medium to high using the tamper stick to press into the blades. The mixture is very thick and sticky, so this is important. Turn to high speed and as if you were making a smooth nut butter continue until smooth. Do this in intervals so the mixture doesn’t get too hot. Once smooth, stir through 3 tbsp of the extra coconut. With damp hands, press onto the base evenly and sprinkle remaining 1 tbsp coconut. Place into the freezer for 2 hours. Cut into bars or squares. Store in the fridge. Makes 6 bars or 12 squares. Note: if you have a Thermomix, you may need to double mix to have ‘smooth sailing’ with blending. Looking forward to sharing my

Spiced Chai and Coconut Quinoa Porridge topped with Apple and Caramel Sauce!! Recipe BEN PARSONS

Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Sugar Free, 100% Vegan – Serves 2 Ingredients: PORRIDGE 1 cup quinoa (you can use white, black or red; make sure to soak the quinoa in 3 cups of water the night before) 1 tbsp coconut sugar 1 tbsp cinnamon ¼ cup of raisins, Goji berries or golden berries 2cm grated ginger ½ tsp ground star anise, ground cardamom, ground cloves and ground nutmeg 400ml coconut milk

CARAMEL SAUCE 200g unhulled tahini 150g coconut nectar 100g coconut oil 1 pinch of Himalayan sea salt 2cm fresh vanilla bean or natural stevia vanilla drops Method: PORRIDGE Put all ingredients into a pot and cook on the stove over a medium heat for 10 minutes then simmer on low for another 10 minutes. You should have a beautiful creamy porridge consistency. While the porridge is cooking, grate a large apple, chop up 1-2 bananas and prepare your caramel sauce!!

CARAMEL SAUCE Put all ingredients into a food processor or a blender and blend for a few seconds or you can use a small bowl and a fork and mix it by hand for a few minutes until you have a creamy caramel sauce. Serving suggestions: Fill porridge into bowls and top with banana, apple and a healthy drizzle of caramel sauce. We also love adding a large spoon of probiotic born cultured coconut yoghurt. gifting plants

A

beautiful edible garden doesn’t have to cost the Earth. Fill your landscape with luscious diversity – vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruits – without having to buy a plant. Most of the plants in my permaculture garden have come from cuttings and seeds from community gardens, friends and neighbours, and I love passing the gift on. Over the years, I’ve shared thousands of cuttings from my garden, and the regular trimming helps make the plants healthier with new growth. This simple way of gardening comes from a very long tradition. Taking cuttings and saving seeds is how people have nurtured and shared plants for thousands of years. It’s a great skill to cultivate – one that reveals the wonders of garden abundance. It’s surprisingly easy to grow many plants from cuttings and start saving seeds. Here are a few to get you going: Peas Saving pea seeds is satisfying for the novice seed-saver. Just let some of

the pea pods go fully dry and brown on your vine, and that’s it, you have some pea seeds ready to share and plant next season! Make sure you tag the healthiest pods on the healthiest plant for saving and let your family know, as it’s tempting to eat those delicious looking pods right there in the garden. Rosemary One of the world’s favourite herbs, rosemary is a woody perennial from the Mediterranean. It’s great in pots, garden beds and even hedges. Both leaves and flowers are edible, and the stems can be used as BBQ skewers. To make a new plant, take a 10-20cm cutting, remove the bottom leaves and plant it straight into the soil. By giving one plant a trim, you can make dozens of new plants to share. Calendula Calendula is an easy-to-grow medicinal herb. Its orange and yellow flowers brighten up any garden. The petals are lovely in salads, rice, soups, stews and baking, or to a make a tea, home-made skin lotion, hair rinse and

eyewash. Eat the young leaves too. To save calendula seeds, collect dried flowers from the plant. Gently pull them apart, and you will find the seeds. Let some self-seed in your garden and collect the rest to share with others. The bonus is that taking the dead flowers off makes calendula flower for longer. Figs Have you ever tasted fresh figs from the tree? They’re so tender and delicious and have a gorgeous colour. Figs are a wonderfully hardy fruit tree for home gardens and grow really well from cuttings, so they’re great for beginner gardeners. Cut a 20cm branch about the thickness of your thumb, or a growing tip, and just pot it up. In a couple of weeks, a fig cutting will sprout new roots. So next time you go walking or visiting, take some plant gifts to share, and a pair of secateurs, an empty bag and envelopes to collect cuttings and seeds everywhere! www.moraggamble.com

H

ow wonderful is it when you pass a stranger and you give them a smile, and it is returned? The simple art of giving and receiving. I taught my children a simple mantra when they were young. If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours. The simple delight they would share with me, telling me that it really works; saying “I smiled at that lady Mummy, and she smiled back!” Quite often, we are also very good at giving compliments to people, which can often make their day. However, how comfortable are you when you receive a compliment? It’s quite an art to be able to graciously accept a compliment, smile and say thank you. It is a beautiful exchange of energy between two people. This same energy works with your money as well. Sometimes money is tight, and the budget just does not stretch far enough to be able to help others. Yet how often have we been

confronted with a very worthy cause to help children or animals, or those less fortunate than ourselves? Somehow, we find a few dollars to be able to assist. I have been a supporter of the Children First Foundation for many years. The foundation helps children from all over the world with life-saving and lifechanging operations, bringing them to Australia for the operations and ongoing care. I feel so blessed to have been able to contribute to this worthwhile cause. Over the years, I have met with many of the children, and seen in person, the amazing changes which have given them new direction and confidence in life. I feel honoured to have spent time helping at the farm in Victoria, where the children stay to prepare and recover. I also feel very blessed that over the past 19 years in business, I have been gifted the trust of my clients to look after their financial wellbeing. It’s a mutual relationship of giving and receiving. I assist clients to take ownership of the

direction of their lives and with new skills and knowledge they can achieve their goals and dreams. We work on how much they need to live on to comfortably pay the bills when they arrive. We structure long-term savings and investment plans and help them transition from working so hard all their lives, to enjoying the next chapter in retirement. When it comes to money,

should you give?

E

verything in nature is flowing with a balance that is vital to your growth and expansion. Giving and receiving is part of that flow. However, too many people (particularly women) are so busy giving to everyone else that they fail to give to the most important person of all – themselves. You may think that by giving you’ll be blessed and feel fulfilment and joy (which I’m sure you do), but if you’re only giving and not receiving, you’re stopping the never-ending flow. By not allowing yourself to receive, you are putting up a barrier for more good to flow to you. Everything is energy, everything is in a constant state of movement, and everything is flowing. You must be open to receive everything – more love, money, friendship, compliments, health, time, happiness, laughter – more of everything. The more you receive, the more you can give! The other downside of giving all the time is you can become someone

else’s support – they rely on you instead of finding their own feet and taking responsibility for themselves. They expect (maybe at a subconscious level) that you’ll rescue them. You’re hindering their growth by giving (your time, energy, money) ALL the time. If we go through life without obstacles, it stunts us. We don’t become as resilient as we could be. Giving and receiving can be challenging when it comes to money, especially if you’re in a position to help others. When you have more, you naturally want to give more to ease the burden on others, particularly those close to you. However, you’ll empower them even more if you allow them to create for themselves. Instead of helping those you love for a day and then watching them continue to struggle, give them knowledge, support and encouragement, and you’ll help them transform their life. I learnt this the hard way, through

receiving (borrowing) money from others. It wasn’t until I had $100,000 of debt, was on welfare with no-one to turn to and couldn’t borrow any more from anyone that I took total responsibility. Not only for where I was but for making sure I changed my circumstances. I took control of my financial situation. By applying all I’d learnt, things completely transformed for me and I went from welfare to millionaire. Watching people struggle financially can be challenging if you’ve been in that position yourself because you don’t want others to experience it. You just want to help; you want to give, and you want to ease their pain. My advice is to definitely give, just don’t give a handout, give a hand up. I

have something really cool to share about gifting and receiving. It’s my point of view, and it gives me a lot of joy to share it! Being a deep soul searcher in both my personal and professional life I’ve discovered this. All the desires we could ever desire or imagine are already programmed into our heart. Enough to last us a lifetime, or lifetimes even. These desires are endless, and they are excited to be received by us just as much as we are excited to receive them. There’s a way we can endlessly receive our heart’s desires, automatically, consistently and effortlessly. It goes like this. Instead of focusing on the outcome or what you’re going to get after you gift something, focus on the feeling you feel in gifting it. Put your awareness onto the ‘joy’ you feel when choosing to gift something. Let go of all outcomes and expectations, giving you that feeling. All of them! Very simple to say and

understand, but not easy to do, particularly in your home and with family members! Focusing on the joy will make you accountable for your choice in gifting. However, the magic happens when you put your awareness and focus on the gifting, and find joy there. This creates a space. This space acts like a giant energy magnet that can tune in and attract the endless desires in your heart. Bringing them to you in a synchronistic flow. How cool is that! After the energy magnet tunes into your heart, a frequency goes out into the universe. This frequency will begin to connect you to all the things, people and places required, making the receiving easy, light and fun. The more joy or gratitude you can feel when you choose to gift something, the bigger your space and the stronger and more powerful your magnet. And you don’t really have to focus a lot on what you desire. It’s already programmed into your heart.

What gets in the way of this process effortlessly working, are expectations of outcomes, projections, and you desiring something that you’ve been conditioned to want rather than what is in alignment with your heart. How do you know if you have expectations, could be projecting or are out of alignment? Your body will let you know. ALL the time! Either through annoying physical pains/issues or through uncomfortable emotions. Your job is to listen to your body and untangle your emotions. This is the work! This work is internal and requires your authentic awareness to stay on the choice and joy of whatever it is you choose to gift. Not the expected or imagined outcome you’re anticipating. So, practise focusing on the joy and gratitude of being able to gift. As well as from the choice of gifting. no fear in love

any know the philosophy of gifting and how it returns blessings to the bestower. There is also a component many may miss, or not be aware of, when implementing the practice of gifting. It’s the concept that there is ‘only one’; that is, only one dreamer dreaming this ‘reality’. Reality being the whole with a schism, broken into billions of perceptions. With this understanding, would we not all gift others as often as possible? Not to reap rewards of this world personally, yet knowing when we truly gift, we allow ease for another, which ultimately has the ability to awaken all of us from the dream. To gift another with an expectation of receiving rewards means the gift can be lost for all involved. When we gift, knowing an offering has the ability to spark awareness and creativity in another without any expectation, we

will naturally see the world begin to change. This can seem a ‘catch 22’ when we know as we gift, we receive. But the exit from this catch is the willingness to wholeheartedly hold the intention, and wish to create goodness in the life experience of another – with no expectations of rewards returning. Gifts are not made through bodies if they be truly gifted and received. Only the mind can value, and only the mind decides on what it would gift and receive. Once we truly gift another, the joy within creates the golden light of sight, which then becomes established within. To enjoy this each day, we can capture the essence by creating a word expressing our individual experience or emotion. When we would like to embody the feeling of true gifting at any moment, we can think of this word and the experience will be conjured up. This can assist when feelings of isolation or sadness become overwhelming. Be

sure this word is not a word that already exists. Zisam is my word created over 30 years ago. Gifting is not about materialism. With the gift of forgiveness, we receive new sight; a different vision with the gentle glow of peace that shines on everything. Here the gift is to both entities. The receiver becomes the saviour, with new vision to look past all illusions (the obstacle of differing perspectives). Our gifts of love may be us holding our hand out – the union of friendship with one who we thought has hurt us. The hurt is an illusion which makes us a prisoner in separation. The hand held out leads both to be made free in the paradise of union. See another as sinless and there can be no fear in you. spent a number of very early years thinking about this very topic. Trying to crack that code, analysing, researching, understanding, and I’ve lost count with the number of rabbit holes I went down in search of ‘The Secret Of Life’ (you really need to say that in an epic voice). Over my years of tapping into the spirit realm as a psychic medium, I have been privy to some of the most deliciously wonderful conversations with spirit. I have asked spirit directly how I can shift from having a Groundhog Day existence to having a mind-blowing, fun-filled experience on the earthly plane. At our soul level, our highest self, we actually do know; but knowing and not doing is what keeps us in that safe place of nongrowth. Without growth, our perception will not change. Our perception creates our reality.

H

ave you ever given someone a compliment and they fobbed it off? Or a gift of something you thought was really special, but it wasn’t received as you’d hoped? It doesn’t feel good, does it? How well do you receive? In the 5 Love Languages, Gary Chapman writes that each of us leans towards one or two love languages. Go online and do the test to see what language you score higher in – I guarantee that you and your partner will be different. This is a great way to get to know how your partner ‘receives’. Life doesn’t always come in the package we want. There are so many factors that shape us, and in this process, we develop our own definition of giving and receiving. That definition or filter can sometimes limit the spectrum of our lives and love itself. In my work with couples, I see many who feel frozen when it comes to physical intimacy. Our past experiences can lead to a shutdown to touch and

can be associated with trauma for many. Very few of us have a secure relationship with touch. Often for women, in their mind, touch leads to sex. If they don’t want it, aren’t ready for it or need longer to warm up than have been given in the past, it can be really hard to receive what a partner is giving. The woman can have a freeze response, which triggers some damaging misconceptions. The term ‘she’s frigid’ is the saddest saying I’ve heard because it’s not ever true. She’s not frigid; a woman’s body is not frigid. If you recognise yourself or your partner in my words, here are a few tips about touch: • Let go of the goal of ‘getting’ or receiving anything yourself. • Wait for the invitation from the body. Don’t launch towards their body, relax yourself first. Your bodies will start to resonate together. • Relaxation encourages expansion

and openness. Moving too quickly causes contraction and closing. • Approach their skin like it’s a precious gift – tender and attentive. • Imagine love pouring from your heart down through your arms to your fingertips. • For the receiver, connect more with your own body – sink deep into it. Often your body has not been ‘your own’. • Be truthful – “I need more time”, “Hang on, I just need to relax more before we go further”. This pathway through receiving and giving creates love, and expands your life and love instead of leading to misunderstanding, conflict and estrangement. The

gift of giving

ithin the Buddhist dharma teachings it is shown that true and lasting happiness comes when we are giving to others, helping others, doing for others – gifting. The essence of a gift is to give something of self, whether it is material, emotional or mental, in whichever form it may take, it is a giving of something. The authenticity of giving is to practise this act without any expectation or desire for a return, just because it feels right and because you can. To recognise your self in a position of being able to give to another is in itself a gift. Some may hold back from giving due to lack of self-belief or self-worth. You may even know of materially wealthy people who are stingy with their money or possessions, and with that comes feelings of isolation and depression. A talented and gifted artist may be holding back on sharing their work with

the world out of fear or insecurity of what others might think. And now both the artist and the potential receiver of this unique art are losing. Holding on for self-alone is not a gift for anyone. So when the very act of giving creates natural and true happiness, who or what is the giver and the receiver? One cannot exist without the other. This is an interconnected, interdependent natural process of life and an absolute lore of nature. To learn anything about anything, it is always wise to look to Mother Nature. Nature lives with the utmost integrity, purpose, flow, and with an intelligence beyond that which can never be fully understood by the human intellect. The most sophisticated human creations, such as plastics, technology, machinery and pills are either trying to mimic use or dominate nature, and therefore they need her. Nature’s gift to us is to enhance our wellbeing, to provide nourishment,

medicine, energy, aliveness and nurture. We constantly receive this gift through our five physical senses – the taste of food, the smell of flowers, the vision of her glorious landscape, the sound of bird songs, feeling our feet on the ground. Although we may be managing a balancing act when it comes to giving back to nature at this time, our very existence is allowing nature’s creation to unfold just as it should. Nature’s unadulterated essence manifests without ulterior motive. She shows us that the purpose of life is to be alive, and to be alive is to participate in the cycles of life. Whether we stop to smell the roses or show our appreciation, we are being gifted right now in this very moment. let love in?

with clients who struggled in their relationship or finding love. Some people keep attracting the same kind of partner or situations, while others seem to come up against the same problems in their long-term relationships over and over again. Everyone wants to find someone and have a relationship where they can be themselves, be loved unconditionally for who they are and be with someone they love, respect and admire. We all have different meanings and experiences of what love is; indeed, love has no limits, and it has different meanings for everyone. I often work with beautiful empathic Souls who have big hearts. Yet, when it comes to letting love in, they seem to struggle. Empaths are Souls who feel the feelings, hurts and pains of others as if they were their own. Most have had a long journey as a Soul, and often have unresolved past-life, inner child and other traumatic issues with which they may still struggle. Although they have

s a Soul, we travel through time and space, having experiences life after life. We come through into our families, and we have different experiences based on our Soul’s learning path. Some of these lessons are new in this lifetime, some we have been attempting to work through for some time. We experience pain, challenges, loss and atrocities. We work through some of these, and others we do not. The experiences and feelings we have not been able to transcend completely sit within us – mentally, emotionally and energetically – life after life until we can transcend them. Sometimes, these incomplete experiences and feelings manifest physically with various physical challenges and illnesses. These unprocessed pains and lessons are what I have termed ‘love blocks’. These love blocks prevent us from letting love in and giving it out. For over a decade, I have sat

had a long and tough journey, many still put the needs of others before their own. earing about the transformational work of AnneMarie Tipper and Sarah Rosborg, who have saved the lives of hundreds of children in Kenya through their charity Rafiki Mwema (which means ‘Loyal Friend’), pulled at Sonya’s heartstrings. The impact of sexual abuse and the profound lack of care and support for young girls in Kenya who experience abuse is heartbreaking, compounded by the stigma that follows. They have girls as young as two years old with them and teenagers who are now 15. Sarah and Anne-Marie work with families in the communities, and with schools, churches, villages and 20

Sonya is quick to point out that while she may be jaded and believe most humans are ‘full of it’, it’s good intentions, ideas and words that matter. “KINDNESS has a cost,” she shared. “Either your time, your convenience or your money.”

Every month ‘Eco by Sonya’ donate to Rafiki Mwema from the profits of their hand cream. These funds go directly into their monthly running costs, but they don’t always make ends meet. They generally receive $5-$50 a month from each sponsorship and their costs are approximately $40,000 a month, so they can struggle to meet this target. ‘Receiving’ can be a challenge for us at this time on our planet, whether we are an individual, organisation or charity. Receiving funds from people who place their trust in you and your work, is about allowing others to contribute, so that you can keep being an invitation and catalyst for change. “To give your hard-earned money to people who are doing work on the other side of the world is a huge gift that we will never take for granted. We will honour the money we are given and the hard work that it took to get the funds. We will always use it wisely and

with the children’s well-being in mind,” said Sarah and Anne-Marie. Sonya shares, “It’s a spiritual currency in my book.” As I found out more about the work Sarah and Anne-Marie were offering, it was clear it was very diverse, reaching some of the most disadvantaged groups of people in countries like India, Romania and Africa. And in Australia, they shared their efforts with the safe courtroom project for children in Kenya. After devoting their lives to giving, I asked the ladies what they do to give back to themselves and what self-care practices they have in place for personal sustainability. “Over the years, I have realised that my version of self-care is hibernating. I am a homebody, and I tend to hide for days/weeks/months. I have a wonderful group of friends that understand me and my funny ways and don’t question it. They understand when I don’t come to events and don’t ever question our friendship. They know that I love my loved ones with everything and even if they don’t hear from me and I say ‘no’ to most social events, that just means I need time to recharge,” said Sarah. Anne-Marie added, “My self-care is pretty mixed; I adore spending time with family, friends and those I love. I get so much back from being around my grandchildren and family. But I also love going for walks and just enjoying the world around me. I’m not really like Sarah, as I LOVE speaking at functions!” Sonya shared, “I’m exactly the same as Sarah. I say ‘no’ to all engagements, and I withdraw to my home. Sarah knows how hard it is for me to go to a function too. She’s expecting me at one in a few weeks… ha-ha. I recently joined a gym for my physical stress, and I pray for my spiritual and mental health. o me personally, GIVING IS BETTER. It’s a spiritual law. I didn’t make it but I’m certainly grateful I understand it. The more you give, the more your world and everything in it expands. Receiving the gift of a

‘healing’ dream during COVID-19

A

dream made it crystal clear that my decision to stop working during the coronavirus pandemic was the right one, even though I faced the prospect of losing income. COVID-19 has turned our lives upside down, disrupting our routines at almost every level. And for me, the outbreak came just a few weeks after I’d started a casual job following many months of searching. The new role seemed perfect: interesting work, flexible hours, decent money and friendly people. But one of the managers gave me a hard time from the first day. He showed irritation and impatience as I struggled to come to terms with the company’s cumbersome computer system, despite me feeling I was giving my very best. I pulled the manager aside for a heart-to-heart discussion. At first, he was angry and defiant as I questioned

his abrasive behaviour. But when I earnestly asked him to treat me as he’d like to be treated so I could serve him better, the message seemed to get through, and relations improved. Soon after, a positive test for coronavirus was reported in our office. Many of the staff had already begun working from home, but my request to join them remotely was turned down due to logistical problems. I suggested solutions but was unable to get them to budge. So, following my inner guidance or intuition, I informed my big boss that I wouldn’t feel comfortable coming into the office the following week and asked to be taken off the roster. A few days later, I had a vivid dream. I was back in the office – to submit my death certificate! I was required to fill out a form and put it into a box. I bumped into the manager – the one I’d had some problems with – and joked, “You were the death of me!” We

both laughed, and there was harmony and goodwill between us. My interpretation of the dream was two-fold. By not going into the office as the pandemic worsened, I may have avoided becoming seriously ill. It could also have meant that my new casual job had ‘died’ due to my decision to stay at home. I was disappointed about losing work but pleased to be reminded in the dream that a once fractious relationship with the manager was now harmonious. In the teachings of Eckankar, we believe that dreams are a gift. They can be both prophetic and instructional, predicting the future while telling us what is really going on in any situation. Eden Method:

The gift that keeps giving

our energies are as unique as a snowflake! They are in constant flux, interacting with others around you, your environment, and responding to your thoughts and intentions. As an Eden Method Advanced Practitioner, I work with nine energy systems. Some may be familiar to you, such as chakras, aura and meridians. Others are not so well known, such as electrics, Celtic weave, basic grid, triple warmer, radiant circuits and five rhythms. When I offer classes, students are invited to unwrap the gifts of this healing modality in a safe and nurturing environment. I have always thought of this modality as the ‘gift that keeps giving’ because my goal as a practitioner and teacher is to empower clients and students with knowledge about their energy systems and teach them simple, easy-to-learn techniques to support their energies and wellbeing

daily. The giving and receiving is truly life-giving, as they now have these tools to support them for life! Clients and students alike have experienced the empowerment that comes from being able to look into their Eden Method ‘toolkit’ and apply one or two techniques in the moment to help themselves or a loved one. To witness this empowerment is truly a gift on so many levels, and evokes a deep sense of gratitude for this work. Many people, especially women, often give rather than receive as the primary caregivers for their family. Self-care is not selfish as we have more to offer others when we take care of ourselves first. I would like to share three simple techniques from Donna Eden’s work to help engage your radiant circuits, which are pathways to joy and help instil strength, resilience, healing and vitality in the body: • Trace nine hearts over your body:

three at your face, three over your trunk, and three over your legs. Smile as you breathe in deeply through your nose and exhale through your mouth. You can also do this technique over your child after tucking them into bed as a beautiful night-time ritual. • Anything that helps make space in the body, such as stretching or yoga. • Dance to figure eights. Your energies are filled with figure-eight patterns and dancing while moving your hands and hips in figure-eight movements supports and enhances your energies and activates your radiant circuits. Put on your favourite music and have fun with it – laughing naturally activates these circuits! Many became popular through the 2006 movie ‘The Secret’. These principles of the law of attraction have gained popularity ever since. Up until now it has all been concepts, theories and unpredictable results, but what is being called for now, in this pivotal year of 2020, is a whole new approach.

have a question for you. Do you in any way, shape or form believe in the concept (or spiritual truth) that we are all one? That we are sovereign beings? Do you believe that we are the creator of our own reality and that when we ask, it is given? Have you spent time learning or teaching the principles of the law of attraction and manifesting yourself or do you know a coach who teaches these concepts? This year and through what has been created into the world, we are being asked to move away from learning these concepts and from trying to make them work for us and to, instead, become one with them. And it’s not easy, is it? First we must accept full and total responsibility (without blame) for what we are creating… even if that means we see that we have created the current circumstances in our life and in the world – which might even include the pandemic and the restrictions we now find ourselves under. And even if that might include those systems and groups of people who might be seeming to have created this in order to have humanity fall back into fear and be more easily controlled as some of the so called ‘conspiracy theories’ floating around might suggest. Even if that may also include those people who made you feel unworthy, who judged you and who created trauma in your life.

We are very quick to take ownership of the good things that happen in our life as we say to others, “look what I manifested, as the creator of my reality I created this amazing partner, a new car, my dream home.” In all honesty, if we accept 100% responsibility for that which we consider to be ‘good’ then we must also accept 100% responsibility for its opposite and what we might call ‘bad’. If we are indeed all one, then there cannot be such a thing as good or bad, positive or negative, them or me. These are merely perceptions that come from what you think and believe you KNOW about everything, including yourself and everything else. If we are all one then everything we KNOW is simply our perception, from what we have learned and/ or experienced in the past or are imaging into the future. An adoptee’s journey of

learning to receive

W

e have all heard that you should learn to receive more and open your heart to others. It sounds simple enough when it rolls off the tongue; yet, for those who have been adopted, it is one of the hardest things to do. It is a well-known fact that our core belief systems are formed in the first seven years of our life. Every mother knows there is a bond that develops between mother and baby well before birth. Spending nine months inside the womb hearing her voice and feeling her love, and then being placed into a cold crib straight after birth with no one to comfort your cries, has left an emotional scar on most adoptees. Many believe that if they were not worthy enough to receive their mother’s love, then no-one else will find them worthy.

My adoption journey was a little different. I had three mothers while under the age of three, and this belief was even more ingrained. As a child, each fortnight my grandmother would take my two brothers and me to the toy shop and buy them a toy matchbox car, and I would receive nothing. Like most other adoptees I have spoken to, I became the martyr by always doing for others and never allowing others to do for me – never truly allowing others to get close to me in case they left. I lived my life behind many masks and was excellent at being everything others wanted me to be for many years. This changed when I heard someone say that those who come into this world to be adopted are truly special souls, as they have come here

to master the lesson of abandonment. This was the catalyst for me to learn to receive from others, slowly take off the masks and, more importantly, open my heart to fully receive from those who wish to give to me without any conditions. So I ask you to think about this the next time you go to tell someone that they should learn to receive more and open their heart to others or judge them as being cold. What is the

best gift to yourself?

W

ho would have thought that something like social distancing would ever be implemented globally? Social interaction is innate in humans, and gifting and receiving is part of it. There has been a dramatic detrimental effect on mental health in recent weeks, with depression and anxiety skyrocketing. One of the worst possible tortures that someone could endure is solitary confinement. It creates intense anxiety with mental repercussions, as well as physical symptoms like hypertension, headaches, heart palpitations and dizziness. When we are at our lowest, exhausted and feeling disconnected, how nice it is to receive an unexpected gift, and even nicer when you see the

expression of the person receiving that gift. It creates certain human emotions, a contagious joy, like crying from feelings that are uncontrollable when gifted from family or friends. Sometimes it is not even something material, but an experience or even a good talk with a friend that you haven’t seen for a while. I think one of the best gifts you can give or receive is social interaction in moments of difficulties when a simple chat can brighten the future. This has been the case with some of my friends in Spain, where rigorous lockdown has had a significant mental toll, to the point of suicidal ideation. Thanks to technology, we can keep in touch and receive that call, making a vast difference to our outlook, even in these hard times. I believe there should be a balance

between gifting and receiving. There are some people who are givers, without realising. I think this can sometimes drain you, particularly when you are a health worker. It is well described as the Burnout Syndrome in medical professionals from the exposure of chronic stress, when we try to give as much as possible to get the best outcome for our patients. An example of an invaluable gift is to receive a letter with a few words of recognition and positive feedback from someone you have helped. Again, it is something that is not material but can create such a feeling of fulfilment. W

inter is well and truly here. This is the best time of year for bacteria and viruses to thrive as they usually die in the heat, which is why our bodies produce a fever to try and remove the bacteria or illness from our system. Homeopathy is unique in its healing mechanism as it supports the body by triggering self-healing, which means long-term use of homeopathy builds the body’s immunity and vital force (or ‘Chi’). By building the vitality and reliance of the body, it can more vigorously fight against colds and flu. One study published in the European Journal of Pharmacology showed that homeopathic medicine, Silicea, stimulated macrophages (macrophages are a part of the body’s immune system that engulf bacteria and foreign substances). Homeopathic preparations do not just boost the body’s immune

system, they also calm it when this is necessary for the individual to heal. For example, those who have autoimmune ailments suffer from the body immune system being overactive. A homeopathic remedy selection is based on the principle of ‘like cures like’. This means that a remedy is selected according to the symptoms and picture state that the person presents. Each of our preparations has a different picture state, and we match that to the individual picture state. When someone comes in showing symptoms of what might be a cold, each person will present this differently. One person may have a runny nose while another will have congestion, so both will get different preparations. Here are the symptom picture states of three common remedies: Aconite: The first stage of symptoms, such as a dry cough, slight fever,

earache, runny nose. There is a sudden onset after being outside in the cold. Anas Barb: Specially used for immune support during flu season. It is taken fortnightly or monthly, but can also be used for the onset of flu-like symptoms such as weakness of muscles, headache and fever/chills. Pulsatilla: Sticky eyelids, yellow, green mucus associated with colds. Clingy, weepy moods and desiring company; better for fresh air and being outside. This is a great one for little kids as they usefully present this way. You should also be aware of your gut health as this houses 80% of our immune system. odern fast-paced living may have its advantages but it certainly comes with its challenges for many. More and more people are experiencing the negative effects of environmental stressors such as chemicals and electromagnetic fields than ever before. Living with an environmental sensitivity impacts every aspect of a person’s well-being so it becomes imperative to find joy and expansion in the face of limitation. I’ve personally used these helpful steps throughout my own healing to achieve this: 1. Minimising exposure is essential. When constantly dealing with symptoms, the body remains in fight/ flight mode and simply doesn’t get the chance to rest, detoxify and heal. Most people have already created a healthier low chemical/mould/EMF home, or are at least well on their way. The real challenge exists outside the home where there is little control over the environment. It’s about finding places that are well-tolerated. Sometimes you have to say “no” to certain things such

as large scale events and that’s OK. You need to do what’s right for you. 2. We all deserve a rich, fulfilling life and so much more than what is merely ‘tolerated’. Speaking openly about environmental sensitivities will go a long way towards the acknowledgment, acceptance and support that’s truly needed, as well as removing any stigma that’s involved. Making adjustments is really no different from someone taking precautions with a bad back, a food allergy or any other condition that requires consideration. Having this perspective makes it much easier to replace apologising with confidently requesting. 3. Build yourself up in every way possible with healthy hydration, diet and lifestyle to enhance strength and resiliency; physically, mentally and emotionally. 4. Surround yourself with positive people who are thoughtful of your needs, even though they may not fully understand. Respect makes a big difference.

5. A well-trained integrative doctor, qualified in both conventional and complimentary medicine, will understand. They will help get your health back on track, increase your knowledge and work towards real solutions. An experienced building biologist is another expert to call upon when needed. 6. Regular meditation relaxes the nervous system, encourages nonjudgmental observation and brings a deeper clarity and appreciation of who you are, where you are right now and the steps to take moving forward. 7. Hypothyroid: When your thyroid speaks, but your GP is not listening WORDS MIRIAM YOUNG

I

meet many women, who are at their wits’ end, having been given the allclear by their GP, regarding their latest TSH result. “Your TSH is normal, it’s all part of getting older, and you do have three kids.” And so she goes back home, she’s worn out, deeply fatigued and putting on weight daily it seems. Her memory and concentration is not what it used to be and it’s making her feel depressed. Strictly speaking TSH is actually not a thyroid hormone at all. It stands for Thyroid Stimulating Hormone and is produced in the brain by the pituitary gland. This release of TSH stimulates the thyroid to produce thyroid hormone, T4. T4 then, given the correct nutrients, will convert to T3. T3 is the thyroid hormone that produces energy, increases metabolism and stimulates weight loss. Many doctors, may never request T4 or T3 bloods, but these two markers are essential to understanding a very

important part of the thyroid jigsaw puzzle. Fatigue, increased sensitivity to cold, unexplained weight gain, high cholesterol, heavy/irregular periods, thinning hair, impaired memory and enlarged thyroid gland are symptoms common in people who suffer from hypothyroidism. If you recognise yourself in some of these symptoms, it is highly recommended you request a comprehensive thyroid blood panel. If your local GP does not understand the need for thorough thyroid testing, then your complementary health care provider will be able to request these bloods: Thyroid Blood Panel TSH, T4, T3, Reverse T3, Thyroid AntiPeroxidase, Thyroglobulin, TRABS, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, and Iodine Loading. Reverse T3 can be over-elevated in a client with high stress levels and adrenal fatigue. Instead of T4 converting to the active form of thyroid

hormone T3, it may shunt in the opposite direction, to the inactive form, Reverse T3. This client will be extremely tired as Reverse T3 in the body, does nothing. Thyroid Anti-Peroxidase and Thyroglobulin are both anti-bodies that will be raised in the case of an auto-immune thyroid condition called Hashimoto’s. As part of a thyroid panel, ‘Iodine Loading’ also needs to be completed. This tests for stored iodine, and is very different to ‘Spot Iodine’ which merely tests for circulating iodine levels. The Oligoscan is able to perform quick and precise analysis of the minerals and heavy metals in the tissues of a client and is performed in-clinic. global changes,” – (Wellbeing Astrology, 2020). Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system and is associated with growth and liberal ideas. It is a visionary for the greater expansion of progressive ideas. Saturn is the Lord of Time and the planet of traditions and elders. At its essence, Saturn is form and seeks to give us a structure that lays down rules and regulations. Pluto is the planet of the underworld, transformation and the fundamental evolution of the soul, and represents the transfer from life to death and back again. An English astrologer said of the 2020 line-up, “Things will never be the same again. We can expect some major crisis which will intensify the demise of the current systems and bring societychanging upheaval.” The combination’s energy this year is different each time they align, as we had a Saturn/Pluto conjunction on 12-13 January; Jupiter/ Pluto on 5 April, which comes again on 30 June and finally 12 November; and Jupiter/Saturn together on 22 December. As Mars goes into Aries, it squares Jupiter on 5 August, Pluto on 13 August and Saturn on 25 August. All of these together create huge shift patterns that will transform the way we look at finance, government, business and all systems we currently take for granted. The January Capricorn line-up has

planets Mercury, Pluto and Saturn, asteroid Ceres and the Sun. Ceres is the mother who looks after the Earth and harvests. Ceres here means we are now going to have to deal on a vast scale with what doesn’t work sustainably and will involve a massive overhaul that takes us to the brinks – a makeover of our attitudes to the Earth. Interestingly, the shutdown of most societies has caused a massive drop in pollution around the globe and changed the pace of life everywhere. From an esoteric point of view, Ceres, among other things, rules the ancient rites involved in the death passage. In the words of Demetra George (author of Asteroid Goddesses), “Ceres as the Goddess of Death functions as the matrix which receives the dead for rebirth, and the entrance to rebirth is through the womb.” We are in the midst of the death and rebirth of a selfish global materialist system currently ruling the planet. So it’s no coincidence Earth Mother Ceres is involved. The Year of the Metal Rat began on 25 January 2020 and goes through until February 2021. The Rat year is one of change and reform. In traditional mythology, the Rat bears and assists the Indian god Ganesha. Ganesha is the remover of obstacles, the elephantheaded Hindu god of beginnings who is traditionally worshipped before any major new enterprise.

In other cultures, the rat appears as the bearer of illness and our history is full of images of rats as mankind’s worst fear, detested and reviled as a creature of the plague and disease. We now have a ‘plague’ of a virus that seems to have no current mainstream cure, having already taken the lives of some 300,000 people at the time of this writing. One thing about the rat is that it takes items and stores them in its nest. What did us humans do when confronted with the virus? We went out and bought bulk toilet paper and stored it in our nests! A final planetary mention is important. Saturn, in its 28-year cycle, soon moves from Capricorn into Aquarius, the sign of humanity and inventive changes. It shifts during part of 2020 (from March to June), then in midDecember both Saturn and Jupiter move into Aquarius together. They jointly rule financial cycles. In Aquarius, Jupiter opens a broader vision for humanity, while Saturn asks how we can make a better and more equal future for all. We will look back to older traditions to salvage what works. Aquarius wants systems and laws to be equitable for everyone, so expect great reforms from 2021. What do animals gift that you may not be receiving? WORDS VIV ADCOCK

G

ifting and receiving offers a possibility and different way of being that, if we acknowledge and allow it, can transform how we interact, not just with animals, but with people and our entire life. We tend to gift to and receive from our animals without a second thought. Do we do that with people? Some of us two-legged beings are great at gifting, but the receiving part may require more presence. Have you ever been aware of refusing to

receive from a person so you don’t feel obligated? Could the animal world invite and cultivate a different, more conscious way for us to flex our muscle of receiving? In human reality, gifting and receiving are often mixed up with the energies of ‘give and take’. The ‘give and take’ program is like having a scoreboard in the back of your mind that tots up the exchanges of interactions; that is, who owes who what. None of this exists in the animal kingdom. As the birds sing and the bees buzz, there is a simultaneity of elegance, effortlessness and joy that when we observe, can create in us a sense of peace, wonderment and connection. The animal kingdom is constantly offering the incredible visual and visceral experience of gifting and receiving. Does your cat ever have a calculator out as it purrs away in your lap, or does your dog count the number of licks and tail wags it gives in appreciation for you arriving home? Do your happy hormones increase and your heart melt when you see the smile on your dog’s face, feel your cat rub around your legs or even hear your

horse whinny at your presence? How often do we smile and laugh at the antics of the animal kingdom? This osmotic interaction is what expands our receptivity from a space of openness and presence. People regularly seek out animal company as we tend to have fewer barriers to receiving from them than people. So, when you next lay your hand on your fur or feathered friend, I invite you to put all your awareness into your hand and be present. Connect with every fibre of their being. Be present with the energetic exchange that is occurring. Take the time to watch them, observe their body movements and resist the temptation to DO anything, just be there. If your pet comes to you asking for engagement, take the space to acknowledge their ask – receive them and become aware of the gift of their presence in your world. Veterinarian practices: An essential service WORDS animal wellness

V

eterinarian practices are still considered essential services. While some of our vets are immune-compromised, so have decided to stay home, our reduced Team Animal Wellness is working hard to keep the patients healthy. We are seeing a great increase in owners preparing nutritious food for their pets, and they are able to obtain a consultation with our veterinary nutritionist online. We hope and pray that you are all looking after your own nutrition, taking extra vitamin D, getting some exercise in the sun for a few minutes a day, and eating lots of fresh veggies and some fruit. We have made hand sanitisers with essential oils, glycerine and alcohol and are giving these away to our clients. Make sure you come in and get some, we are in East Brisbane, on the corner of Edgar and Stanley Streets. Our vet friends around the world are also doing it tough, working as essential services while trying to stay healthy in a reduced economic environment. So we thought we would help some by donating some of the sales of our books (we have a children’s book on pet loss

and grief), hand sanitisers and liposomal Vitamin C to the fund to ‘build a vet clinic on a remote island in Indonesia’. This is to support the lovely man Dr Elaine helped through Bali Veterinary University several years ago. His name is Dr Kadek Widada, and he is the only local veterinarian in the remote island of Nusa Penida. Dr Widada has limited resources to help his people and their animals. He services three very low socioeconomic islands: Nusa Ceningen, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida. He provides medical and surgical skills for both large animals and small animal work, including desexing, calving, retained placenta, foreign body obstruction and vaccinations. He is doing fantastic work – there have been no rabies cases since 2010, in part due to his great work with the Rabies Eradication Vaccination Program. Often he is literally only paid in bananas and fish – whatever the farmer can afford. Dr Kadek is happy to help his people, but conditions are wanting. He really needs premises to set up a clinic. He has obtained some land but now needs financial help to fund the building. As costs continue to increase, he is looking at around AU$60,000. Balancing natural energies WORDS GAYLYN AITKEN

S

everal years ago when I was learning Kahuna Sciences from Abraham Kawai’i, I attended a geomancy workshop with him. I learnt how to sense through the responses of my body, the different frequencies that make up my immediate environment and how to adjust myself or my environment to facilitate flow or containment, depending upon the situation. This in turn deepened my understanding of the principle of motion, action and how its effects are the same within all circumstances, time and space. This elemental principle ignited within me a desire to develop a way of life that mirrored the flow, flexibility and speed of adjustment, found within nature in response to the frequencies of opposing forces. I figured it’s easier to swim with the tide than to fight against it with my concepts and belief systems. Aligned Movement grew from this desire, as I slowly but surely learnt how my body responded functionally to various situations.

Motion is life and motion is created from equal and opposing forces moving upon each other. In relation to this month’s theme of women’s well-being, I’ll focus on the opposing forces of male/female energy that not only relates to species gender but can also be found as a way of identifying and improving the function of anything. The motion of feminine energy can be identified through the senses as: cool, damp, dark, sweet, fluid, smooth, heavy, deep, inwards, measured, receptive, flexible, resilient, creative, container, nurturer. The motion of male energy is the opposite; light, heat, fast, textured, direct, projective, focused, dry, supportive, metallic, provider, rigid, strength, new ideas, birth. In balance, these two opposing forces create motion that contributes to one’s wellbeing. Sensing the qualities of male and female energies can provide insight into what’s needed

when and how much. We learn from ourselves of our self, to better manage life by lessening or increasing the harmoniously opposing forces to keep upright and moving with ease. The root of harmonious motion is communication between all the parts of being human, our body, our mind and our spirit. All are equal and different in the same measure and are kept well by being consciously aware of the qualities of motion. When I move in conscious alignment, I’m aware of how the phases of my breath move my body parts in a particular way that allows for the expansion of inhalation and the contraction of exhalation. Personal reflections

on giving and receiving

I

t’s been said that it is better to give than to receive. I don’t think this is necessarily true, but you could ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers; the nuances are many and varied. Giving and receiving shows up in many ways; the giving and receiving of a compliment, a gift, love, advice, an idea, criticism, a product or service, a point of view, or information, just to name a few! I’ve noticed that the intent behind giving can make a big difference. For example, giving without expectation; giving expecting something in return; giving for the joy of giving, and giving that is mutually reciprocal! We can also receive gracefully, compliantly, reluctantly or not at all!

The exchange between two people or entities is fascinating to watch, and I have always enjoyed observing how the human condition plays out. However, during COVID-19 restrictions and adjustments, the ebb and flow of giving and receiving have been somewhat overwhelming as we experience a completely new way of being. We have either become acutely aware of our limitations or of our limitless potential, dependant on our perspective, sometimes swinging erratically between both! Arguably, both the best and the worst have shown up. There has been an outpouring of generosity as people have supported others in their community who are struggling or may not have access to what they need. I have witnessed

beautiful vulnerability as people have reached out, who may not usually, but there is unwritten permission that it is okay to ask! I have seen courage and creativity as people have tapped deeply into gifts and talents, and created new businesses and added new services to help those who need them, and being compensated for their efforts. This has been a time of personal growth, global shake-up, awakening, awareness, and extreme healing, and it has not been easy. I choose to see this time as a gift, to ourselves and to our planet. We have been given time to reflect, to go within, to reconsider, to grow. May it be the change that we have been asking for. Go gently in love, and remember to follow your bliss.
