W 796. A Middle Eastern Copper Ewer

Converted to an Oil Lamp, probably 19th c., ewerform body with domed finialed cover, scroll handles and curved spout, soldered to a reticulated splayed base, height 16 3/8 in.

W 804. A Pre-Columbian Bone

Implement with Carved Finial, possibly Chimu, finialed shaft carved with a pair of parrots above an incised zoomorphic band, length 7 3/4 in.

W 797. A Turkish Ottoman Silvered Copper

Tombak Ewer, probably late 18th/19th c., lobed globular body with waisted flared neck and splayed foot ring, curved upright spout, height 8 1/2 in.

805. A Pre-Columbian Figural Pottery Vessel, c. 1900-1400 A.D., Chancay, ovoid body with relief molded neck with legs in shallow relief suggesting a seated position, height 17 3/8 in., custom metal mount, overall height 19 1/2 in.

806. A Pre-Columbian Stirrup Spout Pottery Vessel, c. 300-700, Moche, stepped domed body surmounted by a rectangular edifice with flaring roof gables and domed, knife-like central section with a serpent coiling through the front entrance, height 7 1/2 in., width 6 in.

$500/700 Provenance: The Dominican Sisters of Peace, Historic Veritas House, New Orleans, LA, sold for charitable benefit. 800. A Southwest Black on White Pottery Bowl, Anasazi or Mimbres, thin warped walls painted to the interior with bold geometric designs on a striped ground, height 4 5/8 in., width 11 1/4 in.

Segment, found 1895, curved body naturally hollowed to a taper within, old label reading: “Brought to San Francisco 1895 by a whaler. Was found in the ice at the head of the (illegible) river B.A. The whole tusk was bought but the rest was sold. Worth $1.50 a pound without cracks as it is .35 a pound”, height 11 3/4 in.
