Fries played in 13 games with eight starts as a sophomore, missing four games with an injury ... tallied four points on two goals during the season ... scored first career goal, the game-winner, in the 3-1 win over then-Big East member Pittsburgh ... added another goal against Holy Cross later in the season which tied the game at 1-1 right after halftime ... recorded eight shots on the season, firing two against both Delaware and Richmond. Fries appeared in 17 games last fall accounting for 447 minutes ... did not play in contests against UNC Greensboro and Richmond ... tallied 12 shots on the season including two against Fairleigh Dickinson, American and Howard ... played a season-high 62 minutes in the regular-season finale at Colgate.

• 2012 Soccer America National Team of the Week (Sept. 26) • 2012 ECAC Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 26) • 2012 CollegeSoccerNews.com National Team of the Week (Sept. 24) • 2012 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 24) • 2011 Patriot League Rookie of the Week (Oct. 31) Greenspan had an outstanding sophomore season, leading the team in scoring with 16 points (6 g, 4 a) ... the 16 points were the second most for a Navy player since 2000 behind McKenzie Plank’s 19 points in 2006 ... ranked second in the Patriot League in points (16) and third in goals (6) and shots (55) ... his 55 shots ranked tied for second in school history ... scored his first goals of the year with a hat trick in a 4-2 win over Lafayette ... it was the first hat trick recorded at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility and first for a Navy player since 2007 ... in the game before the Lafayette contest, Greenspan recorded assists on both of Navy’s goals in a 2-1 win over 20th-ranked George Mason ... the eight-point week enabled him to earn a spot on the Soccer America and CollegeSoccerNews.com Team of the Week as well as ECAC Offensive Player of the Week and Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors ... added goals against Lehigh, Howard and Colgate, tallying goals in Navy’s last two games of the year ... dished out an assist on Navy’s first goal of the game in a 2-0 victory over Robert Morris in the home opener ... also added an assist against Pittsburgh, giving him points in three straight games (George Mason, Lafayette, Pittsburgh) ... was successful on penalty-kick attempts against Lafayette and Lehigh.

2011: Freshman

Greenspan had a sensational freshman season, ranking second on the team in goals (4) and points (8) and setting the school record and leading the Patriot League in shot attempts (61) ... standing 6-5, provided a huge target in the offensive end and was able to use his size to score ... scored first career goal in the 3-3 tie with Loyola ... added a goal against Delaware, then scored goals in backto-back games against American and Howard (game-winning goal) ... the goals earned him Patriot League Rookie of the Week accolades ... ranked tied for eighth in the Patriot League in goals scored and his four goals led all Patriot League freshmen ... Greenspan and 2012 grad Sam Miller were the only Navy players to start all 19 games and his 1,418 minutes ranked fourth on the squad.

Greenspan lettered three times in soccer at Westfield High School, before graduating in 2011 ... led team to a county championship in 2010 ... was a two-time all-county, all-conference, all-area and all-state selection at Westfield ... also lettered in basketball and swimming and was an allconference basketball player as a senior ... was a member of the swimming team that won a state championship in 2009 ... played for the prestigious Match Fit Chelsea Academy FC as part of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy ... seven of his teammates at Match Fit signed Division I scholarships ... born in Summit, N.J. ... son of Brian and Andrea Greenspan ... majoring in economics.
