nspired by timeless European oak and Australian native timbers, and characterised by its hyperrealistic wood grain, National Tiles’ versatile Chalet range of AC4-rated laminate flooring comes in generous 2,240 by 195 by 12mm planks. With six stylish options in stock plus two available on special order, the Chalet range has a timber to suit any home or commercial interior.

The secret to the physical strength of the Chalet range is its 910 kg/m3 Pure Pine High-Density Fibreboard core that allows it to deliver exceptional moisture resistance, stability and durability. Unlike other boards, Chalet’s core uses only carefully-selected timber and excludes any impurities, such as the bark, that could compromise quality.

The decorative surface of the Chalet range features a highly resistant transparent overlay that protects against stains, impact, and scratches, achieving an AC4 commercial rating. It covers a high-definition decorative paper printed using state-of-the-art digital techniques.

The base layer is a Back Balance Layer, which guarantees a perfectly balanced board that will not cup or bow when properly installed and maintained. It also protects from the ingress of moisture from below.

Each Chalet board features a micro-bevel to four sides, and joints use the simple yet strong Drop Loc glueless jointing system.

Chalet comes in two surface options, with a smooth finish used on the Chalet Coastal Blackbutt, Brushbox, and Spotted Gum native species designs; and with a matte embossed finish used for the Chalet Oak Savannah, Cedar, Marri, Oak Pearl, and Blackwood designs.

The degree of pattern variation in each style ranges from moderate to strong and will depend on the timber reproduced. However, all eight Chalet designs are highly realistic, faithful, and detailed reproductions of the source species.
