bAT TRIMS was the first company to design and produce Metal Tiling Trims in Australia. The Family Business, established in 1985, commenced manufacturing basic Tiling Angles that year in various sizes and metals; predominantly Brass and Aluminium, hence the name BAT - Brass and Aluminium Tiling Trims. Soon after, many new and unique designs of trims were introduced to suit various applications, e.g., Cove Trim.

The Cove Trim design was registered in May 1987. It was developed in consultation with numerous local Council Health Departments to provide an easy-to-clean wall-tofloor junction, mainly for use in food preparation areas. Numerous other new designs followed thereafter, of which many can be found in suppliers’ catalogues worldwide. BAT Trims has often been described as the “Innovators, not the Imitators” in
