Die egpaar is in 1947 in die NG Kerk op Hartswater in die huwelik bevestig en twee dogters, Anna (reeds oorlede), Ria en een seun Gawie is uit die huwelik gebore. Hulle spog met agt kleinkinders en ses agterkleinkinders. Oom Arrie het as jongman op die spoorweg begin werk en later in Johannesburg Munisipaliteit. Na sy aftrede in 1985 het die egpaar hulle op Wolmaransstad gevestig en woon tans in die Tehuis vir Bejaardes op die dorp. Oom Arrie sukkel bietjie om te hoor en die bene begin pla, maar verder geniet hulle nog goeie gesondheid.

The premier youth rugby tournament, which sees the u/18 provincial rugby teams battle it out in an action-packed week, has seen over 260 Springbok players come through its ranks.
