Big news in this month's edition of VSN! Thanks to our lovely Draetia we have a new, awesomely awesome, elegant graphic, a very classy look for the magazine this year. New year, new us. Our team is absolutely in love with this new style, hope you'll soon fall for it too! Such an effort was put in this edition of the magazine that it's almost insane, but that's how much we care about you guys and you deserved an even better quality. But let's talk about the real thing; in this edition you will find a lot of, obviously, interesting stuff like: articles about a beautiful land about violence against women; what this new year in our second life has in store for us; a little guide to a land where a library has been reproduced, with all its rules and characteristics; everything you need to know about the latest hunts; a special interview about Valentine's day, because that beautiful date is getting closer and closer and we want to already spread that lovely atmosphere all around us. 2017 is over and we left behind many novelties of design, fashion and system. The introduction of the Bento mesh, of the prims in addition to the owners of land are just some of the novelties of the year that has just ended. But what will be the news or changes that await us in 2018? For those who don't know where to look for the news about Second Life, in this first article of the year you can read what the future persists directly from the Linden's blog. The first news directly concerns Premium members: in addition to regularly rolling out fresh gifts exclusively for subscribers, SL added new benefits to Premium membership to make it even better. LindenLab launched Premium Access to full regions, and extended the L$ transaction history for Premium subscribers up to 90 days. They’re very pleased to share that as a result, SL did see some growth in Premium account membership this year, so look forward to new initiatives in 2018 aimed at making the benefits of going Premium even more valuable.

For this first article of Art and Culture I propose a very important project that immediately attracted my attention. This is 2Lei, an all-Italian project that however involves the entire world due to its important social content, in fact it is a land that shows several works against violence against women. Second Life is a social network that connects thousands of people but sometimes it can also be a means to transmit important messages, in a few words it can be a fundamental resource. Too often and too willingly, people abuse the term "violence" but as we all know it is not a completely unknown phenomenon to each of us. Too often tragedies end up in silence, disturbing stories and above all end in indifference. Well, 2Lei wants to merge Art and Information to make people aware of the tragic reality that many women live and the way in which these abuses can be expressed with art. In the region you can find real paintings followed by very suggestive sculptures up to real representations that are performed in the auditorium.

The founders of this great project are very motivated in their fight against silence and seem to want to continue with the motto of "there is no love without respect". I think this thought can be shared by everyone and above all in every context.

What is very significant and evocative is a corridor with several panels, each of them has a date and several names, well they are all names of innocent victims, of women who said they were loved. There are hundreds, if not thousands of names and those you can read are only a small part of all those that have been there before. 2Lei is a great way to tackle the topic, it is a place where you want to completely undo the force of violence to transform it into the voice of art, of a cry of creativity that can affect everyone without distinction from sex, from the source, from the language. This is a small step but surely, thanks to us, thanks to our virtual community we can also start with a small drop in the sea. I strongly advise you to visit this land, to appreciate every single work of art and to feel the passion with which 2Lei shouts "enough violence".

-Tell me a bit about yourself and your company. How did you get involved with weddings & events? I have had my share of experience when it comes to Wedding Planning in SL. I began years ago, working and training under a now closed wedding company. I enjoyed the work so much, talking with clients and hearing their stories. I became determined to learn all i could. Over time, I have taken the knowledge I gained and now use it to help couples each day. I stay focused on making the couples wish list a reality no matter their financial status. Each couple is given the same amount of time and effort, from the smallest service, to the grandest. I have a creative mind and can make any venue simply gorgeous. No matter what the theme is, I do my best to make it happen. I have a kind and loving personality and it shows when I speak to the couples. I am understanding and helpful. I work closely with each couple that walks through our doors to make sure they are comfortable with the pricing, features and all details. I do stay busy due to this but please know that I do always get things done as promised. I am open to feedback, so I highly encourage all my couple couples to let me know if there are any details that they are not happy with or want changed. No matter what, I will always make the changes needed to make it simply perfect! Everlasting Love Weddings was created in 2016. This May we will be celebrating our 2 yr anniversary and we are very excited for this celebration. I have seen well over 300 couples come through Everlasting Love Weddings. We started off small and in 2017 we started expanding our service we do birthdays, baby showers, charity events. We now have a restaurant called Avanti's and we also have our own line of cakes and invitations called Elite sweets. We have an on sim photography studio where anyone is welcome to book with one of our amazing photographers.

We have several honeymoon destination rentals that are available, as well as a collaborative service with Avatair for flight services to and from. This past year brought some big and amazing changes to Everlasting, and I couldn't be more proud of my amazing team that have worked so hard to make this a reality

How did you get involved with weddings & events? This is where I have to give credit to AllieKat (allie. munro). She open wedding business called Eversong Weddings. It was through AllieKat (allie.munro) I learned a lot. I worked hard being a sales rep / wedding coordinator. I do this work because, I enjoy it. It isn't always easy, and it can get stressful, but the reward, a happy couples' smiles and sincere "Thank you" 's are what makes it all worthwhile, and keeps me focused an pushing forward. Allie never knew just how much she inspired me. I enjoy being creative, I love challenges and thinking of new ideas. I also enjoy seeing a couple happy! -What are the near future plans for ELW? The future for ELW is to have another sim to expand. Offer our couples even more exciting new ventures and opportunities. -What is your favorite part of your job? I would have to say that I have known I have made the couples happy and full fill their dreams if i know they are happy on the day of the wedding then I know I have done my job giving them the best wedding of their dreams.

What do you find most challenging when planning weddings? When you get couple that comes in and ask you to prepare a custom venue in 3 days however I love the challenges that are thrown at Me. -Can you tell me about the types of wedding planning packages available to couples? We have various packages that we provide to our couples and they can choose which one that will fit their needs. We have our elopement package which is our smallest package to our big royalty package. Of course, we work closely with each couple to tailor that service for them, so they have just what they want. Do you do destination weddings? Theme weddings, yes we do. We provide full service to our couples to fill their dream wedding they are wanting. As I said before, thru Avatair, we also have flight services, so that's an option for anyone who wants a more in depth roleplay.

-When someone is looking for a planner, what are some good questions to ask at the meeting? Always make sure that the coordinators time matches well with yours, don't be afraid to ask them their time zone. How often they are online, what is the best way out of world to contact them if need be. All our coordinators have a list of questions we ask all our couples. Questions range from the colors they want for their wedding, to how many is going to be in their wedding party. We do this to cover as much detail as possible for our couples needs. Not all couples are going to know to ask about certain things and we do our best to make sure nothing is missed! That's what is going to make their wedding special and memorable. -What is your current favorite color combo? Silver and blue or a full complete white wedding. -What was the most unique wedding you ever planned? I would have to say the doctor who wedding. That's a wedding I will always remember trying to plan a big challenge as at the time i didn't have a clue what dr. who was !.

Can you leave us with some tips for brides and grooms planning their wedding? The main thing, is to set a date and time that's going to work well for you both, and your wedding party. When thinking of themes or colors, make sure it represents who you all are as a couple. Using things as the first flower he gave you in your landscaping, choosing a color that you know is her favorite, or a setting that holds special meaning to you both, are just a few ideas. No matter what, keep in mind, this is your special day, and while many people may have many well meant advice, go with what makes you happy. And of course, come see us at Everlasting!
