Students feel supported, safe and happy at St Julie ’s

St Julie’s Catholic High school is a popular and vibrant learning community where academic excellence is standard and traditional values shape the delivery of a curriculum that is innovative and exciting. Students reach prestigious destinations using transferable skills developed with them, like their award-winning drama performances. Their last Ofsted inspection in 2023 judged the school to be good, and the Catholic Schools Inspectorate noted in 2024 “Students truly understand and embrace the charism and mission of St. Julie’s. They speak with pride about how they live out the Notre Dame values in their daily lives. Students feel valued, supported, safe, happy and confident.”

To find out more about a place for your daughter, please visit www.stjulies.org.uk or go and meet their new Headteacher, staff and students at their open event on Thursday 27th June from 4-6pm.

Education and Social Justice

How does education play a role in creating a socially-just society? The education sector is continually changing; a dynamic ecosystem intrinsically linked to the policies of governments, social and economic challenges, movements of demographics and communities.

Future leaders need to be socially aware practitioners, cognisant of the challenges educationalists face in the 21st century; such as sustainability, racial inequalities, global and local communities, critical issues in gender and disabilities, and how all these factors should be understood, addressed and planned for in contemporary education.

The MA Education and Social Justice at Liverpool John Moores University starting in September aims to explore and address these challenges and they’re seeking policy makers, graduates in relevant disciplines, community organisers, educators and researchers from a variety of backgrounds to join their first cohort. If this appeals to you, visit www.ljmu.ac.uk or scan the QR code on page two to find out more and to apply.
