This week campers learned how to use the different tools & equipment. They hammered, chiseled, nailed, sanded & measured a variety of objects. Students built their own projects & added their personal touch with paint & designs of their choice. Through out the course of the week, campers brought home a lap top board, hat/tool rack, wall sign & a planter. **Special thanks to Ace Hardware for providing the supplies needed to complete the projects.**

3..2..1.. Bzzzzzz. The final buzzer has buzzed. In this hooptastic week, campers played a cornucopia of basketball related games to improve each camper‟s all-around game. Each day consisted of skill drills & warm ups to strengthen abilities. Mini-games like knock out, bump & around the world honed our shooting abilities. Each day was a different full court basketball matchup to showcase everyone‟s talents & teamwork. Inside they played table games such as cups & dime basketball. There were also themed crafts & brain puzzled. The week specifically scheduled to coincide with the NBA draft. Campers learned about the purpose of the draft, draft prospects & each teams needs in order to make predictions for the actual draft with prizes awarded to the best prognosticator.

In the Little House this week, campers painted two-sided butterfly wings they would wear. They also made butterfly themed art shown on display in the “big room.” They learned facts about insects , the names of insect body parts & completed Practical Life work that had insect manipulative. They enjoyed the class drawing on giant paper! Everything was a hit, even to new comers. They are looking forward to next week‟s, Under The Sea!

Yikes! Insects!

This week, campers explored all different kinds of insects. Keith Willmott, who works at the University of Florida Natural History Museum came by & showed them specimens of insects form Ecuador. They have learned parts of a caterpillar, Sang songs, & read Miles and Miles of Reptiles. Campers had an amazing time again with marble rolling. This time they used butterfly shapes. Overall, they had an awesome week & finished it with the movie, “It‟s a Bug‟s Life.” Can‟t wait for Under The Sea next week! M S . L I Z
