WELCOME TO

Millhopper Montessori School Summer Camp Information MMS is offering summer camps and is doing so with campers’ and employees’ safety in mind. All of the measures below will be constantly reviewed throughout the summer to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local mandates and adjusted accordingly. All registered families will be asked to sign an additional Release of Liability form related to COVID-19. Camp sizes: • Campers will be in groups of no more than 10 per CDC guidance to ensure proper social distancing. • Camp groups will stay together throughout the day/week and have dedicated activity rooms and lunch/snack area. • Due to Covid-19, all participants must be pre-registered and pre-paid for each week of camp by noon each Thursday prior to the week attending – late registration will not be accepted. Health: • Staff will be subject to daily screening including a temperature check and wellness screening before entering camp. • Camper health checks will occur daily with temperature checks and health screening before entering camp while maintaining appropriate social distance guidelines. Parents must remain on campus until screening is complete. Exit temperature screening and health screening will be done daily. Campers and staff not passing health and temperature check (100 or more) will immediately be quarantined and sent home. The quarantine area will then be sanitized before future use. In the event of a confirmed COVID-19 case, families will be notified, and camp operations suspended in accordance with CDC and local guidance. Face Masks: • MMS staff is required to wear face masks/shields at all times. • MMS continues to monitor all safety requirements mandated by Federal, state, and local officials. Currently, face masks/shields are required for all children, two years of age or older. Arrival and dismissal: • Camper arrival and dismissal will be staggered to decrease congestion. • Parents and visitors will not be permitted inside school buildings. Check-in and check-out procedures will take place outdoors. Personal Items: • To ensure every child’s safety, campers are not allowed to bring any toys, electronics, or other personal items to camp. Meals & Snacks: • Each camper must provide their own snack, lunch and water. All containers/bottles must be disposable and brought in a disposable lunch bag. Cleaning: • All activity sites and frequently touched surfaces (e.g., playground equipment, door handles, sink handles, tables and desks…) will be sanitized several times a day per CDC guidelines. Dress Code: • Sneakers that fully enclose the top of the foot and the heel are required at all times for safety reasons. • Please send your child in comfortable attire that can get dirty. We recommend appropriate length shorts no shorter than mid-thigh and a t-shirt. Skirts are allowed, but should have leggings underneath as our camps are very active. Medications: • All medications must be given to the front office and the appropriate forms completed. Regardless of age, students are not allowed to keep medication on their person, in their bags, or in their locker. Please be specific when leaving instructions. Behavior: • The staff at MMS will strive not only to provide fun and educational experiences, but also to stress respect for others. We believe that you as a parent/guardian will appreciate knowing of any problem that your child may experience. MMS reserves the right to suspend or expel any camper from the program who demonstrates serious or continual discipline problems. Education:

• Campers will be educated on germ spread, proper sneezing/coughing safety, hand washing, and awareness.
