“I wanted to dig into the Bible and to learn more about the content that I’m teaching at Wisconsin Lutheran High School. I took classes ranging from New Testament Studies to Mission Trips. From Apologetics to Hermeneutics. I not only wanted to grow in my content knowledge, but also learn from the amazing teachers and my fellow students in the program. I enjoyed reading and learning from their perspectives.”

“I feel like the MLC master’s program did a great job training me for this principal call! The courses were outstanding. They prepared me spiritually, as the focus of every course is the mission of our schools. That’s something you won’t find in other programs.”

“We understand that our schools and congregations do not typically have dedicated IT personnel, yet technology is vital. A teacher who also acts as the technology director can provide the ideas, support, and encouragement that will align technology use with 21st-century educational goals.”

“It’s been exactly what I needed to start a Guided Studies program. One of the most valuable aspects has been the community of teachers I’ve been learning with and the professors who have added their wisdom and experience. The evidence-based procedures and depth of knowledge the master’s program provides allows us to better support our children, teachers, and parents.”

HEB9001 Hebrew Institute

1 credit

The Summer Hebrew Institute is an upper-level course in biblical Hebrew for pastors with a strong interest and ability in Hebrew.

The 2024 course will focus on the rapid reading of Deuteronomy 12-26 in Hebrew. These theologically rich chapters present the heart of the old covenant in a collection sometimes called “the Deuteronomic Code.” About fifty verses are quoted or alluded to in the New Testament, including Moses’ messianic prophecy about the “prophet” to come.

For an extra project, each participant will spend some time with an upper-level Hebrew research tool or teaching tool with which he was previously unacquainted.
