MizzouRec also has three additional guiding principles: relationships, philanthropy, & authenticity. Our success depends on the quality of our interactions and the clarity of our communication with others. Forming, nurturing, and maintaining positive relationships is the ideal outcome of our time together at work, in class, and at leisure. To this end, MizzouRec works tirelessly to provide an outstanding environment to cultivate relationships that last a lifetime. MizzouRec has been given great gifts of support and wonderful resources from generations of students and administrators at MU. It is part of our culture to share appropriately and wisely with a variety of worthwhile causes and initiatives. In a world filled with brands, labels, expectations, and images, it is important that each of us reserve time daily to connect to our true selves. Placing an organizational value on authenticity means being genuine in our words and our deeds is important and a priority.

I am writing this just as the first snow flurries appear in Missouri. Publication deadlines require a long lead time, so by the time you read these words a month and the new year threshold will have passed. As such, it’s a small challenge to consider spring 2017 while I compose. The end of a semester and the end of a calendar year present an excellent opportunity to reflect and take stock. Likewise, it is a good time to strategize for the days ahead. World events, national politics, campus challenges and personal milestones in life generate strong influences on how each of us will create our individual agendas and move forward. How we do that is up to us; it’s something we personally have control over. One practice that can help ease the sense of being overwhelmed by change in life is the act of reflection with gratitude. Counting your blessings is far more than just a cliché, it’s a positive life practice.
For me, the past year has not proceeded as I had planned but nevertheless it has been a year of abundance. There are plenty of unknowns ahead in 2017 for me personally and professionally, yet I choose to see the months ahead as a time of adventure, challenge and blessings. My graduate advisor, Dr. Virginia R. Crafts told me once, “Diane, the only thing that is consistent in life and that you can count on is change. How you manage it is up to you.” As you face the semester ahead, I encourage each of you to reflect with intention and prepare to engage your world with a positive perspective; seeing change and life as a blessing.

REC FAQS DO I NEED AN MU ID TO GET INTO THE REC? Yes! You must have an active MU student ID or MizzouRec-issued ID (for non-student members) in order to access the facility. This requirement helps ensure that our students and members (and their belongings!) stay safe and secure. If you forget your ID, you may present another official form of photo ID at the Member & Guest Services desk. The SE entrance off of Hitt Street is where you’ll find the Member & Guest Services Desk. You are allowed one free “courtesy pass” per semester for not having your MU student or MizzouRec-issued ID with you upon attempted entry. Subsequent fees for not having your ID with you are $10 per occurrence. If a question arises as to the validity of the presented ID, a second form of ID may be required. In order to keep your payments as secure as possible, we do not accept cash.
WHY DO I HAVE TO HAVE MY ID TO ACCESS THE FACILITY? For your safety, security and account protection. We want you to be able to enjoy the MizzouRec membership experiences that are rightfully yours, and that you’ve paid for, and for that reason we take the appropriate measures to ensure that those who aren’t paying, or who don’t have authorized access, aren’t taking advantage of a lax security system. With thousands of members entering and exiting our facility daily, taking the time to verify each one is important to us, and it’s important to your security.
CAN I BRING A GUEST? Yes! Guest days are all day Friday and Saturday, and Sunday until 5 pm. All guests must be at least 18 years old and must present a valid, government-issued photo ID which displays a date of birth. Each guest will be charged a $10.80 (including tax) fee with a limit of two guests per day. Please check in with your guest at the Member & Guest Services desk! You are responsible for the conduct of your guest during your visit. For information regarding guest guidelines, please visit mizzourec.com/guests.

CLUB SPORTS ARE STUDENTLED ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE INSTRUCTIONAL AND COMPETITIVE IN NATURE. Students travel to compete against other collegiate teams from around the region and nation. Club Sports are a great place for students who want to continue to improve their game while in college or who are simply looking to try something new. We’ve got over 40 clubs. Learn a little more about a few of them here.
The MIZZOU CLUB SOFTBALL team is known to head to Shakespeare’s for post-practice pizza and host a “Teamsgiving” dinner every November, not to mention all the fun they’re having on the field. This team’s roster is stacked with energy, competitive and highly talented women who definitely weren’t ready to hang up their cleats when they came to college. “Every year we have great girls and we all mesh really well and that’s kind of hard to find,” club vice president Hannah Medler said. “And every year some graduate and more great people just fill in.” How did you get started with Club Softball? Hannah Medler, Club Softball Vice President: I played softball when I was little and I thought in high school that I didn’t want to do anymore. But then I started to really miss it and I needed something to fill the space. So one day I was at the Rec and saw [Club Softball was] having tryouts, and I ended up making it and it’s been a great experience, I love it. How are you different now than when you first joined the team?
Samantha Carroll, president: I think I’ve just become more of a leader because my freshman year I was so quiet. Being a pitcher you need leadership skills, so that’s been really good for me. Becoming a leader on the team has been huge. It’s been really helpful for me not only in softball, but in school and my career. What’s being on the team like? Megan Cordingley, Club Softball Treasurer: We focus a lot on team bonding. We want to compete and do really well but we also want to have that social aspect. We want people to come to us if they need help, and have people have a group of friends because Mizzou is so big. We go to the dining halls together or when we travel we make sure we all eat dinner together and hang out in the hotel together.
Our MEN’S CLUB SOCCER team works together on and off the court. These guys practice twice a week on Stankowski Field to get ready for tournaments in the fall semester. The season runs from September to November, ending at the NIRSA Collegiate Club Soccer Tournament. What’s your favorite part of playing club soccer? Dominic Lombardo, Men’s Club Soccer member: It’s nice to still play soccer, get touches on the ball, and have a good time with a bunch of friends as well. What advice do you have for someone who’s interested in club soccer? DL: Come out, try out. We’d love to have some new teammates.
MIZZOU CLUB CYCLING is all about casual, fun rides, camaraderie and chasing the occasional adrenaline rush. What does it take to join Club Cycling? Social Media Manager Andrew Voth: If you have a bike, you can join. If you don’t have a bike and you’ve never ridden, you can still join. And we’d be happy to show you how to ride. What do Club Cycling members gain from their experience? Sponsorship Coordinator and Risk Manager Andrew Sigala: I’ve been mountain biking for a couple years seriously, and coming here and being able to do it for Mizzou through an actual organization has been huge. It’s made things easy. Now I have a group to ride with and an organization to help us out and give us a ton of land.

ohn Gilbert’s first season with Mizzou Wheelchair Basketball was the program’s first season ever. In 2005-2006, the team went 6-27 and was feeling the growing pains that come along with starting a collegiate athletics program from scratch. For John and the four other founding members of the team (the "Mizzou Legacy 5"), there were many friendships made and life lessons learned, but there were also plenty of hard losses and character tests.

Just 10 years after that debut season, John was far away from his Salisbury, Missouri home, in Rio de Janeiro with a Paralympic gold
medal around his neck. The United States men’s wheelchair basketball team last won Paralympic gold in 1988, and the 2016 team that broke the drought carried three Tigers on its roster and coaching staff. Mizzou Wheelchair Basketball lent its head coach, an assistant coach and a former player to Team USA. Having also led the U.S. women’s team in 2004 and 2008, this was head coach Ron Lykins’ third national team to take Paralympic gold. Mizzou assistant coach Scott Meyer joined Team USA’s administrative operations as team leader.
In John’s three years with Team USA, he’d gotten used to being the only Mizzou alumnus among players from the University of Illinois, Wisconsin Whitewater and University of Texas-Arlington. Training for and competing in the Paralympics with Ron and Scott by his side was special and unforgettable. “I’m proud to bring the gold medal back home, to show that [Mizzou Wheelchair Basketball] is a program that is on the map and producing Paralympic-caliber
athletes,” John said. “It definitely made me proud to be a Tiger from Missouri.”
THE ROAD TO RIO
R
on thought about the 2016 Paralympics every day for four years. As head coach, there was always training and planning to do to prepare for the games. So he experienced a wide range of emotions when it was clear the investment paid off and the final buzzer announced the team’s historic championship victory over Spain. “We had a vision and it worked, and that’s very fulfilling,” Ron said. “I felt happy for our guys
who sacrificed so much to get there and to achieve it, I was just overjoyed about that. I felt relief. For four years we worked on this, and we had good fortune while we were [in Rio]. And I felt sad that it was over. It was a tremendous journey.” For Scott, preparing for Rio meant taking care of a lot of people and a lot of logistics. Scott was on the administrative side of Team USA, handling team operations and making sure everything ran smoothly so the coaches and players could focus on basketball. John recalled a time when the team was traveling late into the night and the hotel’s laundry facilities were closed. Scott worked out a deal with a local laundromat owner to make sure the team uniforms would be clean for the next day’s game. “We had very little thinking to do because Scott did it all for us,” Ron said. “That’s the most important position on the team, is the team leader. You have a good team leader, then coaches coach, players play and everybody does their job. Without Scott there and the job he did, I don’t know that we would’ve been as successful as we were.” Many of Ron, John and Scott’s favorite memories of the Paralympics were made before they even arrived in Rio. The players trained and competed
against each other they needed to, but they also shared lots of laughs together, some at each others’ expenses. The four-yearlong training process produced both a gold-medal-caliber team and a brotherhood. “That was the beauty of the team: there were no cliques,” Scott said. “When we walked onto the court or [into] the Olympic Training Center, we were red, white and blue. These guys were great at separating from where they came from and what teams they had played for previously, and thinking about what team they’re on now and what team they represent.” In some ways, Ron’s road to Rio began when he became Mizzou’s head coach during John’s final season with the team. Ron watched John lay a foundation for future generations of Mizzou wheelchair basketball players, even when victories were few and far between. “For this kid to finally go through all that, and to be a champion on the biggest stage in the world, I was just really happy for him,” Ron said. “I know how much he gave to Mizzou, I know how much he still gives to the sport.”
WORLD CHAMPIONS
A
nybody who knows John would probably describe him as a competitive person. John was a year old the last time the U.S. men’s team clinched gold, and competing for that gold had been his goal since high school. By the time the 2016 Paralympics came around, his dream of the podium was starting to feel like a weight on his shoulders. He’ll never forget MIZZOUREC.COM | 29

the moment he finally felt relief. “I’m never going to listen to the National Anthem the same way,” John said. “Every time I’ve heard it since, my mind goes straight back to having the medal around my neck, turning around and seeing the flag and my 11 brothers. That one memory is triggered every time I hear that song, and it’s such a beautiful song.” The Rio 2016 win marked Ron’s fourth medal, having won silver once and gold twice while coaching the 1992, 2004 and 2008 U.S. women’s teams. Team USA defeated Spain 68-52 in the championship game, and it was also the first time since 1988 that
both the men’s and women’s team won gold medals. “To be a part of that is kind of monumental because it hasn’t been done in a while,” Scott said. “To say that I was a part of it, and that I got to work with the athletes is pretty special. We’ll always be known as part of the 2016 team that won goal.
BRINGING IT HOME
J
ohn poured his heart and soul into every carat of his gold medal. For him, the best part about being a Paralympian was coming home to share the victory with his loved ones and his community. John is a high
school science teacher and junior high basketball coach in Salisbury, and when his students ask to see his gold medal, he’s quick to tell them it’s just as much theirs as it is his. “The gold medal isn't just mine,” John said. “It belongs to my wife, our kids, my students, the whole town, all my friends. A lot of people sacrificed a whole lot for me to be able to chase one of the biggest goals of my life. They put it around my neck, but it’s a whole lot of people’s.” One of Ron’s favorite parts of competing in Rio was getting to watch players from 11 different countries and coaches with very different philosophies. able to pick up on things each team did well, and he’s looking forward to bringing some of that extra coaching expertise back to Mizzou Wheelchair Basketball.
Ron, John and Scott are quick to thank those who supported them as they kept their sights set on Rio. For them, Post-Paralympics will be all about paying it forward and fostering the sport.
Ron and Scott were still coaching at Mizzou while preparing Team USA for the Paralympics, and they’re grateful for the flexibility that allowed them to maintain those dual responsibilities for four years. MizzouRec hosted a training camp in 2014, Mizzou staff members and players stepped up to make sure this year’s team would be in shape for the season.
“We want to continue to lay the foundation for the next group coming up,” Scott said. “Never turning down an opportunity to expose the sport to others and create those opportunities so more individuals can participate later in life. We want to represent the country, the sport, our national office, and those individuals who backed us and continued to support us as best we can.”

MEET OUR DIETICIAN
Sarah BuckalLew zouLIFE Registered Dietitian
Sarah offers nutrition consultation to the Mizzou community, and is the only outpatient dietitian on campus. She’s a Columbia native who enjoys exercise, reading and cooking. Her favorite foods include Mexican and Southwest flavors, with brownies and cake for dessert.
38 | MIZZOUREC.COM
What is nutrition consultation and who is it for?
What are appointments like?
Nutrition consultation can benefit a wide range of people of any age, and that’s because it’s all about helping people take control of their dietary habits, whatever the end goal may be. It’s all about helping you eat better within your lifestyle.
Sarah will ask you about your lifestyle, what dietary challenges you’re facing, what your goals are and how you can adjust your eating habits to meet those goals. She can also help you develop a meal plan if it would be helpful to you. Since nutrition consultation is all about helping you make lifestyle changes, it’s best to schedule multiple appointments so you can consistently check in with Sarah about your progress. Periodic consultations will help you figure out what small changes you can make that will get you to where you want to be in the long run.
So it’s not just for weight loss? Absolutely not! While Sarah is great at counseling people who are trying to lose weight, she can also help anyone who feels like they could use a little dietary guidance. Diabetes, eating disorders, and food allergies are some of the health conditions nutrition consultations can help people manage. It’s also a great option if you’re looking to maintain your weight, gain muscle or if you just aren’t sure what to buy at the grocery store.
I’m a relatively healthy college student. What can nutrition consultation do for me? When you start college, you also start making a lot of nutrition-related decisions that you’re used to your parents or guardians making for you. Now you have to decide what to make for dinner, buy at the grocery store, or what to choose at the campus dining halls. That new decision-making responsibility can have a big effect on your diet. Nutrition consultation can help you feel confident when making those decisions.
I could use some help with my fitness goals as well. What are my options? Nutrition consultations pair well with our personal training packages and body composition assessments. Sarah can help you work with one of zouLIFE’s personal trainers to make sure your dietary adjustments are in line with your fitness goals. Body composition assessments can also help you keep track of your progress since they analyze lean mass vs. fat mass, which is a much better measurement to go by than the number on the scale.
How do I get started? Visit mizzourec.com/personaltraining to check out all of our nutrition consultation, personal training and body composition assessment options. And you can always email personaltraining@mizzourec.com if you have questions or would like to get in touch with Sarah or a trainer!
You don’t need a fancy kitchen or expensive produce to nutrition like a pro — Campus Dining Services has multiple on-campus options to get your healthy on. Our favorite? A yummy salad with greens, veggies, cheese and grilled chicken.

PERSONAL TRAINING We know, we know — sometimes a fitness center can be kind of overwhelming. If you’re new to working out and don’t know where to start, don’t worry! zouLIFE personal trainer Audrey Lamberson has the right moves to get you started.
PERSONAL TRAINER SPOTLIGHT
Audrey Lamberson
ACE Certified Personal Trainer Audrey is an undergraduate student studying nutrition and exercise physiology. She loves working in a gym setting, so her dream is to continue her career as a personal trainer and eventually open a gym of her own. In her free time she likes to, quote, “lay on my bear skin rug in front of a roaring fire, snuggled with a piping hot mug of decadent low-fat cocoa, whilst listening to the soul-soothing anthems of Jessie McCartney.” Oh, Audrey.
STEP 1:
WARM up
A warmup is 5-10 minutes of getting your heart rate up and get your muscles warm and ready! • One lap jog around the track • Another lap around the track: • On the straight section, side hop facing the inside of the track • On the curved section, butt kicks • 3 sets of 10 air squats • 3 sets of 10 jumping jacks
40 | MIZZOUREC.COM
STEP 2:
MEDICINE BALL CIRCUIT In this circuit, we’re using a medicine ball to make each movement a little more challenging. • Russian twists • Standing shoulder press • TIP! Try not to swing your body! Keep your core engaged and stable. • Alternating lunges • TIP! Hold the ball at your trunk and keep your back as straight as possible. • Sit ups • Sumo squats • Run one lap around the track
Do every exercise for 30 seconds; when you reach the end of the circuit, rest for one minute and repeat the entire circuit four times.
STEP 3:
COOL DOWN
3-5 minutes of exercising at a low intensity. Focus on deep breathing to help bring that heart rate down! • Walk one lap around the track • 5 minutes of stretching the muscles you ‘worked out’ • Choose 3-5 stretches and hold those stretches for 20-30 seconds TIP! For this workout, Audrey suggests a butterfly stretch, back
scratch stretch, and toe touch.
Love Audrey’s tips? Learn more about our Personal Training Program online and fill out a Personal Training Interest Form. You’ll be matched with a zouLIFE Personal Trainer who will cater workouts to your fitness goals and keep you motivated along the way.

If you’re a TigerX cycling aficionado, you may have noticed some new gear in Tiger Lair this semester. After consulting with our super knowledgeable TigerX cycling instructors and getting member feedback, we decided it was time for a big-time equipment upgrade. Our new Schwinn bikes are pretty to look at — and we hear they work pretty well, too. Instructor Evan Jenkins let us know what’s up with the new bikes.

ONE of the BIGGEST NEW FEATURES is the POWER COMPONENT,
which tracks how much energy you output. Now, the focus of your workout isn’t on distance or calories — it’s all about your effort and power. “The power feature is a good way to check your effort level during class,” said Evan. “Since I have a background in outdoor cycling, it makes the class more realistic to riding outside.” The new bikes also get an A+ for seat comfort, but that’s not the only other upgrade. “Some positive feedback I’ve gotten is that [members] enjoy the handlebars and how they give more options for hand placement,” said Evan.

Epiphani is one of our Lifeguard Instructors at Mizzou Aquatic Institute. Learn more about our classes from someone who teaches them. HOW DID YOU END UP AS A LIFEGUARD INSTRUCTOR AT MIZZOU AQUATIC INSTITUTE? In the fall of 2014, my freshman year, I applied to be a Tiger swim instructor. I already had both my water safety instructor (WSI) and lifeguard instructor (LGI) certifications. At the time there was only one other certified part-time Team Mizzou staff member teaching with limited availability, so I knew I had a good shot at being accepted to teach. I applied to crossutilize and started teaching CPR, First Aid, AED, and lifeguard courses that spring.
feed off the instructors' energy and enthusiasm, so make sure you have your cup of coffee before class! More importantly, make sure you are adaptable and patient, because everyone learns at different rates and through different techniques. Though the material being taught needs to remain consistent across classes, remember to be flexible in your teaching methods. Think you might be cut out for her job? We’re always looking for Lifeguard Instructors. Email petersonee@missouri. edu for more information.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT LEADING A CLASS? The lifeguard courses are always fun to teach, especially the in-water portion. The water skills usually do not come naturally for participants, and many experience a fear of having to practice while being submerged in water. My job is to be patient and encouraging through the whole learning process and to provide constructive feedback. It is always a very rewarding feeling when someone is finally able to conquer their fear and successfully execute an in-water skill. Also, many of the skills are team oriented, and it is awesome to see participants learn how to effectively communicate with each other and develop trust in their peers as well as in themselves during the course. APPROXIMATELY HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE YOU HELPED REACH CERTIFICATION? Over the past three and a half years, I have certified over 300 participants in CPR/ AED and first aid here at MizzouRec. WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR SOMEONE INTERESTED IN YOUR POSITION? You have to love teaching! Participants

WHAT DO YOU DO AT MIZZOUREC?
WHY DID YOU APPLLY FOR THIS JOB?
I work on the Creative team, and my job involves filming a variety of videos that will published on MizzouRec’s social media channels or on the blog. I edit those videos and work with other creative team members to develop the MizzouRec brand.
I’m a photojournalism graduate student, and I came to photography and videography after my undergraduate career. So I really felt like I needed to get more hands-on experience to increase my skill set. I come to MizzouRec a lot for recreational activities. This just seemed like a really good fit because this is a place I’m familiar with and I can work on my skills too. It was very natural. We’re best friends. It’s not like you’re just coworkers and you leave and you don’t talk to them. You still hang out away from work.
Well, the beginning of the semester is a lot more handson because what happens is we get a lot of new people. During Free Week, we’re crazy busy because a lot of people want to try out the wall. It’s really exciting. I like teaching new people, getting them on the wall, and seeing them light up like ‘oh my god, I love this.’ We show you the basics and make sure you’re ready to climb. We like to say ‘we’ll show you the ropes.’ That’s what we do.
As a dancer, I came to college still wanting to dance, just not competitively. I didn’t exactly know where to go. The cool thing about the [Lifeworks Dance] program is that it’s a nice way to keep up your dance experience without having to do it competitively. Being an instructor is a great option if you love to dance or if you’ve taught before – I used to teach dance classes before I came to college. It was a good way for me to keep that up.

JAKE O'NEAL, 2014 FACILITIES & MEMBERSHIP In February of 2016, I went on a 60-day temporary duty assignment with the Air Force Reserves to Moody Air Force Base, GA. While there, I was promoted to Technical Sergeant (E-6). Upon my return, I was hand picked to be Acting Flight Chief in my shop for the Reserves - of course, that's only on weekends. On the civilian side, I work at the Saint Louis Zoo in development (fundraising). I was recently elected as Chair of the Young Professionals Committee for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) - St. Louis Chapter, which puts me on the AFP Board. My wife and I are also expecting a baby, due January 29, 2017. It has been a very busy and exciting year.

INTERVIEW BY MICHEALA SOSBY
HOW DID YOUR TEAM MIZZOU EXPERIENCE PREPARE YOU FOR LIFE AFTER MIZZOU? My experience with Team Mizzou was invaluable and prepared me for every job I held after college. The professional preparation of the interview process, Recruitment Team and Selection Team and the work experience as a fitness instructor and personal trainer shaped my entire professional career.
WHAT WAS THE MOST SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE YOU HAD AS A MEMBER OF TEAM MIZZOU?
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE CURRENT TEAM MIZZOU MEMBERS REGARDING THEIR TIME AT MIZZOUREC?
I was offered a position as a personal trainer while I was a fitness instructor. I took it and eventually became the Personal Training Manager. Training eventually became my professional career in Miami, FL and was my primary source of income for 8 years.
Take advantage of every professional and work opportunity you can. You never know how what you learn will shape your future career.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TEAM MIZZOU/MIZZOUREC MEMORY?
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WOULD CHANGE ABOUT YOUR TIME AT MIZZOUREC? I would've been in school later when the new place was finished! It was under construction when I graduated.
When we were doing auditions for new instructors, one in particular had a very memorable audition that became infamous among the instructors at that time (in a good way!). She became a great a instructor and I'm still in touch with her more than 10 years later!

LIGHTS, WATER,
RECREATION! SAMANTHA STOKES
F
rom the floodlights illuminating Stankowski Field to the bathing suit dryers in the general locker rooms to the water system in the Aquatic Center, there’s a whole lot of electrical and plumbing magic happening at MizzouRec. That’s where Duff Bergendahl and Steve Stockman come in — they’re the master plumber and master electrician who keep MizzouRec up and running every day. With over 55 years of combined experience, they’ve got the skills to solve just about any problem in the facility.
“WE’RE THE ONES WHO KEEP YOU BRUSHIN’ AND FLUSHIN’,” -DUFF Every morning, Steve and Duff try to make it to work by 6:30 to get a head start on maintenance and repair. This might include changing burnt-out light bulbs and making sure all the plumbing is running smoothly, but being in charge of repairs for such a huge facility means that things sometimes have to get done a little differently.
For instance, changing a light bulb is a whole different story when you’re on top of a 16-foot ladder in a racquetball court or suspended 100 feet over Stankowski Field to change the stadium lights. “It’s fine until the wind starts blowing – which has happened a few times,” said Steve. “[Changing the Stankowski Field lights] is probably the most interesting thing I’ve done.” Aside from general maintenance and repair, Steve and Duff said they’re constantly researching ways to keep MizzouRec on top of its game. “We’re one of the top rec centers in the U.S. and we like to stay that way,” said Steve. “We’re constantly renovating.” “Every day is an adventure because you never know what you’re going to get,” said Duff. “It’s just a mixed bag of everything.” While Steve and Duff enjoy the dayto-day variety of their work, they both said they also really like the community aspect of working at the Rec, which is something they haven’t always experienced in their previous gigs. “It’s nice to be part of a team,” said Steve. “I’ve never felt that with any of my prior electrical jobs.” Duff agreed. “Everybody here is like a big family.”
