You love movies and television. You dream of telling your own story on screen. You know you want to be an editor, but don’t know where to start. At Video Symphony we teach you how to take an Avid System out of the box, wire it up to its decks, drives and patch bays. You’ll learn how to take source material (film, tape, digital files) digitize or transcode it, analyze it, then become very proficient at organizing the content in an industry standard that’s used from Disney to NBC. All followed by the actual art of editing. Everything from short form promos, commercials and music videos to full-length feature films and movies of the week is covered. Story structure, visual effects, sound, color correction, and finishing are all key components of the TV & Film Editing program. Graduates walk away with job-ready skills encompassing the entire post production process. When fully trained, you’ll be able to work better than most of those already in the industry. That’s why Video Symphony’s Television & Film Editing program encompasses technical skills, aesthetics, and workflow knowledge to provide industry-level expertise in Avid, Final Cut Pro and Premier. CHAPTER 30: MONTGOMERY G.I. BILL
The MGIB program provides up to 36 months of education benefits. This benefit may be used for degree and certificate programs, flight training, apprenticeship/on-the-job training and correspondence courses. Remedial, deficiency, and refresher courses may be approved under certain circumstances. Generally, benefits are payable for 10 years following your release from active duty.
